"Topaz and I almost certainly more skills and abilities than you humans and Vesh'Rah." Aqua answered the captain. "What are these "Pirates", anyway? Why are we hunting them?"

"Well, if'n ya'll'r promisin', fahne." Sibylla caved to Timea's request, uncrossing her arms to let them hang back at her sides.

[color=9f2089]"Got a feeling you might be right."[/color] The brunette catgirl replied to her companion, making to follow suit.

 

[Chungus]

"I promise~" Timea said in turn, with a light sing-song voice. She then looked to the two hunters, and when she found they weren't looking towards her, pouted her lips and squirted a small amount of water onto Sibylla's face from her mouth, the water oddly containing no saliva. The squirt lasted only for a brief moment, after which Timea watched if Sibylla had anything of a phobic reaction to it.

"Pirates are criminals that attack boats and other transports." Robin told Aqua.

"What the magic man said. We're hunting them because we got paid to hunt them." the captain explained.

"These pirates are humans, then? Who prey on other humans? This will be even easier than I thought."

"Some of them will be Kaisiri, Calibethan and Vesh'Rah. It won't be just humans." the captain replied. "It's mostly because they can't get money any other way. Or don't want to, at least."

Topaz crouched next to Homer and started poking him on the side of his head.

"I don't care why they do it. If they are a danger to others, they must be removed." Aqua said. "Do Kaisiri, Calibethans, or Vesh'Rah have any abilities that humans don't? I want to know exactly what I'll be up against."

One of the Vesh'Rah crew members held out his hand and indicated the metal ring he had around one finger. "If you see someone that looks like me, wearing one of these, he's got magic."
A Kaisiri man then said, "Some Calibethans and Kaisiri can do magic too, but we don't need rings like the Vesh'Rah. And some of them will have miracles."

"What kind of magic? And what do you mean by 'miracles'?"

"Depends on the person." the Vesh'Rah stated.

"Miracles are mortals accessing the power of the gods."

"Maybe this won't be as easy as I anticipated. I'll be careful. Thank you."

"Magic? What kind? Robin asked.

Homer was now sleep. Jane walked over and picked him up.

"Is he dead?" Topaz asked Jane.

"No. But if he barfs in on me I'll kill him myself." Jane replied.

"Like I said, it depends on the person." the Vesh'Rah sailor stated.

Sibylla made several different disgusted noises as Timea spat water in her face. The snakes also made it very obvious they didn't appreciate it either. "Ugh, whut wuz that fer?" She groaned as she wiped as much water off her face as she could.

 

[Chungus]

"Well, like I said, I wanted to see if you'd react to water as described in the story. It's not the case, so I suppose that myth is debunked!" Timea said fairly happily, glad with the thoughts of skipping over the step of trying to get a talisman. "Don't worry, though, it was just that; normal water." she added, not oblivious to Sibylla's displeasure at what just happened. "But you don't like water much at all, do you?" she questioned a short moment later.
