"I think..." Makoto rummaged around in her tail a bit, and pulled out a bag of assorted nuts. "This enough?"

Echo pulled on Jess' sleeve as she tried to indicate that she thought they should get some cold weather cloths.

Tao hugged Saya as she sat with her.

The Rookie took a food ration from his rucksack and slowly walked over to the man, holding his hands up in a universal "I'm unarmed" gesture.

With no more imps in sight, Loki brushed the leaves that had fallen into his collar off and continued on his way, seemingly paying the laughter coming from the surroundings little mind. "Annoying pests." he mumbled to himself as he walked. "Are beasts such as these common?" he asked Roland after casting but a brief glance if he was still alive.

OoC: @Furi: You're near Everwood. You could join up with Loki or try to find the group, who may or may not head to Rockbyrd.

As the Rookie approached the man scrambled back from him, his snarling face reflected in the Rookie's visor He reached out for his sword (which appeared to be made of some kind of gleaming, polished bone) that was lying several feet away. It rattled and then slid a few inches closer to him, but then it stopped and he slumped in exhaustion. As Makoto pulled out the bag of nuts however, it caught his attention. He watched her hold them out, then slowly began to try ad get to his feet. As he did so his cloak hung down and in its shadow, something was visible hanging from his tunic for a moment. Some kind of elongated metal tube, large enough to fit the human hand. Then he managed to regain his feet and it was gone.

"Well, this seems to work, so..." Makoto walked towards the man slowly, holding out the bag.

 

[Saltyk]

"Well, sir, these creatures are more common in Xiphatia. They say the Xiphatians create them or that they are devils. That are attracted to the use of magic." Roland replied.

Her business in the area completed, Rita decided to head into the forest, reasoning that the Ents wouldn't harm her if she didn't set anything on fire.

Saya didn't know what to make of Tao's hug, so she just patted Tao's head lightly with her free hand and gave a small smile.

Lyra watched the new arrival, curious as to how he moved so. She also recalled the drones, and all returned to her. Suddenly, her bracer squawked, much to Lyra's surprise.

 

[Random berk]

The man moved slowly and painfully closer to Makoto as she approached him. He smelled as bad as he looked, as though he'd been rolling in some alien swamp for years. When they got close to one another, it became apparent that he wasn't much taller than Makoto was. Getting close enough he reached out and grabbed the nuts then retreated as rapidly as he could, as though afraid that it was a trap. When he was at a safe distance he tore the packet open with his teeth and began eating the contents ravenously.

The Rookie looked over at Makoto, then shrugged and walked back to his rucksack. He packed the medkit and ration pack into it, then put it back on.

@Salty: Well that was a short visit.

"Oh good. I like how warm it is around here. And, uh, loose will work, I suppose." Jessica replied to the shopkeeper, not really knowing what to ask for. Jessica pulled back her arm in reflex at Echo tugging at her sleeve. "Watch the sleeves!" She snapped. After realizing her outburst, she quickly said, "Er, sorry. What is it? Do we need something else?"

"What... did I just see?" If Dal'Sheed had his helmet removed, one would see a dumbfounded face. A girl with a bushy tail gives the dirty man a bag of nuts to eat..... 'kay.

"Well, someone's hungry... and needs a shower..." Makoto watched the man, unsure what to think. "He's like an... animal." Makoto almost spat out that last word. She didn't like using it.

OOC: Wai, are you talking about the reflection in the helmet? Ah, it doesn't really matter. I was making a point, using visual description instead of just saying it outright.

"Well, then, while he does that, shall we discuss where we shall head? Rockbyrd, Lakewest, Everwood, or shall we make for Blake's camp?" Savranth asked.

Rita would find that the forest seemed to move as though alive. She couldn't be sure that there weren't more Treants watching or or what was a tree and what wasn't.

The shopkeeper would start to look around and gather various clothes. Eventually, she came back with a couple different options. "I wasn't sure of your sizes or what you would like, so I brought a bit of everything. Feel free to look through it."
