Hoping it would not get too complicated, Anik walked ahead, talking to a random person whose heart she felt, but not seeing what the person was doing.

"Good morning. Me and my friends here would like a trip to Calibeth City. I can pay in silver."

The person looked up at Anik, then said, "We typically don't take travelers, but if you're willing to pay that's fine with me. Five silver each, or free transport if you row the barges. Can any of your friends handle that?"

 

[Furioso]

Yeager frowned. The crystals had interested him, but with no easy way to get one to study that interest was pointless now in his eyes. He went to leave, eager to get his voice back.

"I can pay or row." Robin piped up, though he secretly dreaded the labour.

[color=66CCFF]"No."[/color] Aqua answered Robin.

 

[Silence]

"Yes, I think we can row the barges." Anik said, then got back and told the others.
"It's a little bit expensive, but when we row the barges, we don't have to pay."

You tell Anik that you're used to rowing by now, so you'll do that.

[Chungus]

Not seeing any caves, Timea blew a sigh through her nostrils. Flapping her wings a couple of times to gain altitude, Timea turned around, and instead looked to the mountain walls to see if there were any spots, flat enough for a person to stand on. If she found any that were more then roughly a 100 metres above the ground, she would ignore them, thinking it wouldn't make for a very good home if Sibylla would wear herself out climbing to get there.

Timea would see some flat areas in the mountains, below 100m, where people could stand.

Calibeth City

Once Yeager had left the cave, he would be able to hear and produce sound again.

 

[Furioso]

Yeager was happy to have his voice back. "What an awful cave, stealing away one of my best features... if that place had a heart I would carve it out without a second thought!" said Yeager to no one in particular before going to explore the city for any more interesting landmarks.

"You could if we're going straight." Robin offered Matilda, then looked to Aqua. "How strong are you?"

With my abilities in water, if I could get in the water I could easily push the boat faster than rowing would move it. But that would look very strange to anyone watching, and is clearly magic."[/color]

"You could still row." Robin told Aqua.

 

[Silence]

"Well, I could row if we're going straight and you carve me these runes." Anik said, half-jokingly.

[Chungus]

Seeing the plateau on one of the mountains, Timea flew towards the one closest to her, descending, and touching down on it. With solid ground beneath her feet, Timea returned to her default form, and looked the plateau over more closely. After this, she walked over to the edge. She placed a hand above her eyes to shield them from the sun, she looked over the surrounding area, mainly looking for tracks in the desert sand.

Robin smiled at Aqua agreeing to help, then turned to Anik. "I wouldn't recommend it."

Mountains

Timea would see that the plateau was fairly small, only a couple of dozen metres across, and covered in rocks. As she looked out over the desert, she would be able to see very few tracks in the sand.

[color=006d5b]"Rivers aren't usually straight, though. Plus, I'm not that strong."[/color] Matilda pointed out.

 

[Chungus]

As she inspected the plateau, Timea though that she would've preferred a cave, but that the plateau would have to do, and made a mental note to clear out some of the rocks, later, to make some space.

Surveying the land, Timea focused on the tracks she saw more closely, judging how large they were, and where they were headed.
