Sally nodded to anik. "Goodbye."
She looked robin in the eye, "I'll try my damn best. But I doubt I can do it with you guys- I'll just slow you down. I'm leaving." she said, as she got up. "I'm going. I'm going to see if I can fix anything out there, but as it is, I feel like I've only made things worse for you all, and that I'll only make things worse. So I figure a goodbye is in order. Goodbye, Robin." she said. She gave him a rapid peck on the cheek, before just bolting from there as fast as her newly repaired legs could god damn carry her, into the Desert.

Robin gave Sally a wave goodbye, then turned back to the others, picking Matilda's gun up and handing it back to her.

Robin and Sally reached Support Level C.

Robin might notice that the bullet was in the chamber closest to the handle, rather than the barrel, though he probably wouldn't understand what that meant. "Do you have any actual evidence connecting them to the sun falling?" the guard asked.

"We leave. I think we've found all we can here. Head north, and see if we spot anything along the way." Robin proposed, noting the bullet's position and guessing what it meant.

Ultron shook its head.

"No. But I have a witness - Yeager - that can confirm they're highly dangerous."

"We'll be sure to look into it." the guard stated, in a way which implied he probably wasn't going to look into it.

"You'd get to know people better if you did, they can be really friendly and stuff when you try." Hillary pouted, feeling Sybilla wasn't really trying at all and was more just being a grumpy gus.

Once Sybilla and Timea were back on track, Hillary met them on the path before continuing along. "Then how is it wrong that a um, Timea can't eat another Timea. Why is that a problem, but then another person that can talk to you, give you hugs and make sure you're happy isn't the same. If they gotta eat too then fine, but you can both live together without having to eat each other, then you'll all be happy. Otherwise if ya eat one person, then they'd wanna eat one, and then another and another, and then there's no more persons and you're all alone. And I don't like that! Being alone sucks, I don't like it one bit!"

The people of Vala might, very infrequently, feel some slight vibrations, as if there was a teeny tiny earthquake.

, was all that Ultron said in response, picking up on the tone of the guard, and expecting nothing to come from its charges. With the small amount of time is had been away, it didn't expect its message to have been delivered to command, and so, having nothing left to talk about, it turned around, and walked away, beginning to head northwards.

Irritated, it didn't feel like being carried by its drones - partially as would hammer home how dependant it had become on others with its lacking resources - and instead continued on on foot.

Western desert - 13:42 PM​

At Hillary's answer, Timea blew a lengthy sigh, and shook her head. "Avoiding that is easy enough. If you notice the numbers in one type of creature dropping significantly, you move on to another source. ...If it's over-predation you're worried about, you're talking to the wrong person." It looked like Timea was going to say more for a moment, her mouth slightly open, but no words came out. "More over, you can't put predators and prey in one area, and expect them to get along. That's not how the world works. It can work on a small scale, maybe. But in the grand scheme of things? No. There doesn't even need to be any predation on the prey in question for this scenario to fall apart."

Topaz would find tracks at both the northern and western gate. At the northern gate, the strange tracks went into a building where a dead man who showed signs of extensive torture could be found. At the western gate there were both the strange tracks from Timea, Hillary and Sibylla which followed the road west and a pair identical to the tracks found by the northern gate. These tracks came from the north, crossing the road and continuing into the desert to the south.

Desert to the south
After reaching a fair distance out into the desert, the Terminator stopped to re-evaluate its objectives. It had been sent with the expectation that the world it would enter would be at least on a comparable technology level, which it could then infiltrate. With the former condition proving to be false, and the latter now impossible, the Terminator needed a new plan. It now knew of way to complete its objective, and after evaluating the risks involved it turned east and headed off at a jog.

"That's not how the world works? The sun fell down and made a big boom! When did that ever happen in your world?! But I'm not even talking about prediters or prey stuff, I'm talking about peoples!" Hillary protested, throwing her arms to her sides and standing up on her toes more. "You keep asking peoples questions in cities and stuff, and the way you're acting right now would make no one wanna help you!" Hillary stopped, placing her brass shiny pipe on the ground under her foot to free her hands.

"Why yes hello, my name is Timea, and I would like to ask you some questions?" Hillary said, attempting to mimic Timea's speaking patterns although not overly well at doing so.

"Okay, sure, what do you wanna know?" Hillary said, having her left hand move like someone was talking.

"Oh actually hold on, I'm hungry." Hillary said as Timea, before turning her head to her right hand and biting down on it quite hard. The sound of tearing metal range out as Hillary quite literally bit straight through her right hand, and took another couple bites for good measure, leaving her right hand nearly gone to the wrist. True to her word, this didn't actually seem to harm her. She didn't even seem to need to swallow as she turned back to the left hand. "So about those questions?"

Hillary then looked back up to Timea. "Now mom is always reminding me to think about other people and stuff, and I might not be good at that." Hillary said, before raising both hands to Timea. "But I'm sure he's not ever going to talk to you, ever!" Waving her stump of a hand at Timea. "Or is that not how the world works?" Hillary crossed her arms.

 

[Silence]

Calibeth City - afternoon/night

After staying alone for a while, and then [insert EMily relaying information about meeting in Palladein tomorrow], Anik wandered off into the direction of Palladein. She walked slowly, so as to not lose direction, taking in every possible sound and smell, so as to not get surprised by anything, and so as to maybe find hints as to what had happened to Calibeth City.

Speedy read quite a lot of the book, before saying: "This is kind of long-winded. Do you have a book about technology?"

Continuing on, Timea was about to respond, she held her silence and stopped moving once she heard Hillary no longer walking. Turning around, Timea looked down to Hillary, watching the display with some blankness to her face. That was, until Hillary bit down on her hand. With widened eyes, Timea exclaimed, "What are you--?!" but cut herself off as Hillary continued the display. Timea stared at Hillary's stump, a disturbed, until Hillary finished.

Timea was quiet for some time, forming sentences in her mind that didn't come together in a way that was satisfactory. She felt she could make an adequate rebuttal, but, in her current state of mind, failed to form the right words. Eventually, she shook her head, and said, "Is this where we're going? Getting angry isn't going to make us agree." Closing her eyes, Timea rubbed her temple with her free hand. "I know that's exactly what I did early today, but... don't make the same mistake.

We're not done with this argument, but I'm going to leave it here, for today. A lot has happened lately, and I don't have the energy to keep going like this."

With that said, Timea turned back around, and continued walking.

Hillary didn't say anything really at first, kinda annoyed that Timea didn't just agree with her, Timea was at least right getting angry wasn't going to make things any better. She kinda wished she hadn't eat her hand if this was going to be the result though, since it would still take some time for it to reform. Looking at it now, the teeth marks were already starting to fill back in.

"Alright... sorry." Hillary lamented, sorry to get on Timea's nerves, but also sorry for her hand. She picked up the pipe with her still useful hand and continued following.

Both Jane and Homer seemed eager to leave the city, if it could be called that.

Robin noticed Anik, Jane and Homer coming back to the group as they headed north. "I think we should get out of here." he told the trio.

"I agree. This place seems to be cursed." Anik answered Robin.

"Can you sense something here?" Robin asked Anik.

Both Homer and Jane muttered quiet agreements. Homer was struggling to lug around all the metal he had collected.

 

[Silence]

"What do you mean? I can only sense the group here, and earlier the group of Timea. I could not sense the ... machines, you spoke to earlier.

This place seems dead. Which actually is odd, there should have been at least a few survivors here." Anik said, thinking about her words as she spoke.
