Volarian nodded. "I believe they were heading to Winterhorn, to try to find some information from the mages there. That's what they hoped, I heard." He said, then saw Jessica approach. "Hello, miss. Are you okay?"

"I see. What about your husband? Would he know?" Loki asked. He also wanted to ask why it was Paprika was, while Mint had green hair, bur refrained from doing so, believing she wouldn't take to well to a stranger asking such questions.

Being half blinded and busy attacking Lyra, the serpent had no idea Rite just attacked it also. As a result, the spear imbedded itself it the serpent's flesh. Due to the depth the serpent was at, the spear struck it considderably lower then intended.

OoC: I assume FPS left.

"Well then, the Guild won't be able to punish me for that, even if I tell them. In that case, I can show you now. But if you so choose to use this writing in any way, you have to promise me you will not use it like a toy. The Art is extremely delicate, and it should not be used for greed." He extended out his hand to make a deal.

"Thank you. I may learn more about the strange alter that I found when I first arrived."

Lyra was sent flying up, but that hardly gave her plan pause as her drones continued to fire lnto the scarred hole the snakes eye had held. Lyra was stunned, but took aim and fired again, this time at the monsters nose.

"I swear upon my honor as a Knight of Castlewood that I shall, to the best of my abilities, not misuse this tome or the writings contained within" Sable shakes the extended hand

OoC @Furioso: Yes. Still is. And by lower, I meant it the spear hit the serpent lower on the body, rather then its neck. Sorry, I should've clarified.

"My world? What do you seek to answer?" Savranth asked.
He looked at Dal'Sheen "The one near my father's base?"

"I don't know... I don't think so, though..." Paprika looked to Thyme. "Honey do you know the password of Winterhorn?"
Thyme frowned. "No, I do not. We didn't really go to the school, very often. And when we did, we were escorted by the Headmaster."

"Very well then. And I swear upon my duties as an official member of the Guild of Maintainers, assume full responsibilities for the consequences." He pulls out his linking book to D'ni and unlocks it with a key he keeps in another pouch.

He opens the book to a page with a black rectangle that slowly but surely shows an image for the D'ni civilization.

He then flips a few more pages forward to show the D'ni text.

Hearing herself having been addressed, Jessica now felt comfortable to just step right up to Sasha and Volarian and take part in what they were talking about. "I'm just going to assume you mean all those other people who were at the alter with us the other day. And, in a way, yes. But it's fine, I know right where they are....Assuming they all stuck together." Jessica replied to Sasha. She didn't seem to notice that Sasha's tone was a little off. She placed her left hand on her chin and said, "You know, I don't think I ever caught your name."

"Hmm?" She hummed as Volarian spoke to her. "Oh yes, perfectly fine." She pleasantly replied.

Noticing the scent of chocolate, a puzzled look grew on her face. She sniffed at the air a few times to confirm, then asked, "Uh, does anyone happen to know why it suddenly smells like a candy shop here?"

"This planet which we are standing upon. I am not from it and I wish to learn of its inner workings, its history, how magic works here, and what, if any, events may have caused this multiversal anomaly. Also, on this world, magic and technology are bitter enemies it seems, but on my world they co-exist and sometimes even combine to make new discoveries and new and helpful creations. Why are they separated here?" He told Savranth, and then he looks at Dal'Sheed's book "So, this creates an image of the world, but how would you use this to travel?"
ooc: @Slenn Do you care if Sable can actually read it, and if you'll allow him too, what would it say? Also D'ni scripture kinda looks like Hebrew to me

OoC @nailik sorry about that delay, still trying to find the balance of checking when to post and focus on league.

"Well, this book acts as a one way gate to the other world. If I placed either one of my hands upon the image of the book, I would be teleported, or linked, to that realm. But the book would remain in place. So if I were to teleport now, the book would be resting on this table afterwards. And I say this to you as a bit of advice since I know you are a far more trustworthy man than that Loki character, please don't go to D'ni. Most of the high class doesn't take kindly to outsiders. I'm one of the few who doesn't."

"Yes, that would be it I think. It's the only alter I know of."

OOC: @Sable. It doesn't hurt Dal'Sheed in either way. If Sable learns it, then there's no way the Guild can punish Dal'Sheed because Sable wouldn't know the exact description of D'ni (or Earth) that allows him to go there.

OoC: @FPS, oof, League is a bad game to play when things are happening in the RP, better for slower moments, or play an easy bot game where you can go afk for a tiny bit and it won't really impact the game.

A confused Rita did the same thing as before, this time, noticing that the runes on the ground were different from the ones she was familiar with when casting "Spread Zero." She took care to aim for areas of the serpent that were a safe distance from Lyra

Savranth shakes his head. "I don't know. Those are questions whose answers we have not had. Our countries have been separate for a long time. You may find the answers you seek in the books at the library, but you may simply find them in the hearts of men. I know not the answer."

[hr]

Volarian looks around. "I don't smell anything. Are you sure you're okay, Miss? I could check over you, I'm a fairly talented healer."

OoC: @Slenn: By the way, Savranth asked Dal'Sheen a question.

"My name? Sasha, and your's?" She said to Jessica.

Upon being asked about the candy shop, Sasha's grip on her cloak's front tightened slightly. "No... I don't smell anything like that. Maybe you're just smelling something from the mess hall? Beastkin are supposed to have higher senses of smell right, that's what Savranth had mentioned I think?" Sasha said.

"I shall take your advice and not visit your realm. If I will be treated with hostility, then I see little reason to go there, especially when I can get a description of it from this tome." and to Savranth he says "Then it appears I too have a reason to visit this library now. If we encounter others who use technology on this world, I may have to ask them a few questions before they are put to the blade."

OoC @FPS: What Furi said.

"I see. I thank you for your time regardless." Loki said to both Paprika and Thyme, then went back to where he had been sitting before, opting to wait for Rita to return the stone to Mint and simply pick up on the password as it was told, rather then attempt to retrive to the stone himself.

The drone's repeated fire to the serpent's eyesocket began slowly but to surely burn through the skull. Hissing in agony, the serpent swiped its tail at the drones. As it had its head turn to Lyra to look at the drone, it didn't notice her taking aim at it, and wouldn't understand it even if it did. Her shot hit the serpent's left nostril, charring the orrifice, and preventing it from catching a scent through that paticular nostril.

This time, Rita's spell was much more accurate and ended up hitting the serpent fairly close to the skull. Although the spear didn't sever its spine, it did leave it stunned for a moment.
