Rozalin gave Ryu and indignant huff in response to his question. "Would I be trying so hard to return if I had run away? Besides, I had no reason to wish to leave my mansion. I had everything I needed there, a place to sleep, shelter, servants to provide me with food when I am hungry, books to read when I grew bored, what else could I have possibly wanted for?" She crossed her arms, partly to display indignance, and partly so she could rub her forearms to try and warm herself up a bit. She gave him an utterly perplexed look as she heard what he had said to Balthier. I...don't even have words for what I just heard.

Yukimaru hopped back once again in response to the wall of flames conjured up by the new girl. [color=01B7FF]"Well...perhaps this was just a misunderstanding, zam. What did you come here to do, zam?"[/color] Yukimaru asked the girl, hoping there was still a non-violent solution to the situation.

Several strange shapes rose behind the girl, sand and blood mixed together. 5 in total rose, each vaguely human shaped, with arms replaced with spears and shields. They said in a chorus, with no moving mouths "oh it was little one, it was. Sand and water are 3 dimensional. Moving under fires are no problem. Now, this would be imposdible if we were not a hivemind. Thank God we are. Makes killing you easier." the 5 sand bodies charged the girl, spears slashing out.

Holly nodded and hugged Ratsel. "Ok....Thank you..."

"Why not?....Is it in case he tries to shot me?" Black asked Royce, as she cleaned up the dishes.

"Well...yeah." Royce said as he did like Black.

"Not much of a god if she could be killed." Balthier said to Ryu as he stood up and went to check the ventilation gratings in the infirmary to see if the cold air came from any of them. "Why did she think of your kind as a threat to the world anyway?" As he checked one of the gratings, he noticed Rozalin stare at Ryu out of the corner of his eye. "Something wrong, princess? Aside from the cold that is."

Ratsel returned the hug to Holly, chuckling. "Well... It looks like they are getting into a fight. Oh dear..."

"Doesn't mean you wanted to run here... I knew a Princess who despised being forced to stay in the castle. She wanted to go out and be a normal person and experience life. She also used her position to do good in the world, or she did when I met her again a few years later. Though, she was a bit of a tomboy, I suppose." Ryu said to Rozalin.
"Who knows if we actually killed her..? According to the ancient of my people I met, we had been fighting her for thousands of years. Besides, you haven't seen the full power of the Brood just yet." He replies to Balthier.

OoC: @Drak: Talking about Ryu fighting a God? Because he thought the part about the onion.

The girl's ears twitch again as the sand bodies rise from the ground. She mutters under her breath. [color=BB66BB] [small] Such a pain... [/small] [/color] She yawns loudly as she turns toward the bodies.

Effortlessly, she uses her left handed swings to deflect all the spears. Afterwards, she hops back and delivers another flaming slash. This time, the flames bisect each of the bodies. [color=BB66BB] "I'm also going to assume that you can regenerate if you can rematerialize yourself like that." [/color] The girl shifts a bit as she calmly swings her blade around like a toy, making innumerable amount of cuts through the 5 bodies behind her. [color=BB66BB] "Cut....... Cut... CutCutCUTCUTCUTCUT!" [/color]

She turns toward Yukimaru with a nonchalant expression. [color=BB66BB] "If this idiot cowboy... [small] if I can even call this bloody monstrosity that.... [/small] will just give me the benefit of the doubt, I'll gladly explain it to you." [/color]

OoC: @Nail: Glad you like her so far. Hopefully she doesn't die straight out here (lol). She has absurd evasion, but really, really bad defense. Also, her sword ignores armor.

Black gave a very small smile. "Nice to know you care.....but I wouldn't worry about that.....I have...A few tricks up my sleeves If he tried to.....although I would prefer to approach without conflict..." She said to Royce, then finished her cup of tea.

The sand fell back into the desert, a minimal amount of blood lost. In their place, 5 pillars of flesh, merged together, rose. Along their sides were thick rows of quills whittled from bone. One of the pillars wore a skin face, stretched across it. "I do not ask much girl. Simply state why you hunt for Rex. It will be less painful. the quills began firing, making wet thuks each shot. Any missed shots would meet another pillar and be absorbed by it. Only a few were shot before he stopped and waited, passive, for the explanation.

