The Rookie exited the store, and quickly vanished in the rain. He checked his HUD for the way to Winterhorn, then set off.
OoC: I'm off for the night. @All This has, so far, been a very enjoyable experience! A bit messy at the start, but I did drop a metal pod from the sky so I've only got myself to blame.

Since I don't know the English term, I'll say it in Swedish: Gott nytt år!

Saya yawned a bit, seeing as she realized she hadn't rested here since she arrived. "Night...humanoid Dal!" She said to him, then sat in one of the chairs in the corner of the room and fell asleep almost straight away.

Echo had also been interested in Saya's little song and dance. She stared to wonder if she could try and collaborate with her in some way. When she saw the creature go to sleep, she settled on finding out later.

Tao was still sleeping on the table, snoring lightly.

"The lakes out front. Daddy's Inn is built on the beach. You can see the rock just barely shining out there." Mint said with a smile. "Will you go get the rock for Mint?" She asked rather excitedly.

"What did I do? Hardly a thing. I simply made the man see sense." Loki answered Sable. "There are no long term effects. As for the limitations, the spell merely makes one see sense. That is all it can do."

The serpent hissed when Lyra's drones opened fire on it, the shots cautherising the entry wounds, preventing it from bleeding. Turning to face its attacker, the serpent lunged itself at Lyra.

"Goodnight, Saya."

He continued to listen in on Mint and Rika's conversation.

OoC: @Salty, is this the same lake where Lyra is?
"I suppose I can, I'll be right back." said Rita as she prepared to leave the inn

'Hmmm, but who's sensibility is that sense coming from I wonder' Sable thought to himself, "Well as long as he wasn't harmed I have no qualms. Now, I think I shall look around this 'inn' and find some of the other Travelers to meet." Sable leaves Loki and finds Dal'Sheed "We met earlier, but we didn't really talk much. What, may I ask, is a Maintainer, where you come from?"

Thyme returned with a pen and paper, but found Adam to have fallen asleep. "Damn... I guess we'll put him up somewhere for the time being. These paintings better be good."

"Yay! Thank you, missy. You may want the help of a water magic user!" mint said to Rita.

After recording quite a bit in her device, Ness simply lays back in her seat and looks up at the ceiling, listening to the others. That disk... What does it hold...? Given the fact we abandoned Jess, would I even be able to understand what the disk holds...?

"A Maintainer inspects worlds and documents them for future reference. Our race, the D'ni, have the ability to describe worlds in books we call Ages. These Ages can be travelled to by placing your hand on the front page, which will then transport you there. Before an Age can be commonly visited, it's supposed to be inspected by a Maintainer so that the world doesn't have any faults or instabilities. If sentences within the book contradict, such a thing might happen. The book that described this world was supposed to be used as an example for novice writers on the effects of civilizations on worlds and vise versa."

In one of the rooms in the Barracks of Tiberius' base, there was the sound of a thud, followed by several groans, then silence, and finally a storm of shuffling which ended with Sasha running out of the doorway. "How could I have overslept?!"

Running outside she looked around, dumbfounded by the damage the battle had done to the base, she couldn't understand how she'd managed to sleep through it all.

"Very well then." Loki absent mindedly said to Sable, then stood up and approached Paprika. "Exscuse me, madam. Might I ask you a question?"

 

[Sablestick]

"So you travel and create other worlds via written literature? Have you seen in any of your readings a mention of a place called Castlewood?"

 

[Furioso]

As Rita left she said "Well I can handle that."

She headed for the lake, once she could see the battle site with Lyra and the serpent she said"A sea monster? Really? No wonder no one would help her get the stone..." and ran towards Lyra

"The books are more descriptions of worlds than stories themselves. We don't create the worlds, we describe them. It's part of a theory that there are infinite number of worlds that can exist. With enough time and patience, one would be able to describe one place out of that infinity. But I'm afraid I haven't seen any sort of Age in which there was a Castlewood. I don't think another Maintainer in the Guild has either."

Paprika looks up at Loki, sitting next to Thyme. "What is it, sir?"

Volarian was making rounds around the base. The airship had arrived with their supplies and the soldiers and Golems has all arrived as well. As a result there was now a flurry of people running about doing repairs and maintenance, now. He spotted Sasha, and approached her. "Miss? I would have thought that you would leave with the others." He said.

"Oh well." Sable sighs "So use said that the book detailing this world is usually used for practice for those who are unskilled? Since I assume that you are not unskilled, may I ask why you were selected to examine this 'Age'?"
