OOC: Don't know what time it is for you but we should wrap this up. Why don't I let you write the ending, since grabbing the sword was the last idea I had.

OOC: Fair enough, I was about to suggest we wait until tomorrow to wrap this up anyway.
Sherman seemed stunned that Alek had stolen his sword, and even more surprised when he held it to his throat. So was Alek for that matter. Both stood there for a moment, panting after the fight. Sherman laughed. "That," He said, "Was a fine duel. Well done, young man." Alek lowered his blade, or rather, Sherman's. "Thank you, sir." He said. They traded swords, each returning to its owner.

"Yes, fine work indeed, son." Will said as he affectionately patted Alek on the shoulder and smiled approvingly after sheathing his sword. "Now if you'll excuse me, this old man needs a nap." he said as he walked off and found a bench to rest on. laying down on it he put his blue, wide brimmed hat (which he has totally had this entire time, seriously) over his eyes and quickly fell asleep.

Alastair had the pleausure of the man on the bus but now it seemed like a dream. He had followed this merc fellow further into the complex of a building.

Julia slowly pushed herself up, and took a burger. "Why... why did I hear swordfighting?" she asked.
Eragon had left the cafeteria when he awoke and perched himself outside the building. He climbed the side of the great fortress and perched on the corner of a wing of the building, legs crossed. Exhaling slowly he let his mind spill out once more to feel the world. Outdoors there was a great many wildlife and this pleased Eragon as he observed the life of the animals who lived at the edge of the imposing citadel. Once again his mind washed over those within the fortress and he ound it difficult to not glean information from the minds of his companions. He would have to tell them how to shield their minds so he didn't accidently learn something he shouldn't. Preginald's mind was differant but understandable, Dromaeus had the mind of a dragon, Will's was sharp and honed with experience, Alek's was tentative and on edge as he held a great many secrets, Joe's mind was...was...Joe's and quite a muddle, the Mercs however was odd; as if multiple people resided in one body and this puzzled Eragon.
His conciousness washed over Julia and to Eragon's suprise her mind was clouded and hidden. This was extremely odd as a usual mental defense would be a solidthought of one singular item not a cloud of nothing. It didn't make sense but Eragon let it pass for now, these people deserved to have their thoughts remain their own and Eragon had always tried to only skim peoples minds but he wasn't always succesful. He inhaled slowly and continue to sit and listen to the world.

Eragon stirred from his meditation. He had missed breakfast and so headed back to the cafeteria for to retrieve his food pouch. He entered to find the same people as before either asleep or eating. He removed yet another apple from his pouch before sitting down to eat it. He looked at the Merc who was awake also and said "If you'll forgive the intrusion a passing glance at your mind worried me slightly." Eragon continued to eat and wondered if his mind reading abilities would earn him the distrust of the others.
"It just seemed muddled, confused...seperate even as if it was in conflict with itself." Explained Eragon finishing his apple. "I'm sorry I find it hard to keep myself out of other peoples minds especialy when you lack the knowledge to defend it"
"I knew something was weird about you!" Joe looks on from his lazyboy, he never really fell asleep, too amazed by the ways of the sword. "So that explains Mr. Cool, Mr. Logic, and Mr. Rash."
Joe thought for a sec. He don't notice the voices in his head!? Do the other two know of Mr. Cool? Wasn't there something about mentioning multiple personalities being bad.
Joe looked on at the Merc. "Uhm...well... you see." He really got his foot in his mouth this time.

Sensing the awkwardness of where this was going Eragon decided to change the subject. "So Merc..." Eragon began "Do you wish to spar? I have already dueled Dromaeus, Alek and Will have dueled and the more practice the better I believe." Eragon smiled awkwardly.
The Merc looked at Eragon. "Yes, I will." he said, drawing his sword.

Eragon was pleased at the change of subject and drew his sword and heldout his arm, signaling the Merc to give him his. After recieving the weapon he dulled them once more and returned it to the Merc before striking a ready stance. "You may strike first>" Eragon said once more. H would wait until after the duel was over before talking to Joe he needed to focus now, he was getting a feeling of bad intentions from the Mercs mind.
The Merc looked around. He can block overhead attacks... his speed is incredible. Reaction times must be perfect... Let's do this.
The Merc jumped and slashed violently at Eragon's right shoulder with his sword, and obvious and easily parried blow, but flowed into a simultaneous lower-left kick.
