"So it's a good idea coming from the blin- from Anik, but not from me?" Aqua asked Cybil, then turned to face Anik.

"I would like to know more about this 'ancient evil'."

"So, we should head to Vesh?" Matilda walked over to the bar, and asked, "How can we get from here, to Vesh?"
The barkeeper thought for a few seconds, then said, "Well, the island is north. You'd need a boat to get there. Maybe you could get a ride on a ship."

"Well, I did obviously not see it. It seemed very heavy, but weirdly enough spoke with a soft, ordinary women's voice, not fitting the heavy steps it made when walking.

It was preparing dinner with some kind of stinking malicious creature and a seemingly naive girl made out of sand. At least currently."

Aqua thought this over for a moment. "Did you happen to learn thier names? And how did you know they were evil?"

"The old one was called "Timea" by the girl, I don't think that's her real name, though.

I have a similar ability as Matilda has. I can see into their hearts.
The girl was not evil, she seemed out of place. Her name was Hillary."

Jane was a little disappointed that the current plan was to avoid a war, but she stayed quiet as she finished up her meal

Homer recognized that with all the traveling they'd be doing, life would probably get rather difficult, so naturally he was all for the plan.

Sibylla nodded to Timea, taking note of her advice. She still did a pretty terrible job trying to cut the meat though.

Day

Sibylla groaned at the prospect of bathing, and her snakes did their best to mimic her sentiment of annoyance. "Do ah hafta? Seems like jus'a waste'a time seein' as how we're jus' in a big desert and ah'll get dirty agin real soon."

"Well your idea was that we should just kill everyone, so yes, it's a better idea coming from her." Cybil replied to Aqua. She giggled to herself as she went back to watching Speedy eat.

"Well, whatever they are, I'm sure it will sound like an interesting encounter should we find them. I wonder how a girl made of sand obtained the name 'Hillary'."

Yeager examined the pot. He had meant more of a pile of boulders, rather than a few pebbles, but with what he was planning to work with for this perhaps it was better to start small. "Ja, this will work. Now, if we could go to a secluded area , we can continue."

"Steady your hand a little. You're more sawing then you are cutting," Timea suggested, stiffening her wrist some more to correct Sibylla. "These are the motions you want", Timea then took hold of Sibylla's wrist again, and guided her through the motion, repeating it thrice, then letting Sibylla try on her own again.

With the fin being relatively small, it didn't take too long to cut it off, Timea catching it with her left hand before it hit the sand. "And here we go. See, nothing to it. It hasn't been a day, and you're already proving the people back in your world wrong!"

"Now, now. Let's have none of that", Timea responded to Sibylla's complain, wagging her finger some distance in front of the snakes. "You'll get sandy in no time once you get out of the water, yes, but like I said; there's a difference between being covered in sand, and in grime.

Or would you like to see what being a host to parasitic bugs is like? It's ever so nasty, you know? You see, you get this, sore lump where the fly has laid its egg, which swells as the bug grows under your skin, itching ever so much all the while. You can scratch all you want, but it'll only agitate the area further. It'll turn all red and start to ooze, and when the bug gets large enough, it'll wriggle out from under you, leaving a hole in its place. And you can have lots of these, too! Flies get all over the place, after all."
, Timea explained, pausing dramatically at the end to let the lovely picture she painted sink in.

"Ooor, you can keep yourself clean, which make you far less of a tasty target for flesh-eating bugs."

"Ah who cares 'bout them, they're a million acres away'r sumthin'." Sibylla replied, nonetheless still smiling a bit when Timea praised her.

Day

Sibylla shivered as Timea explained the process of being host to a parasite. "Ahlright, ahlright, ya'll made yer point. Ah'll do it."

Day - Palladein inn

You echo the concerns about getting involved in state diplomacy, and you are also quietly distrustful of this stranger dictating policy not only for you and the others, but entire nations. Your trust of Anik is not helped by her description of Timea, since you have met her and didn't see any evidence that she is evil.

Yeager would be led out of the room, and across the plaza to an opening in the crater wall. The opening, which had two guards stationed in front of it, led down to a cave, with the ground covered in grass and vines crawling up the walls. More openings in the walls were visible, around the edges of the underground field. "Will this be suitable?" Califorth asked.

After Shara stated her position, Matilda said, "That is a fair point. We could always split up, I guess."

"It's more proving to yourself that they're wrong. It's a nice feeling, isn't it?" Timea responded. She didn't know what an acre was, but got the gist of it. "It is, I see you smiling~!" she added more cheerfully, then knelt down.

"But, on to the next step. Cooking your meal. This is good to do, because cooked meat is digested quicker, so you should try to go for that, if you can. Of course, fire normally needs fuel, and there is nothing to burn around here. So I'll cook it for you, this time." After she spoke, it occurred to Timea she had no idea how to start a fire, never having needed to learn that. Committing this to memory, Timea blew a small jet of fire over the piece of meat. Once it was roasted, Timea held out the piece to Sibylla. "And here you go, a meal well-earned!"

After Sibylla took the meat, Timea licked off her own finger, then said, "Hm! When cooking in the open desert, be careful to keep your fire small. You don't need a big flame to cook something, and when the sun is beating down on you, having heat from fire nearby obviously won't help you."

"That's the spirit! Let's go, then." With that said, Timea began walking towards the river. Feeling she herself could do with a wash, too, after two days of cutting away at meat without one, she had her "clothes" sink into her body, and walked into the water, idly diving underwater once she was submerged up to her waist.

"As long as you don't mind anything here being damaged, then it will do fine." replied Yeager as he walked forward and dumped the rocks fairly far from the group, keeping one rock, and heading back with the pot. "This will take a little bit of time to set up." he said as he took some bands of metal from his briefcase and began to fashion a metal cradle for the gem on the underside of the pot.

Night

Sibylla's snakes hissed and recoiled at the sudden appearance of fire, which caused Sibylla to yelp and nearly fall over backwards. She would regain her composure once the fire was gone. "Ah already know ya gotta cook food b'fore eatin' it." She muttered, accepting the meat and eating it as she previously had, although slightly slower than before.

Day

Sibylla reluctantly slithered into the river after Timea, not bothering to remove her clothes. The further she went in was up to her chin, as her snakes made their disdain for getting submersed as obvious as they could.

"Oh, did I startle you? I'm ever so sorry, I should've given a warning!" Timea said sincerely as Sibylla regained her composure. "I'll be sure to do that, next time", she added, awkwardly shuffling her foot about.

Blowing a soft sigh, Timea stood up, and walked over to the tail end of the shark, beginning to slice it off at the base of the tail. "... Good on you for knowing that, though. And, that about ends the lesson, for today. There is still more to learn, of course. But I think it's enough for today, isn't it?"

Seeing Sibylla eat more slowly, Timea smiled to herself, not minding the otherwise lack of table manners.

A few moments after being underwater, Timea poke her head above the surface again, letting out a "phew!" and shaking her head. Looking to Sibylla, she called out, "That's deep enough! For bathing purposes, you don't need to go much deeper then your chest. Although it would make things easier on you if you took your dress off." Initially, Timea wasn't sure if she needed to inform Sibylla bathing was better done without any clothes, but thinking back on how Sibylla washed her hands, though it couldn't hurt.

The Prince, and the guard, both stood back as they watched Yeager setting up.
