Should we find a mage in this Everwood, I will bring this notion to their attention, masquerading as one who is gathering facts on the subject for a book." he added. Upon hearing the imp's laughter again, Loki let the sceptre slip out of his grasp for a moment, catching it near the handle in preparation for striking the imps. "They most certainly are persistent..."

Jessica perused the clothes the shopkeeper brought around to show her. She examined the options she was presented with, holding them up with her left hand solely to get a better look. Eventually she found a pair of brown pants that roughly gave her the vibe that they were better travel wear than her skirt. "I think this'll be fine for me. How much are these?" She asked the shopkeeper.
She glanced behind her over at Echo and said, sounding slightly impatient, "Well? Pick out what you want already." She gestured to the clothes the shopkeeper had brought over with her head.

Echo crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head at Sable.

"Yeah, I agree. Whatever happens, we can't just leave him. The state he's in says to me that he can't take couldn't adapt to this place very well in the first place, and if we leave him here, he won't last more than a couple of days." Remembering what they were supposed to be doing she glanced back at Savranth.
"I'll follow this party. I really don't like the idea of following a bunch of soldiers into battle, but I don't know this land, and at least if I hang back I might be able to help out, provide support. Take care of any big predators that we do run into while we're on the road, that kind of thing."

When Tophat touched the wild man's mind, the man jumped, and at the same time, Tophat felt a great force of will pushing him back. It's thoughts were garbled and wordless, as the man had clearly forgotten whatever language he once spoke, but his mind would reveal that he was very young, little more than a boy, and also very powerful. His memories were unshielded for only a moment, but they revealed an alien jungle with towering vegetation unlike any Tophat had seen, a brief flash as some shrieking crustacean predator lashed out with a chitinous talon, and for only the briefest instant, something darker. Only a whirl of emotions with not enough time to pick out any details.

Suddenly, a bright cheery voice came over the comm. "Hey there Lyra! It's Xyleena! I understand you want all hunters at your location?" Lyra glared at the bracer, and sighed. "Yes. A Great Hunt's been meeting, and we could use all the help we could get." The hiss went for a second or two, and the voice cut in "Okay then! We'll be on our way! Anything else you need before we start heading over?" "Yeah, download dancing blade's memoirs of the great hunt. I met someone collating the hunts." "Gotcha! Be on our way, should arrive in, I don't know, a week? Math is hard, so its only a guess, but you look a week away. See you soon!" Lyra sighed and closed the comm.

"Then, I suppose that makes sense. See if that guy will come along." Savranth said referencing the Wild Man.

Rita would walk along the road for a while, with trees surrounding her, never really sure if they were trees or treants. Eventually, she came to a small town of houses all made like log cabins. Perhaps even more striking was that every single person was a beastkin.

A lumber town. Built in the middle of a massive forest. The people here, cut down trees for building material, paper, and firewood. They also plant trees to keep up the supply.

As Loki and Roland walked, the Imps attacked again, this time in a larger group.

Echo nodded and went looking through the cloths. She found some better pants for herself and held them out to the clerk.

Tao happily let Saya drag her around.

He turned to Makoto. "Actually, I never got your name. Actually I've never seen you before until this morning."

Saya looks around the general store with Tao on her back, she picks up a yellow ribbon and two small bells. Saya then places them on the counter and looks at the shopkeeper. "How much...human..."She asked politely.

Speaking of, I am thinking of bringing Laguna back in, but I don't really know what to do with him...

Makoto looked at Dal. "Makoto Nanaya. And belive it or not, I can be stealthy when I want to." Makoto nodded at Cynane and Savranth, then saw the wild man jump. She slowly walked towards him, slightly bent over and one reaching out, like one would approach a scared cat. "Come on."

Rita looked around before approaching one of the beaskin "Could you tell me where I am?"

As the imps jumped out of the surrounding trees and foliage, Loki pointed the scepter at a cluster of them and fired a blue energy ball, coming from the gem. Whatever the projectile would hit, it would explode upon doing so.

Tophat quickly pulled back, not even attempting to fight the man's will.
God damn!

The Rookie took off his rucksack and took out Tophat, putting it aside while looking for something in his rucksack.

Lyra turned to Savranth "Which place would be best for landing? Because I've got more people arriving to join in the fight. Well, I hope they're arriving, anyway. If Xyleena is piloting, I can't be too sure they're heading in the right direction."

"You can be stealthy? Even with that bushy tail of yours? Oh and my name's Dal'Sheed, a Maintainer from D'ni."

"Yep!" Makoto beamed. "Nice to meet you, Dal."

"And I'm Cynane Hellenis. Good to meet you, Makoto." Cynane said. As she did so the young man edged nervously towards Makoto, her coaxing having the desired effect.
