Whitewood Forest

After quite a while of travelling, during which time the group members would likely take the chance to sleep, the boat stopped on a small patch of land. The group would be unable to see much of the sky, due to the canopy blocking the light. Around them were a large number of white-barked trees, with some space between their trunks.

Yeager and Ultron would also get across the swamp, somewhat faster than the group. However, they would come across a different piece of land, on the edge of the forest. From this position, they would still be able to see the sky overhead, as well as the trees.

The Gems went on the land, I guess.

Sibylla huffed as she replied, "Ahlright, ah'll jus' eat tha big one." Her snakes dropped all but the largest rabbit, which she moved to holding firmly in her hands.

Robin stepped off the boat, grateful to stretch his legs.

[color=FFCC33]"Soo... Why are we here, anyway?"[/color] Topaz asked the other people getting off the boat.

 

[Chungus]

"Hold on, hold on", Timea said as she elongated her arms to quickly grab two bunnies she judged were the oldest, before they could run off. "If you kill the parent, the young ones will be left without anyone to teach them the ways of the world. So what would happen is that they'd all die, regardless. In this case... it's better to take two little ones, then the adult", she explained.

She wasn't happy with the idea of killing juveniles, but wasn't going to force Sibylla to completely forgo a meal, and ultimately considered it the lesser of the two options.

"So, we've made it through"

, Ultron commented, it and its drones landing when the boat reached shore.

"Now what? There's nothing around that's not trees."

Sally stood forward, looking around the canopy.
"I haven't seen this many trees since Oasis- I can barely see the sky..." she said, looking around in sheer awe.
"Isn't this amazing, Robin?" she asked- Dazed beyond comprehension.

Robin nodded in agreement with Sally, looking up at the trees before turnign to Topaz. "These woods are elf territory. They might know how and why we were drawn into this world."

 

[Drakmorg]

Cybil had an easier time seeing in the dark forest than most would, due to having cat eyes. [color=9f2089]"I dunno. I kinda lost track of what we were doing to being with."[/color]

[color=9f2089]"So how do we go about finding these 'elves'?"[/color]

"That werks fer me too ah s'pose." Sibylla dropped the rabbit she was holding.

[color=FFCC33]"Oh. Well I don't really care about any of that."[/color] Topaz told Robin.

Matilda stepped off the boat after Sally. [color=006d5b]"Is there anything special about the trees?"[/color] she asked, not being able to see them herself. Mochán, meanwhile, had leapt off the boat and leapt up a tree almost immediately, sitting on a low branch.

[color=9f2089]"Well, they've got white bark and there's a lot of them. Otherwise they seem pretty normal."[/color] Cybil answered Matilda. [color=9f2089]"I'll see if anything else is up with them."[/color] She walked over to the nearest tree and attempted to climb up it herself.

Sally nodded, before pausing for a moment.
"Hold on, give me a moment..."
She pulls out a flashlight, and tossed it to Matilda, "They're TREES. With green all over them!" she said, surprised at what she asked, "You don't see those things with much frequency in the capital wasteland, or in the Vaults. I think, in my time there, I saw about twelve, maybe eight trees. This... This is something awesome- even if I can barely see it."

She looks over to Topaz, "Well, if I'm dragged here, that means that who knows who else could be. Heck, who knows, maybe we'll end up with the AntAgnonizer or some other pre-war supervillain trouncing round the place. So figuring out why, unless you want to deal with superhumans in Power Armor, is probably a good thing to do."

"There's bound to be a path through here..." Robin looked for a road, pointing it out if he found one.

OoC: Off for a bit.

"All right. I'll kill this one for you then give you it to try the killing technique, so the hare won't have to suffer if you get it wrong the first time", Timea stated, returning the length of her arms back to normal. Forming a hole in the palm of her right hand, Timea took a breath, then sapped away the energy of the bunny held therein, until its body became too weak to sustain itself, leading to death by cardiac arrest. After this, Timea silently paid her respect, and held out the bunny to Sibylla.

"Okay, so, what you want to do is firmly take hold of the back of the neck, and head, ideally just under the jaw. Then, forcefully twist the body and head in different directions. If you hear a--" she began to explain, then made a popping noise with her mouth. "--That's when you know you've done it right. The body might spasm for a moment or two, but if you hear the noise, you'll know it's dead."

Matilda made no motion to catch the flashlight, instead saying [color=006d5b]"Ow. Tell me when you're going to toss me stuff."[/color] after it hit her. [color=006d5b]"Or, better yet, don't toss me stuff. I'm not great at catching things."[/color] She pointed at her milky white, pupil-less eyes.

Cybil would have a fairly easy time climbing up the tree, and would be able to poke her head through the canopy high enough to get a good view of the surrounding area. The tree she had chosen to climb would be fairly normal. In the distance to the north and slightly to the east, however, she would see a tree rising up high above all the others. She would spot a few other, similar, trees, further east and in the south and north.

Robin would be able to spot a small path, heading in the direction of the nearest enormous tree, to the north-east.

 

[Kirke]

In the distance, perhaps forty to fifty metres away, a bunny looked at Timea and Sibylla. It was mainly white on the front half, and more naturally coloured on the rear. It was also rather fat, with a large double chin. It seemed unhappy at the killing of it's kin, and almost looked like it was plotting revenge.

Sibylla did as Timea instructed without even a little hesitation, surprisingly managing to get this of all things right the first time. "Lahk that?" She asked afterwards, wanting to confirm whether she had succeeded or not.

Cybil marveled at the sight of the gigantic trees for a moment before sticking her head back under the canopy. [color=9f2089]"Hey guys! I saw some super big trees! Like, I couldn't even see the top of 'em because it went past the clouds huge! Let's go check it out!"[/color] Bot actually wanting to climb down from the tree, she went about hopping from branch to branch, moving towards the North-Easterly tree.

Robin followed Cybil from the ground, though was slowed down somewhat by having to go along the path rather than as the crow flies.

Sally just stood awestruck at the information Cybil just told her, "Holy crap. That's amazing!" she shouted, "It's just... Holy shit!" she shouted, trying her best to follow Cybil with Robin. She waves to Robin as she fairly easily runs past him. "Tell me, you have forest like this in your world? I don't!" she shouted, sounding intoxicated on joy, running backwards from Robin.
