Being half blinded and busy attacking Lyra, the serpent had no idea Rite just attacked it also. As a result, the spear imbedded itself it the serpent's flesh. Due to the depth the serpent was at, the spear struck it considderably lower then intended.

Lyra was sent flying up, but that hardly gave her plan pause as her drones continued to fire lnto the scarred hole the snakes eye had held. Lyra was stunned, but took aim and fired again, this time at the monsters nose.

He opens the book to a page with a black rectangle that slowly but surely shows an image for the D'ni civilization.

Hearing herself having been addressed, Jessica now felt comfortable to just step right up to Sasha and Volarian and take part in what they were talking about. "I'm just going to assume you mean all those other people who were at the alter with us the other day. And, in a way, yes. But it's fine, I know right where they are....Assuming they all stuck together." Jessica replied to Sasha. She didn't seem to notice that Sasha's tone was a little off. She placed her left hand on her chin and said, "You know, I don't think I ever caught your name."
"Hmm?" She hummed as Volarian spoke to her. "Oh yes, perfectly fine." She pleasantly replied.
Noticing the scent of chocolate, a puzzled look grew on her face. She sniffed at the air a few times to confirm, then asked, "Uh, does anyone happen to know why it suddenly smells like a candy shop here?"
"Hmm?" She hummed as Volarian spoke to her. "Oh yes, perfectly fine." She pleasantly replied.
Noticing the scent of chocolate, a puzzled look grew on her face. She sniffed at the air a few times to confirm, then asked, "Uh, does anyone happen to know why it suddenly smells like a candy shop here?"
"This planet which we are standing upon. I am not from it and I wish to learn of its inner workings, its history, how magic works here, and what, if any, events may have caused this multiversal anomaly. Also, on this world, magic and technology are bitter enemies it seems, but on my world they co-exist and sometimes even combine to make new discoveries and new and helpful creations. Why are they separated here?" He told Savranth, and then he looks at Dal'Sheed's book "So, this creates an image of the world, but how would you use this to travel?"

"Well, this book acts as a one way gate to the other world. If I placed either one of my hands upon the image of the book, I would be teleported, or linked, to that realm. But the book would remain in place. So if I were to teleport now, the book would be resting on this table afterwards. And I say this to you as a bit of advice since I know you are a far more trustworthy man than that Loki character, please don't go to D'ni. Most of the high class doesn't take kindly to outsiders. OoC: @FPS, oof, League is a bad game to play when things are happening in the RP, better for slower moments, or play an easy bot game where you can go afk for a tiny bit and it won't really impact the game.
A confused Rita did the same thing as before, this time, noticing that the runes on the ground were different from the ones she was familiar with when casting "Spread Zero." She took care to aim for areas of the serpent that were a safe distance from Lyra

Savranth shakes his head. "I don't know. Those are questions whose answers we have not had. Our countries have been separate for a long time. You may find the answers you seek in the books at the library, but you may simply find them in the hearts of men. I know not the answer."

Upon being asked about the candy shop, Sasha's grip on her cloak's front tightened slightly. "No... I don't smell anything like that. Maybe you're just smelling something from the mess hall? Beastkin are supposed to have higher senses of smell right, that's what Savranth had mentioned I think?" Sasha said.

If I will be treated with hostility, then I see little reason to go there, especially when I can get a description of it from this tome." and to Savranth he says "Then it appears I too have a reason to visit this library now. If we encounter others who use technology on this world, I may have to ask them a few questions before they are put to the blade."

The drone's repeated fire to the serpent's eyesocket began slowly but to surely burn through the skull. Hissing in agony, the serpent swiped its tail at the drones. As it had its head turn to Lyra to look at the drone, it didn't notice her taking aim at it, and wouldn't understand it even if it did. Her shot hit the serpent's left nostril, charring the orrifice, and preventing it from catching a scent through that paticular nostril.
