After some time, the holder on the bottom of the pot was finished, along with a stand to hold up the pot and roughly "aim" it at the pile of rocks. Yeager placed the gem inside. "There we are, all set! Now, before we begin, I would like to restate that this is not magic. To you, it will probably look like it, but I assure you that there is a difference between this technology and magic..." as he said this he waved his hand in front of the gem, and a form of glowing panel appeared in front of the gem. Yeager began to poke and type on the panel. "...furthermore, understand that this is quite frankly an inelegant bullshit mashup of components for prototyping purposes and real products created by me, given the time, money, and materials, will be of much higher quality and potency. Understand?" he asked as he stood up.

Hillary didn't join in on the bath time festivities, partially because it wouldn't really make her any cleaner, and also because she had other things on her mind. Occasionally she'd look back at Palledian before continuing to play with a sand dune.
Yeager grinned. "Wunderbar." he said as he tapped the gem with his foot. All in an instant the gem and pot glowed brightly before a red energy orb as wide as the mouth of the pot was fired out, striking the rocks and causing an explosion that sent burning rock particles blasting away from the site of the detonation. The pot itself never stood a chance, and disintegrated as soon as the energy orb left it. The bits of metal Yeager had welded to the pot were blackened, but otherwise undamaged. The gem was unharmed. A small crater remained at the impact site, and no substantial remains of the rocks themselves existed.

The guard flinched as the rocks exploded, covering his face with a hand. The Prince, however, simply stood back up and clapped. "Impressive. I assume a better-constructed version would not turn to dust after the first use?" he asked.

After calling out to Sibylla, Timea let herself drift upwards, and paddled around on her back for a moment, idly looking up at the sky. As she did so, Timea noticed Hillary staring at Palladein, and looked on a bit curiously. She continued looking to Hillary for a moment, noting the difference in body language. Letting out a "hmm", Timea swam back to the river bank, and walked back onto land.
"Hillary?" she called out. "Come here for a moment, please."

"You assume correctly. This is what I could do with an old pot and 10 minutes. Imagine what I can do. Do for you and your Empire, with access to workers, materials, and funding. This isn't even the end of my little demonstration, would you like to see more?" asked Yeager, his smile growing ever wider.
Hillary looked up as her name was called out. Raising to her full height from the sitting position she was in, she headed over to Timea to see what she wanted. "What is it Timea?"
"I say we gonto the forest. I don't like the idea of splitting the group. And I talked with Timea, she didn't seem evil."

Meeting Hillary half way, Timea crouched down to one knee, resting her forearm on the raised knee, and looking down to Hillary. "I've noticed a little storm is brewing in your head. What's on your mind, doll?" she questioned, speaking in a soft voice.
"We'll get to that. Remember, I don't have many of these, but here's something I can make with no need of any blastia at all. You should train your guards better, luckily I'm no assassin, they failed to find my weapon." said Yeager as he grabbed his strange briefcase, and in one quick motion, flicked it downwards. As his arm fell the briefcase unfolded into an ornate scythe, the handle of which appeared to be a gun barrel, though no one present would know this.
"Quite easy to produce really, if you have the know-how. I can make you tiny hidden blades for assassins. Halberds and spears that fold into swords for close combat. Bows that can form into twin blades. Name the situation, and I shall provide you a suitable weapon."
Anik did not see EMily curtsy, but wondered why she stood up.
"An evil person does usually not seem evil, that's pretty much the rule. I hope you're not that naive.
Well, it's probably fine if we don't cross her path again. A full-on war could be more dangerous.

"You weren't very nice to Anik. You yelled at her." Hillary answered back looking a bit unsure. "And my name is Hillary." Hillary added, seemingly unamused being called doll for the moment.
You speak up, saying that you've got sense enough to know that you shouldn't blindly trust what somebody else is saying, especially somebody who you don't know. You then look to Robin and tell him that you'd join him on the journey east, since it's probably the best shot to getting home.
