Though Yeager would be unaware of this, the ritual book contained more details on the rituals that Robin's book claimed were related to Faotar, in particular mentioning prayers as well as carving symbols into one's own body. It also mentioned a ritual for enhancing the senses, which involved the removal of the person's eyes.

Yeager briefly considered testing some of the rituals on his mooks but decided against it for now. He kept reading this book and other books looking for anything about the stone basin in the other room.

After coming to a conclusion, it replied; "Agreed. Infiltration subroutine temporarily disabled." It then grabbed at the edge of the cloth covering it's face and pulled it down.

Yeager would see that the altar was referred to in the book, primarily as the place where rituals took place. It was mentioned that the basin section was used to collect blood, and that that blood would be used in an ignition ritual to make the church's spire start burning to emit light. Yeager would not remember seeing any such spire, and would likely deduce that it had fallen down.

The caravaneer gave the group a quick reminder on how to act, essentially just telling them not to start swinging unless they were sure the caravan was in danger, and to keep their guard up to see if anyone was approaching the caravan.

Yeager looked through the books to try and see if the basin itself was unique, how much blood was needed, and if it was needed for the Faotar type rituals. As he read he called for one of his mooks to come inside.

After rejoining with Hillary, Timea considered it would be impolite to leave without saying anything. Not seeing anyone in the main hall, Timea approached the the door to the office. If there was no answer, she would sniff the air to check if anyone was in the temple.

Hearing the Terminator's unmodified voice, the suspicions it had on the Terminator's identity upon, raised by the Terminator's eyes, confirmed.

"Hm. I thought you might be the one from the swamp"

, it said casually, then shrugged.

"Well, no hard feelings. But let me ask the question I asked, then: What's your name?"

Alain paid close attention, not wanting to get fired from the first job he ever held.

None of the Faotar-type rituals needed blood, though all of them were based on some form of mutilation. There was also no mention of specific measurements, though Yeager might recall Ysha only needing to cut the palm of his hand to ignite his dagger. The book also said nothing that indicated uniqueness about the altar.

Eina opened the door, and smiled when she saw Timea up and about. "Feeling better now?" she asked.

"I'm not sure. They might have more information on the sun, but we should try and do this as fast as possible. What do you think?" He asked the rest of the group.

 

[Furioso]

Wondering if the ritual would work with no tower, Yeager asked his mook to cut his arm and bleed into the basin. Taking a small knife from his robe, the mook did as commanded. Yeager provided instructions from the books and his witnessing of the priest in Palladein for how to conduct the ritual. The mooks calibethian faith remained intact and wasn't altered by Yeagers fun cave camp vacation.

, Ultron commented, bringing its left arm up to the side of its head, metallic screeching noises sounding as the bladed edge of the shield scraped over it.

"If you don't have a more conventional name, how about... Chungus?"

Yeager's attempt to perform the ritual, somewhat unsurprisingly, failed to do much other than make a basinful of blood.

"Right now." the man replied, as the caravan started moving north. Rebecca began walking alongside it, not really paying attention to her surroundings.

"He's still resting, but otherwise he seems fine." Eina replied.

Yeager was annoyed, but he didn't really expect much. Yeager kept the old ritual book, carrying it out with him as he left, resuming his trip north. His mooks followed.

"Let's hope he's back on his feet, come tomorrow, yes?" Timea commented, then paused. "Ah, there was something I wanted to ask. Earlier in the evening, I noticed the water from the river between here and Calibeth City had completely dried up, and recently. Is that... normal, or do you think it's connected to the recent events?"

West Northern Road

Yeager's journey north would be fairly uneventful, the road passing through a few other farming villages. Further up the road, after a few hours of walking, Yeager would come across a fork in the road, with one road going north and another going northeast.

"I think that's related to what happened with the sun. The stories mention that there was no river there before Calibeth took mortal form." Eina replied. "Just like the crater, and the farmland in Calibeth City."

Yeager and co headed north.

You move along the caravan as you look around to survey what you will be guarding. Then, you ask Rebecca to her side and Alain to keep an eye on the other side. Finally you keep plug the final hole by walking up to the front of the caravan. From there you have a 180 degree view on the area ahead, and you keep a sharp lookout for anything moving.
