Robin would see that the ship was quite long but not very high, with three masts. The crew was, primarily, made up of Kaisiri people. However, there were a few sailors who, like the man on the docks, had animal traits. Those that weren't loading supplies were sitting, sharpening blades.

"Do you not know about alcohol, stone man? Wine is very popular across entire Jade Empire. Heno saw that he obviously didn't understand. "... It's a poison that doesn't kill you right away. Makes you act all stupid. I never got it either."

Robin noticed the animal people, which reassured him that the sailors would at least be welcoming of others, and the swords some of the men were making.

Aqua seemed completely perplexed by Heno's explanation. "You... you poison yourselves so you can be even more stupid? You humans baffle me."

"I wanna try it, actually."

You comment idly that you've had some great times when drunk, particularly on the planet New Ireland. As you remember the days you spent there, you crack a small smile and resolve to go back there as soon as you can.

"Can you even get drunk?" Robin asked Topaz.

[Silence]

Speedy approached the trustworthy ship captain (?) and asked him where the boat was headed. And how fast it was.

"Fair enough."

Homer tried to pester the animal crew members, asking them why they were all so hairy. His words would still be hard to understand.

Jane was keeping an eye on him from a distance.

You walk over to Homer and slap him over the head, then tell him to sit down before he gets himself thrown off the ship.

The slap sends Homer falling into his stomach. He grumbles about how hard the ground is.

One of the furred crewmen stared at Homer like he was an idiot, after mentally translating his question from 'drunk guy'. "We're Vesh'Rah." he replied.

The man Speedy was talking to, who wasn't the captain, looked down at him in confusion. "Uh... did this rat just ask where we're going?" the man asked.

Homer rolled around on the ground, struggling to pronounce the word he had just been told.

Robin looked at Homer, glad he hadn't had what the soldier had.

"Hamster does that sometime." Heno said to his previous combatant. He turned his attention towards the captain of the ship. "So what we actually doing on ship?

 

[Silence]

"I'm not a rat, I'm a hamster! *sigh* And yes, I did ask where we're going. And how fast it is. Also: Are there monsters at sea?"

"We're going out to sea to hunt pirates." the man replied, looking down at Speedy. "And there are no monster at see, that I know of."

The captain looked over the group Heno had brought with him, then said, "Well, what skills do you and your friends have?"
