"After that, we all just stayed indoors. There was more fighting after that, and then the sun went out and something crashed into the palace." another continued.
"It was terrifying."

Speedy would see a number of stone buildings on the other side of the wall, around a courtyard. In the yard, he might see archery targets and training dummies, some of which were in use.

Yeager nodded as the group told him the tale. "That all does sound very terrifying. As some of you may be aware. People from other worlds have been appearing here, including myself. Some with terrifying powers beyond anything this vorld has seen, and some of them intend to do things that could cause irreparable damage. I believe that vhatever happened to the sun is a result of this. That is why I gathered you all here. I plan to create a force, that when the time comes, can stand up to the monsters that now roam your Empire. I can help give you the ability to defend your land. Of course, you'll be payed well too."

Speedy would find himself in a library-like building, on a desk. Next to him, was a Calibethan woman with her hair tied up in a bun, writing in a book. Rather than a candle or a lantern illuminating her work, she had a ball of fire hovering by her head. Speedy would notice that her eyes were emitting a white glow.

"Isn't that what the military is for?" one of the civilians asked Yeager.

"Creatures don't eat their own kind, unless very desperate, no.", Timea answered, placing minor emphasis on "own kind". She then paused for a moment, thinking on how Sibylla was human, and if her eating people was actual cannibalism because of it. Coming to the conclusion it probably was, although slightly wierded out by this, Timea wasn't against it. "Usually.", she added as an afterthought, not long after speaking. "But, I'm not human"
Opening her mouth, she was about to say more, when she picked up on the scent of blood coming from the farmhouses. Stopping, Timea looked towards them. When Sibylla began walking toward the farmhouses, Timea began following, asking, "Do you smell it too, Sibylla?"

Yeager shook his head. "A general military can't do this job. The logistics of moving and feeding an army. Of training an army. Receiving orders, all of that, it slows down the process. Let's not forget, they still have to deal with your normal enemies, they don't have time to keep the peace, maintain the Empire, and deal with this new threat. What I'm talking about is a guild. We had these in my vorld, companies that specialized in specific skills that could be called upon to use those skills to get a job done. Now, back home the guilds were independent and had no attachment to a nation, but in this case it would be for the good of the Empire."

As Sibylla and Timea approached one of the farmhouses, they would find the door slightly open. Through one of the windows, illuminated by a lit fireplace, they would see a Calibethan man and woman, whose throats had been torn out.
