<color=purple>"You know, it's somehow hard to pin down. Maybe it's because I was quiet, and the others knew I held a lot of anger inside me. I wanted to be alone because my I couldn't understand my sisters. Part of it may have been that I dealt with my anger late at night by looking through a telescope lens. Part of it may have been that my father detailed that gravity was, for the longest time in physics, un-unified with the other forces that my sisters used. But yet as I grew older, I realized I couldn't be apart from my sisters. And it felt like my dad was telling me that myself being alone is understandable. But there's always something that ties myself and my other sisters together. And it was our love of science and our family."

 

[Zepherus14]

"I can think of worse ways to deal with anger than looking through a telescope." Sophia joked, before growing quiet for a moment. "Speaking of family though... how much did you hear as we were leaving Bristol?" Sophia asked, knowing Gwen was probably asleep for it, but wanted to know, the subject still weighing on her.

 

[Slenn]

<color=purple>"I heard a few things. But EMily informed me as we were touching down. You say you were adopted? Did they ever say where you were born?"

 

[Drakmorg]

"Not great. Just a bunch of rocks."

Vicky called down to Sophia as she scanned the surrounding area.

 

[Chungus]

"It is commonly reffered to as a biogenetor, so that seems a sound assumption." Yeul stated in response to Winona. When the sisters began speaking to the propriator of the bounty store, she kept quiet, leaning against the wall with her hands clasped infront of herself.

Caius alowed EMily to speak first, standing by with his arms crossed. "Exactly how many of our traveling companions are these people intending to put on trial?" Caius questioned when the sisters finished speaking.

Standing outside the bounty store, Sam started an audio recording, initiated by vocal command. He stood by, and listened in on what was being said between the sisters and the bounty store owner. [color=edc393]Guess you're in hot water, huh? Wonder who's dealing with this situation. Some kind of world police?[/color]

It took him a while to notice, as he primarily focused on eavesdropping on the goings on in the bounty store, and avoiding people running into him, but eventually, Sam noticed the old woman staring at him. He turned his head towards her, tilting it a little. [color=edc393]Eh? Is she looking at me?[/color]

As the beacon was deactivated, the red light turned off, the device falling into Samus' hand there after.

Floating away from the ship, now reaching the jet-bike Elm was about to insert itself in the bike again, when it noted one of the beacons going offline. Realising the beacon had been found, Elm triggered its self-destruct mechanism.

There wouldn't be anything outwardly indicating the self-destruct had been triggered, although if she was still scanning the device, Samus might find electrical currents running through the device, despite seeming turned off. Wherther it was noticed or not, the device would implode, crushed to the point it was the size of a sandgrain. The radius of the forces responsible for the implosion wasn't too widespread, at most taking a chunk the size of a 15mm marble out of Samus' hand, if she didn't drop the device before it imploded.

If she could see about 250 meters outwards, Victoria might see parts of the jet-bike sticking out from behind the boulder it was parked behind, south of the ships.

 

[Zepherus14]

"Ya that's right." Sophia nodded. "And no, they didn't know either... My homeland isn't exactly as... advanced as it is in a place like this. Unless it was told to them, it would be next to impossible to figure it out now. Believe me, I asked them too. They said they were asked to give me a loving home when I was still a baby, they can't name who it was that they talked to either."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"Probably all of you. Definitely these ones." the man said, indicating the bounty posters for the group members.

 

[Slenn]

<color=purple>"Wait. So they couldn't identify who left you on your step parents door as a baby? That does sound bizarre. I'm sure you'll find clues if you do enough investigating. But of course that's assuming you get back there."

 

[Chungus]

Hearing the answer, Caius looked down to the posters, picking them up and shuffling them about until he found the bounties on Yeul and himself. "Neither my charge nor I were involved in this crime." He said with a deep scowl on his face, laying the posters back down on the counter and balling his right hand into a fist. "These charges are unjust."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"You mean you didn't come here and organise a meeting with the knights, which ended up with them dead? A meeting the crazy bat-summoning guy basically flat-out said was a trap?" the man asked, raising an eyebrow.

 

[Chungus]

"I did come here with the intention of arranging a meeting with the knights. But I played no part on their demise. That I came to set up a meeting was done with precicely the intention to avert the travesty that occurred." Caius responded, making no effort to hide what he did infront of the sisters. "I never intended for them to head to the place where we - that is, my traveling companions - were located. That paticular detail was not arranged by myself. I had intended to correct this error, but by then, it was too late."

 

[Slenn]

EMily wanted to ask Caius the about the obvious pink elephant in the room, but decided to ask it after they left.

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"Well, you did an excellent job organising this." the man said, as he removed the conspiracy charge from Caius and Yeul's bounties.

 

[Slenn]

<color=green>"In fact that's the reason why we came back a few hours ago: To arrange a time and a place to talk with the knights. Although, out of experience with them, one could say that their hostilities would've probably existed regardless of the location."

EMily felt like it was too late after Winona spoke.
"And I don't mean to pry, Caius. But was there a particular reason for withholding that information from the rest of the group?"

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"They probably would've, since I expect the whole 'probably a trap' thing was the reason for their hostility. That, and the fact that you're protecting the suspected mass murderer they're after." the man pointed out. When EMily confirmed Caius had hidden the meeting from the others, the man buried his face in his hands. "You lot have the worst foresight and planning abilities I have ever seen."

 

[Chungus]

"I would not deny I failed in producing a satisfactory outcome in this event. But I am neither a cons[irator, nor a murderer." Caius stated, unballing his fist and blowing a soft sigh. Looking down to the bounty papers, Caius was suprised to see the charges removed from the poster without the demand for evidence to his claim, but didn't say anything about it, not wanting to shoot himself in the foot. "Thank you for dropping the charges. This will be all." He stated, then began heading towards the exit of the store. "Come, Yeul."

Yeul bowed her head to the man behind the counter, then followed after Caius. "A band half consisting of renegades, where one half does not know what the other is doing, and the other does not care. Where one quarter would settle things with words, one half would jump straight to violence, and the other quarter cannot decide between the two - Would the reason for my withholding information not be anything but obvious." Caius asked EMily as he walked passed her, noting her looking at him.

Seeing Caius and Yeul move to the exit of the store, Sam took a step to the side and glanced around the street for a place to head to where he could watch those exiting the bounty store without risking them detecting him. Spotting a place, Sam crossed the street, moving to a lamp post on the opposite side, and watching the exit of the bounty store from there.

 

[Slenn]

The sisters waved goodbye to the shop owner and left as well.

"Caius, I don't know if there are scientists where you are from. But I and my sisters are. We wanted to investigate this as much as you did. Why withhold it from us? And the other diplomatic people could've gone along with you to see these knights."

 

[Chungus]

"The reason is twofold; I did not trust you to keep this information from those who would act rashly on it, and that, and that the more there would be that joined in this, the more difficult it would be to keep it in secrecy." Caius responed as he began walking back to the heading back to the ships, direct to the point of bluntness.

Yeul blew a soft sigh at Caius' choice of words.

 

[Slenn]

"I suppose that's fair. But you could've told us the reasoning behind keeping it a secret. Could you promise us to tell us in the future if this sort of thing happens again?"

<color=green>"I think I can see where you're coming from. But secrets are no fun. And, it pains me to say this but, now my trust in you has wained." Her small voice said.

 

[Chungus]

"It will not happen again." Caius responded to EMily, then glanced down to Winona as he walked. "That is of no consequence. We will be leaving." He anounced, then went back to looking straight ahead.

Yeul looked up to Caius, both her eyes widening a little, and a frown forming on her face. "Is this necessary?"
