Both the Prince and the guard took a step back, away from Yeager as he revealed his weapon. When he showed no sign of aggression, both of the Calibethans relaxed. "Incredible... such an increase to our versatility would be very useful." Califorth stated, as Yeager listed the various weapons he could make. "The bows and spears that become swords sound like the best options to me."

"Sorry, Hillary", Timea responded, giving a small smile, then looking more serious again. "I did", she confirmed, nodding once. "But, there was a very good reason why I did that. Do you know why, Hillary?"

 

[Slenn]

"Hmmmm.... then I and Magic Eye will join the party to go to the forest."

 

[Zepherus14]

Hillary simply shook her head 'no'.

 

[Furioso]

Yeager nodded, and flicked his wrist, causing his scythe to reform into a long rifle. He tossed the one rock he had kept into the air, and blasted it out of the sky with a laser shot from the rifle. "Like I said, these don't need a blastia to function, but they do make them a bit more fun. Do take note that my weapon did not fall apart. All this, and yet I still have more to show!' said Yeager, chuckling as with one more flick of the wrist his weapon folded back up to briefcase mode.

"Thank you." Robin said to Shara and EMily.

"Well, you see, she was nothing more then a bully. I'm sure you've seen the type? Those who act friendly, right up until the point where someone does something they don't like. Then, they become aggressive to a victim until they do what the bully wants again", Timea explained calmly, not breaking eye contact with Hillary, other then the occasional blink. "You've even heard her admit it; She said that if it's necessary, she'll "ruin the lives of others". And, she mentioned killing. Do you see, Hillary? Taking the life of another, not for food, but simply because they don't fit the bully's expectations."

After stating this, Timea was quiet for a moment, to let it all sink in, then leaned closer to Hillary, and asked, "Now, Hillary. What do you do with a bully like that? Pretend nothing is happening, and let them do what they want? Or firmly tell them off?"

 

[Silence]

"I will join you too!" Speedy said. "I want back to my girlfriend, and you are my favoritest persons here!"

Robin gave Speedy a little stroke on the head.

The two Calibethans continued watching Yeager's demonstrations, their minds obviously considering the applications of the technology they were being offered.

"In that case, you'll have to head east. Fastest way to do that is by the river, to Calibeth City. Then you keep going east over land, to the Fennwynd." the barkeeper explained.

You look over at the barkeeper and thank him for the info, then you look around at this group of rather extreme misfits and ask if anyone else has decided where to go.

Yeager took out another blastia from his case. It was much smaller than the one he had used with the pot before. "This one I don't really have a demonstration for. This is something that you embed into an article of clothing, or something on your body. With it, you will gain strength and over time, you will naturally learn spectacular abilities. What those abilities are, I cannot say. It depends entirely on the user. This is how one would use these for magic, if someone magically inclined were to use it then they would naturally learn magic. I would suggest not letting people like that have one of these if you want to keep magic outlawed. Nevertheless, few would dare challenge any wielding these."

Prince Califorth grinned as Yeager described the blastia's effect. "Very useful... but, what happens when the clothing this is embedded in is removed?" he asked.

Hillary had a long hard pause, considering all of what had been said, and comparing it to what Hillary had already been thinking about. With Timea exceptional vision she'd see her efforts somewhat blowing back in her face as Hillary's brow narrowed. "No, you talk to them to try and see why they do that!" Hillary exclaimed, crossing her arms with a huff. "Yelling at them like that doesn't make you any better, it's mean and you don't get to understand anything if you just scream at each other. Anik was nice and friendly, and then she said one thing you didn't like and then..." Hillary paused, catching her breath. "And then you bullied her!"

"Politics is just a bunch of talking. We'll go to the forest." Jane said, speaking for herself and Homer.

 

[Furioso]

"The blastia is attuned to you, putting it back on will restore its effects. I would suggest not having me put it somewhere that is easily removed." he repied.

Hearing Hillary's reaction, Timea was quiet for a moment, then blew a soft sigh. "I didn't bully her, I raised my voice, yes, but I didn't hit her, I didn't force my norms on her. In the end, I let her walk away, and that was the end of that", she responded closing her eyes for a moment, then shaking her head. "Wanting to work out problems you have by talking is nice. It's a admirable goal, but it doesn't always work. Differences can be too big to get over by just talking about them. In these times, you might make some leeway, only to be back where you started later."

"I see." Califorth replied. "Now, onto the issue of how you will provide this for us. What resources will you need, how many workers and finally, what are your fees?"

"We can tackle the diplomacy after the forest. It doesn't look like we're in too big of a rush. Besides, we could sell the information of the forest to someone."

"That's just because you scared her away. She was going to stay with us the night before you yelled at her, she had to go back to that noisy place again because of that." Hillary rebuked her. "My mom always said you should try regardless, because if you don't you'll just be even angrier when you see them again. And that doesn't help anyone!"
