Utarra Area - Day 5 - 09:28

"Hmm. Can you do this?" Anik said, and made the clicking noises, hoping Sibylla would pick up how she did them from hearing alone.

Makerra was silent as she thought of an answer to Timea's question, before the sound of screaming interrupted her train of thought. "That sounded like it came from the north." she said.

Robin would see a few books lying around the shrine, as well as some priests.

Sibylla would still be unable to successfully reproduce what Anik was doing with the instruction she was given.

Beak was siting outside getting increasingly worried about a situation. "What are we going to do. Beak said as he cried by himself

a sudden pain came to his stomach "YOU CAN KILL THEM ALL!" Beak suddenly heard in his head.

"What was that? Beak ask as he looked around.

Utarra - Day 5 - 09:29

"I'll have to practice", Timea idly commented as she walked, wondering if there wasn't some kind of trick to it she and Sibylla were missing. "Either way, we should be almost there, if I interpreted those directions right."

Her hearing mediocre, Timea didn't hear, but trusted Anik's word. When Makerra indicated the direction, Timea looked towards it, looking the area over. "A traveller being attacked, maybe?" she mused aloud.

"It was more than one person. ... Should we do something about this? I rather not get involved." Anik said, doubting her own judgement about these things.

That's unlikely. There's no road to the north, meaning no travelers. Just a path leading up to the shrine."

"What deity do you want to know about?" the priest asked.

"It's better to leave it to those trained to deal with attacks, Anik", Timea answered Anik after some consideration, looking away from the northern area, back down to her. She did feel some concern for those at the whoever might have been attacked, but didn't feel like she had to go out of her way to do the guards' jobs.

"You are right." Anik said, and left it at that, even though she had a concerned look on her face.
"Well, was there a famous sorcerer then?" she asked the priestess, wanting to continue where Timea and her had left off.

After, she tried creating another water glove, and felt if it behaved like she imagined it, or if it had a more loose form around her hand.

"Hmm... probably the most well-known sorcerer would be Pevetta Polatta'Bri Ketra'Rah." the healer replied, once Anik put her mind back on track. "The first sorcerer of the Ketra'Rah, in the north, and a natural sorcerer at that. He spent decades studying, spending his life in isolation on the glaciers because his flames might burn down the wooden buildings of the villages."

Anik would find that the water glove would be quite close to how she imagined it.

"Well, I've never heard of any goddesses like that. Sorry." the priest replied.

At Makerra's answer, Timea let out a contemplative "hmm", noting the ice in the north came up as a significant point again. She was silent in thought for a moment, then looked back to Makerra. "Okay. And now for the very last question I have: I had been told humans are looked down upon, or even hated on Vesh. But my bodyguard hasn't been treated with any apparent disdain, even at the temple. So, is it only here is the south were the people are more accepting, or has this account simply been greatly exaggerated?" she questioned, idly motioning over to Anik when mentioning her.

Anik now just wore the water glove, wondering how long she would be able to do so.

At Timea's question, she listened up, having wondered about this herself, but not having thought of asking about it.

"Utarra isn't as bad, since it's a port that gets ships from the north of the Calibethan Empire regularly. But this region, Utarra aside, is probably the worst. Our clan's leader isn't too fond of humans." Makerra then sniffed Anik for a few moments, before stating, "Also, none of you smell like Calibethans. So, that's probably a factor."

[hr]

Veketta

"Still no." the priest replied.

Realizing her presence was just an irritation to everyone inside, Sibylla left the Healer's Shack and stood around outside. She practiced making noises by clicking her tongue, utterly failing to get even the basic concept down and just licked the roof of her mouth until Timea and Anik were finished and left.

"I see. So good times still wait ahead", Timea responded jokingly. "Well, I've got nothing further. Thank you for your time, madam. Have a nice day." With this said, Timea turned around, and began walking away.

"Let's go, everyone."

Anik did not follow directly. Instead, she asked the healer: "Do you have some kind of small plate or board here, that I could take with me?"

[hr]

After that was sorted, she bowed and thanked the healer, and went outside, clicking.

Outside, she stopped for a moment, thinking about what to do, and heard Sibylla making weird noises, but no clicks, with her mouth. "Hmm. Sibylla, if you want to do this, you need to first press the tongue at the roof of your mouth, but not move it there.

Then, you have to push it down as fast as you can.

Do you get it?"
