The shopkeeper would find that the weapon was unblemished and was crafted from some unidentifiable material. It was similar to obsidian in that it was translucent, but too dark in colour to see through, and carried an exceptionally sharp edge. Unlike obsidian, however, it didn't fracture conchoidally, but was flawlessly cut as though it had been crafted with lasers and other modern equipment.
"No... I come from much further away than that." Cynane replied before reaching for the handle.
"If I may..." She picked the weapon up with one hand far down the long hilt, and the other up near the blade, her front leg forward in an extended stance and her back straight as she held the weapon straight out in front of her. Backstepping to a space where she could have some room, she swung the sword in a wide arc, bracing herself against the weapon's momentum with her legs spaced properly, leaning away from the blade. It swept around with a loud whoosh and then over her head, slamming down on the floor with a thud that shook the ground beneath their feet. Yanking it loose, she brought it back to the counter. Though it had cut a deep gash in the floor, the blade was unmarked.
"It's heavy, but not to heavy to wield." She explained. "You just have to learn to use its momentum and balance yourself against it. I'd use a weapon like that against very large prey like a Gravios, but in battle, nothing would stop this blade once it starts swinging. I know that armies have a use for weapons like that."
