"A nerd's someone who's devoted to something and generally has no social life..." Zephy replied seeming nonplussed for once. "Not sure about you, but I don't fit into that second caveat." The catgirl chuckled as she looked toward Speedy and the others. "Geh... I could probably smell all their sweat from here."

Heno accepted Aqua's hand up, and bowed to her. "Thank you. Haven't fought some one as strong as you in quite some time."

"They didn't really tell me much, other then answer questions about the places we'd be going to and such. No one really had an idea on how to get back home." Timea answered Hillary. After hearing the two answers, Timea let out a soft "hmm", then stated, "And while yes, trying to find a way back home is important, focusing just on that would be a bad idea. We'll need to get familiar enough with the land so that we can survive off of it. That means finding three things; food sources, fresh water sources, and shelter. We'll start with the last on that list", she explained. "Now what do you two think we should look for when looking for shelter?"

"Oh..." Hillary said, sounding saddened by the news they didn't know how to get back yet. When questioned on what made a good place to live, Hillary thought for a moment before coming to a decision. "A house to live in with a bed to sleep in?"

Sibylla didn't much seem to care about putting returning home on a much lower priority. "Sumthin' shady without no nasty critters innit." Sibylla answered, expressing her low standards.

"Well, we won't be finding any of those. Those cost money, which we don't have. Plus, there isn't a bed in the world that could hold my weight", Timea said in response to Hillary. "No, we'll have to make due with what we can find. Think of it like camping! But more challenging."

At Sibylla's answer, Timea let out a small laugh. "Sibylla has the right idea! That's a good choice. But in addition, we'll want something that isn't too far away from food and water sources. Shelter won't do you much good if you drop down, exhausted when moving your resources to it." With that said, Timea paused a short moment, then added, "What I was thinking, was that we look for a nice cave. Those are dry, regulate heat and cold, and should protect from other animals. A downside could be the location, but we'll see about that little fact."

"Oh, ya the houses people had in that town looked different and stuff." Hillary agreed, conceding her idea might not work out so well.

"But don't you eat a lot Timea, where we going to find a place with that much food?"

"And I have never fought anyone besides other gems that could match your strength." Aqua said to Heno. "Still, you need to work on your defense, rather than just trusting your 'iron skin' to withstand every blow."

Near the harbor town of Palladein, a young woman with long, red-brown hair appeared. She wore rich, violet, clothing, far too rich for this part of the world. This, however, wasn't the most noticable thing about her.

She carried two equally expensive looking swords on the back, and the upper part of her face was concealed by a blindfold, made out of the same violet clothing she wore.

She didn't seem to mind, or rather, notice, that she was out of place. Instead, she walked straight into town, whistling a tune while doing so, searching for the next person she could ask for an inn.

"Well, I still have that shark buried on the island. That'll keep me well fed for another day, give or take. After that, though, I'll have to find good hunting grounds. I've heard large animals roam in the desert, so I'm not too worried about that, though," Timea answered. "But, what should we look for for you? With how you change into what you eat, having you eat meat is ever such the bad idea. What would you normally eat?" she questioned, then glanced down to her chest. "And what about you, Sibylla? Do you just eat meat, or do you need fruits and greenery, as well to stay healthy?"

By now, Timea flew over the sinking ship, which she briefly looked down on, then went back to looking straight ahead, occasionally casting a glance at the mercenary ship. Now clearly seeing everyone on the deck, Timea cocked her head, somewhat amused by the coincidence of her and the group heading in the same direction.

Being a 3 metre long Lanner falcon, and fast approaching, those on the ship with good vision could likely see Timea as well, if they happened to look up.

The mercenary would nod in response to Shara's question, and go below deck to get her a sword.

As the woman entered Palladein, the first thing she would notice, after the desert heat and sea breeze, would be the noise. Palladein, being a fairly large trading port, was full of merchants, sailors and caravaneers. The woman's unusual appearance drew the attention of many people, however most were too busy to stop and speak with her.

EMily enjoyed the sight of others sparring and teaching about their techniques. EMily didn't have much to offer in terms of physical training or casting spells. All of hers were a special gift from an unknown third party. They cannot be taught, but only understood.

She cycled through some diagnostics on herself that she usually liked a lot. Leaning on the railing and looking out onto the sea, she would allow herself to gather energy, making her glow a tad blue. Her eyes cycled through the entirety of the EM spectrum from violet to gamma rays and then back down again from infrared to radio waves. She would glow less as she would have to tune in on lower energy waves like radio.

Hearing Robin, Matilda turned to face him. "What is it?" she asked, not aware of EMily's glowing.

"Oh, don't be alarmed, Robin. I was glowing like this when I got struck by that lightning bolt from that ship. It happens when I'm gathering energy. Right now I'm using it to see..." She tilted her head to try and put the EM spectrum to words. "well... different kinds of light that are invisible to the eyes. Sort of like pitches of sounds that can't be heard by human ears."

"EMily is glowing." He told Matilda, then listened to her explanation. "Oh. You see anything out of the ordinary?"

"I could have easily taken several more hits like the one you gave me. Besides, that parry I used worked far better than dodging."

Inside the city, the woman would stop whistling. For a short time she seemed confused by the smell of the sea, then she decided to ignore it for now.

She felt the crowd of beating hearts around her and listened for a place of laughter, the smell of alcohol and maybe the sound of rolling dice.

Speedy stopped trying to mimic the combat techniques, instead he watched the group and asked:
"Are we there yet?"