Next to the carrier, some sand rose like a grape vine, pulling itself up the ship. It was stained red, with gray matter dribbled throughout.

"Well, I guess it's your decision. But hey, if you do get hurt, I'll do my best to be there for ya." Royce said with a small grin.

Yukimaru simply sighed. She held up one of her hands in an odd looking gesture as she stood still. [color=01B7FF]"Hopefully, zam, I will not need to try and break this up, zam."[/color]

"Well that is entirely untrue for me. I was perfectly happy where I was, and I still wish to return there as soon as possible. My father kept me locked away for my own safety, and now I must say that I agree with his decision even more. The outside world is horrendously brutal." Rozalin replied to Ryu.

@Salty: It was more about what he said about the person who just happened to be a being that transcended death. Not necessarily the fact that it looked like an onion. Just the wording made it sound like it was almost an accident or something. I dunno if I'm wording this right...

"Perhaps... Or... I could use this." Ratsel raised her right hand in the air as it manifested her Trombe armor around and included

The temperature then stopped dropping as Balthier, Rozalin and Ryu started to feel slightly colder. Heat trails seemed to escape from them and floated over to Bullet.

"Good to know..." Black replied to Royce, as she put her gloves back on. "If your excuse me I'm to rest for a little bit.....Goodnight Sir Royce..." Black said to Royce, giving him a small bow before leaving the mess hall and making her way to her sleeping spot. (aka her chair)

"Yeah that too!...we can...blast...themsss to..." Holly said to Ratsel, trailing off at the end she yawned and fell asleep, leaning against Ratsel. "Ssss.....Sssss.....Ssss....."

OoC: @Drak: Ah, well, no hint was really given about his actual identity. At most, you knew he could talk to some ancient trees for pretty much the entire game. It wasn't until the last bits of the game that we were given any idea of his identity, and it wasn't revealed until you confront the final boss. Didn't help that he couldn't talk.
"Pukyukyuuuuuu. Pukyu kyu." That's literally how it spoke... Combine that with the way you get him and you'd never suspect his true identity.

Ratsel chuckled at Holly as she fell asleep. "Quite the day isn't it?" Dematerializing her rifle and armor, she picked up Holly and carried her inside.

"Let's hope for your sake you are wrong then." Balthier said to Ryu, then began shivering more. Finding none of the ventilation grates were expelling cold air, he turned around and saw shimmering air going from himself, Ryu and Rozalin to Bullet. [sub]"What have we here?"[/sub] he muttered to himself as he walked over to Bullet, picking up a blanket from a bed and wrapping it around himself as he went.

The girl easily deflects the shots taken at her and walks straight up to the pillar with a face. She starts laughing [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C65oaIHsdYM] as it mentions pain. She doubles over and starts rolling on the ground a bit, tears starting to run down her face. [color=BB66BB] "Painful...? You -snrk- do know you haven't even -srnksrnk- touched me this entire time, right?" [/color] She manages to get back up and smiles at the pillar. [color=BB66BB]"Your stupidity amuses me, cowboy. Therefore, I'll grant you your request just this once." [/color] She reaches into the pocket of her leather pants and pulls something out. Then, she teleports on top of the face pillar and shoves the object in front of the face.

The picture depicts a group of people, all smiling, with a few of them on hoverboards. In the bottom-right corner, Bryce will see a younger looking version of Rex and this girl, along with a few other faces. [color=BB66BB] "I merely wish to meet an old friend. You should be feel ashamed that you delayed such a momumental reunion for him." [/color]

"That I could agree with..." Ryu replied to Balthier. "And what is this?" He said seeing the wisps in the air.

OoC: @Rosh: Hence the reason I never used him. Though, he was a good character from what I hear, and have tried out since then. High Hp, Attack, and Def (though his equipment choices sucked, and were even worse than the glass cannon of the group.), high counter rate (50% of the time), automatically restored about 10% of his max Hp every round, and learned two Breath attacks.
@Nail: Yep, he was an odd character. Here, let's look at one of my favorites from the game.
