They... they don't serve a purpose. We should... we should try to connect everything, see how it could be beneficial to Joel. Why Wellington?" Artie walked to the front of his lecture hall and wiped his blackboard clear, indicating that the others should follow him. He was concentrating hard. Ever since the news, he'd been thinking about how it could be Joel's doing. So far, nothing.

OOC: does anyone have any ideas for a colour I could use to represent Artie? I'm using grey because he's a mouse in Concession... but its too pale.

He switched to talking mentally "I can read minds and it may be a more expediant way for me to gain information on Joel...informaton you could have in your head" Eragon hoped that didn't sound like a threat.

Artie turned to Eragon. "What if I'm right? What if it isn't Joel? We may as well work out if it is, because right now you're chasing a hunch and I'm going to do this at home any way."

Preginald took a seat at one of the chairs in the front row, "I am certain that what happened at Wellington was Joel's handiwork, indirectly at least. My surveillance teams spotted two men, Reno and Rude, who we know were previously working with Joel and I'm certain are still working for him now leaving Wellington shortly before its destruction. I followed them to a building owned by the Shinra company, who are now owned by Calley corp. if you haven't been paying attention to the news. And if you need anymore proof, I infiltrated the building and had a conversation with a 'Miranda Calley', ring any bells?"

"Whether or not it was Joel he is responsible for the deaths of a great many innocent people and most be held accountable." Eragon said aloud this time. Artemis had taken meating a mind reader suprisingly well thought Eragon.

Alastair was pacing in the room. He had a brief run-in with Joel. He still looked like a man who would do such a thing.OOC: Backtrack!

Alastair walked up to a mirror and felt his left side of his face. Will he evr grow skin there?

"Why Wellington though... I doubt Joel even knows where New Zealand is. It doesn't benefit him. In fact, the scandal would ruin his brother's company. And Miranda died. As a child. She died in her sleep. I've seen her... she's horrifying. And Joel only killed three people, that I know of." I killed the entire CITY of Ambrosia... "Joel is only slightly connected, and even that is disputable because he has no control over Calley Corp. And then question two: why Shanghai?"

"I thought because Joel was a sociopath who revels in destruction." Everyone looked at Alek. He had been silent the entire time. "What? I can't contribute?"

"What are you talking about, kid?" Artie said.

"I thought it was fairly evident that Joel is insane." Alek said. "He's clearly unstable and unpredictable. I wouldn't doubt that he's behind the destruction of Wellington." Alek decided to take a seat near the front of the room.

"No, Joel does things for a purpose. I'm the only person who could stop him, so he gave me cancer to kill me. He seduced Matt to give himself a healer. He used Rick to find his ex-girlfriend to manipulate Matt and reveal his powers. All to take over Calley Corp for his mother. He does not kill for fun. He finds fun when he kills, but he does not do it for the hell of it. He does it for a bigger purpose. And I can't see one. What is there in or near Wellington Joel would want destroyed or threatened?" Artie explained.

Joe looked up from the hover bus, all that running had tired him out. Where did everyone go?. As he got off, he saw the metal detectors. With a glimmer in his eys he ran up to the machine and looked at it curiously.

Eragon didn't trust Artemis. A mental image of great death and destruction passed Eragons mental gaze while he observed the white creatures mind. It was an obscure memory and not very focused but at sometime in the past this creature had witnessed great death...like Eragon. "Fine...whats the plan then?" Eragon asked his hand resting on his invisible sword.

One of the security guards, looked over at the 2D man. "Um... Can I help you?"

"Yes actually, what's this and where did the people that came from that thing *points to hoverbus* go?"

Artie facepalmed. "You want to take on Joel... without a plan. He's better than you, and he was a mental patient. And you don't even know if it is Joel. Why would Joel attack Wellington, and Shanghai, and a nuclear power plant?"

The security guard pointed into the auditorium where the others had gone. "But to get through you'll need to go through this metal detector." Joe looked at the machine, then back at the guard, then at the machine one last time. "Sure."

Joe walks through as the computer starts to fry as it just registered all the gold foil of the chocolate coins, completely missing the bazooka in the mess.

"Does that mean I can go?" Joe looks at the guards as they try frantically to extinguish the flaming computer.

Eragon sat back down. "I have many ways to beat Joel but the one that could arguably be called the easiest would be for me to work out his true name in the ancient language." He pulled a carrot out from a pouch, pointing it at Artemis saying "which I can only do if I know Joel as much as knows himself." He took a bite and added." Joel isn't nearly as dangerous as the last madman I fought but he is still a risk to those of this world."... and one of the few people who may know something about Saphira's whereabouts.

Joe was about to run off to meet up with the others, but he felt bad to just leave the guards as they scrambled to put out the fire. He looked over as a college student walked by with a beer as it sprayed all over him. Many nearby students pointed and laughed at the man. Joe jumped up onto the desk with the flaming computer, drew an extremely oversized can, shook it furiously, and sprayed it all over the computer, eventually putting out the fire.

"See you later!" Joe then ran off to find the other in the auditorium.

Eragon finished his carrot and stood up. He left the room to sit outside...he needed some fresh air. He sat and thought about what Artemis had said and by extension what he had thought.

"Oh hey there, Eragon. Where's everyone else?" Joe looked at Eragon as he stepped outside the auditorium.

"There in there, I'm just going out to think." Eragon said as he held the door for Joe.

"Alright, happy thinking!" Joe walked into the room with the others, seeing Artemis he exclaimed.

"Is that a mouse?!"
