Slightly curious by the crashing noise, Loki headed towards it, seeing the man yelling at another person which he couldn't see due to the dust blocking him from sight. As he tried to pick up on what the man visible was yelling about, Loki approached.

 

[Furioso]

Rita headed towards the sound of yelling, putting on her goggles to block the dust.

 

[Random berk]

Cynane glanced sharply at the shopkeeper.
"I'm not making up shit." She retorted. "Every weapon and suit of armour I have is imbued with a Wyvern Spirit like the one in this jewel! The whole reason I sold you that Epitaph Blade is because it doesn't have a Spirit that I know intimately and..." She stopped and lowered her head for a moment, calming herself before glancing up at the shopkeeper.
"Forget it. It probably makes sense for you not to believe, and I don't have one of my weapons to show you what they do. I'll hang onto this then. Thank you for trading."

Waving Noel off, Ness walks into town while just browsing through the articles on her tablet.

 

[Saltyk]

"Hah! See? I told you I could do it. You should give me a raise!"
"A raise? You fool! There's a reason we use mechs to do this works."
"Such as?"
"For one, They're less destructive!"
The man said.

As the dust cleared Loki and Rita would see a young man. The right half of his hair was black while the left half was white. He wore clothes not dissimilar to the uniforms of the other worker.
"Come on, I need a raise to finish my work."

"A pleasure doing business with you ma'am." The shopkeeper said to Cynane.

 

[Random berk]

Cynane nodded and bowed slightly before pocketing the jewel, taking the credit card and heading back out into the street.

[u]Continued illnesses at Granite Pass[/u]

There continue to be unexplained illnesses cropping up in Granite Pass.  Nausea, vomiting, and even hair loss seem to be fairly common symptoms.  Experts believe that it is signs of radiation poisoning, but there is no known source, beyond that it seems to be most common in those who work in a new shaft.

The authorities have ordered that no new work be done in this shaft.

A visionary, are we? Loki thought as he approached the man and the younger one with the duo-coloured hair. For the moment, he stood by, wishing to pick up what was being talked about without actually asking.

"You should give up on that. What good do you think you're gonna do with all that nonsense?"
"Obviously, I'll change the world. With the new technology that I am developing-" The young man with the two toned hair replied.
"Always that I'll change the world line." The supervisor started to walk off. "Get back to work."

Hmm.... I'm not a doctor, but this looks like it might be worth looking into. Especially if the group wants to head that way... Ness continues looking through the headlines.

[u]Admiral Idula Missing?[/u]

This office has attempted to contact several members of the Legaian military and officials for opinions on the war.  While all have stated either no comment or a show of support for the war, repeated attempts to contact Admiral Idula have yielded no results.  Officially she is always said to be out at the time.  But unofficially several people have confirmed that she hasn't been seen in weeks.  No one knows what this means.

Not finding the appearant topic of conversation paticularly interesting, Loki approached the supervisor, believing he must be in charge of the quarry, or at least be able to direct himt to the one that was. Excuse me. What was that about?" he asked the supervisor, more as a way to initiate conversation then anything else.

Rita walked up to the young man with the weird hair "Think you'll change the world huh? Just what super tech are you developing?"

...Admiral? Could this be... Savranth's mother? No... that's a bit of a wild guess. Maybe I can confirm this by showing this article to him... But let me look for something first... Ness flicks through another article or two, hoping to find one focusing on new technologies.

Savranth holstered the pistol and began to walk back into town.

"Oh that? That idiots always trying to get more money. I humor him from time to time as he does occasionally... Don't know why I do. They always end up in a similar fashion."

The young man looked at Rita. "It's almost done, actually. I call it Synthetic Automated Techical Assault Nanites. They actually have about a dozen uses, though." He answered. Rita couldn't help but notice that his right eye was blue, but his left eye was red. If she looked real closely she could see that the iris was actually cybernetic.

Cybernetics? Ugh, reminds me of that Zagi creep.
"Oh yea? Judging by that guys reaction it doesn't sound almost done."

"That strikes me as quite a waste of both time and resources, then. But that is not what I came here for." Loki answered, then paused for a moment. "I assume that you are in charge of this quarry?"
