Aqua swung her open hand up to parry the swing, letting out a small shockwave wrong enough to throw a smaller person completely off balance from the same hand at the same time. In the same motion, she pivoted and swung her mace diagonally upwards, aiming to hit Heno in his side, although if her parry failed Heno's attack would interrupt her.

 

[Demonjazz]

Not expecting his opponent to try and block his weapon with her hand, the shockwave off balanced Heno enough for Aqua to get a hit on him. Yet again it felt like Heno was an iron pillar when he got hit. He did a quick thrust towards Aqua shortly after he regained his balance.

Caught off guard by her weapon harmlessly bouncing off of Heno's skin, the sword stabbed right into her midsection, although it would only go in about an inch. She grunted and stumbled backwards, no visible injury where she had been stabbed, but still in obvious pain. She got back into her original stance, and this time her mace began to glow.

Heno brought his sword to make a diagonal slice from her shoulder. He already seemed a bit worn out from this fight though.

Aqua braced herself for the blow, which bounced off of her pauldron, although she still winced a bit. Her last attack not having much effect, she sidestepped and quickly brought her mace right into Heno's midsection, releasing the magic stored in it into a shockwave that would be plenty to knock even a man as big as Heno off his feet.

OoC: Sleep.

 

[Demonjazz]

Heno having a somewhat slow, and methodical did not have time to react to the blow, and was launched backwards on the wooden deck.

 

[Silence]

After Robin had successfully sunk the ship, Speedy looked at him with big eyes for a long, long time.

When he had thought enough about this strange science, bystanders would see Speedy trying, quite unsuccessfully, to mimic some of the martial art stances Heno showed. The metal in his body seemed to let him fall over more than to do a pose right.

 

[Kirke]

You stop practising to watch Heno and Aqua spar, and you are surprised by how many hits they allow themselves to take. You consider showing them your own skills, but you know you'd probably just fall unconscious. Instead you decide to head over to the merc who gave Jane a sword and ask him if you could have one as well.

Robin noticed Speedy trying to join in on the posing, and had to stifle a chuckle.

 

[Chungus]

"Well, maybe you could have have a few of your snake friends watch the skies while you eat, maybe? That, or find a to eat place where birds wouldn't be very likely to get to you." Timea suggested. "I make a point of this, because I think gorging your food like that isn't giving the creature it came from the proper respect. Plus, from a more practical point, you'll be more likely to choke on something when stuffing things away like that."

As she flew, with her outstanding eyesight, Timea noted the sinking burning ship in the distance, but didn't speed up to investigate. She also saw the mercenary ship sailing away, and the people standing on the deck, but couldn't see anyone's features, vaguely being able to make out Aqua, at most.

Aqua unsummoned her mace and approached Heno, offering her hand to help him up.

"What's choking?" Hillary piped up, poking her head out of the pouch somewhat. She'd been pretty quiet once they had lifted up, opting to stay within the pouch more.

Once Hillary's head was out of the pouch, she looked around a moment. She'd initally look at Timea's wings, a bit anamored by the motion of them moving. Watching for the time she did, she somewhat imitating the flapping motion with her own arms for a short bit, but quickly stopped when she noticed in the distance the smoke cloud of the burned ship. "Timea I think there's something over there." She lifted one arm to point over in the direction of the ships.

[color=9f2089]"You guys are nerds."[/color] Cybil ribbed Robin and Zephy. Spotting Speedy trying to do some manner of martial arts pose, she ran over and crouched down, coming to a skidding halt a couple feet from Speedy. [color=9f2089]"Awww! Wookit da wittle fwoof!"[/color] She fawned.

Sibylla hummed to herself for a moment as she mulled over what Timea said. "Ah s'pose yer right."
Sibylla's snakes took a moment to regard the two boats far below them, but didn't find them terribly important and went back to appreciating the sensation of flying.

"...what's a nerd?" Robin asked.

OoC: Sorry, have to go for a while.

 

[Chungus]

"That's what I like to hear~" Timea responded to Sibylla happily. Looking straight ahead, she didn't notice Hillary mimicking her wing beatings, but looked down to Hillary when she announced she saw something. Seeing where Hillary pointed towards, Timea went back to looking straight ahead, and shook her head a little.

"The thing straight ahead? That's not important, don't worry about it", she answered nonchalantly. "When something is restricting your air way, that's choking. You see, when swallowing something wrong, it can end up in your windpipe, rather then your throat, which blocks it off. And if the obstruction isn't removed, you could die from it."

As she moved on, Timea eventually noticed the pool of blood drifting on the water from where the pirates were eating by the sharks, and let out a small "hmm" upon seeing it.

But it looks all puffy though? Hmm.' She thought upon hearing it wasn't anything important.

"Wow really?!" Hillary explained, honestly shocked something like that could happen. "I never thought you could get hurt from eating stuff like that before! Why don't you just push it out then?" Hillary asked after considering what possible ways one could fix such a problem.

 

[Chungus]

"Us flesh and blood creatures can't just stuff hands into our bodies. Doing something like that would leave a big hole, which would also kill us. Bodies like ours, although amazingly efficient, are ever so fragile", Timea answered, then let out a small dry chuckle. "I could dislodge something from my throat by simply making it wider, but that's besides the point."

 

[Zepherus14]

"Oh... I guess that makes sense." Hillary said, considering that yes these other people were different than she was. "Then, now do you get it out if you can't stick your hand in there to get it out?"

 

[Chungus]

"Cough, and hope it comes loose. If it doesn't, then that's the end of the line for you", Timea answered, not knowing about the Heimlich Manoeuvre. "Which is why it's important for people like us to not rush when eating."

With that said, Timea paused a bit longer, to indicate a change in subject, then asked, "So, girls, what do you think we should do once we get to the mainland, and why?" Timea had a plan in mind herself, but wanted to see what ideas Sibylla and Hillary had.

"We should... find about how to get home... because that's important." Hillary said after some thought. After some more consideration, Hillary tried to turn her head to see Timea's head a bit better. "What did those helpful people say for you to do Timea?"
