"Goodnight Reiss." Jessica said to Ness as she fell asleep. She sighed and tucked her into bed properly. She gave Ness a kiss on the cheek as well, then laid down next to her friend and cuddled up close to her. Though it took her more than a couple hours of laying there restlessly in the dark, she did eventually manage to get to sleep.

 

[Kirke]

Tophat moved ever closer to the hotel, and contacted Jessica.
(To Jessica: Hello? Do you read me?)

 

[Chungus]

Loki made his way out of the palace, whenever he came acrossa closed door, opening it slightly, just enough to see the other side, then warping there. Now outside, Loki and still shrouded, he began making his way towards the hotel, nimbly evading whatever passerby might cross his path.

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica was in an incredibly light state of sleep when Tophat contacted her. She woke up and softly groaned to herself as she opened her eyes and looked around the room, but made no move to actually get up and out of bed. "Huh?...oh, hey Tophat...Yeah I hear you...what's the situation?..."

 

[DotSlash]

Ness was still asleep, undisturbed by Jess' movement.

 

[Kirke]

(To Jessica: I am closing in on your former masters mage. However, time will be short when it comes to escaping. Could you prepare a portal? The mage is outside the hotel in Shantiao.)

 

[Drakmorg]

"Of course...just give me some time to get ready and I'll be right there..." Jessica thought to Tophat as she climbed out of bed. She worked on getting herself dressed up in her disguise, having to take the time to wrap right arm up in bandages to hide it since she would be out in the open in Xiphatia. I really should just get a long-sleeve coat...

 

[Kirke]

Tophat headed up towards Rita, but stayed some distance away around a corner.
(To Jessica: Make it quick, I don't know where the 'master' is. Does he have a name?)

Ness had slept in her clothes and slowly got up as Jess began moving. [color=ff4599] "Hmmm.... Good morning, Jessica... What's going on...?" [/color] She said a little lazily as she stretched and sat up in bed.

 

[Kirke]

The Rookie was sleeping leaning against the wall in Ness 'n Jess's other room.

 

[Drakmorg]

"Yeah, he's named Loki...almost there..." Jessica had just about finished getting herself ready when Ness got up. Now fully in disguise, she turned on her bracelet and answered, "Tophat needs our help with something. He's in Shantaio and thinks he's gonna need an extraction somewhere else soon."

 

[Chungus]

Loki made his way towards the hotel, now on the opposite side of the street of it.

 

[Kirke]

(To Jessica: Loki? Like the god of deciet? How on Earth could you trust him? Bring the portal up here.) - Tophat said, showing the area Rita was in. It then moved forward and hit her with a mental blow akin to a hammer strike to the head. If this did not knock her out, it would follow up by hitting her over the head.

OoC: Uh... shouldn't we wait until @Fur gets on?

Ness looked over before popping in her contacts and nodding. [color=ff4599] "Alright... Who are we extracting? ...Rita? I don't think that necromancer would be set up in the capital unless Loki really connected himself well." [/color] She asked as she shifted herself out of bed and tapped on Rookie's shoulder. [color=ff4599] "Corporal... We need you to get up. We're moving soon." [/color]

 

[Kirke]

OoC: @Dot: Yeah, alright. We'll need to time bubble it now then.

OoC: Admittedly, I kind of feel bad for bringing this up since we've been waiting for so long.

 

[Furioso]

OoC: Back from work, @Kirke, would having a strong mind protect against the first blow?

 

[Kirke]

OoC: @Furi: Yes, but not by much since Tophat has an extremely strong mind of its own, and is focusing that on Rita.

 

[Furioso]

OoC: @Kirke, ...k, really don't like how your character can just toss out unblockable mind attacks.
Off to work again

Due to Rita's very strong mind, she was able to deflect enough of the mind attack to not be knocked unconscious, and to allow her to scream. Since she was just standing against the hotel wall she was also able to see Tophat coming, but due to the mind attack all she could do was feebly shield herself with her arms which, though weak, offered a cushion against a head blow.

 

[Kirke]

(To Jessica: Portal, now. Be ready for a fight.)
Tophat gut-punched Rita to make her drop her guard, then followed up with another blow to the head.

The Rookie grunted and got up, grabbing his SMG.
OoC: @Furi: They're a lot less effective than a bullet, and can't kill or do much more than disorient and shake up the opponent. Keep in mind that in all other regards, Tophat is quite fragile. A large fireball could kill it, and it has no way to shield itself from that.
