Rebecca opened the door and stepped aside when she saw Anik. [color=446ccf]"Come in."[/color] she said, moving back to her desk and sitting down.

"Thanks." Anik said and stepped inside. "I have brought someone with me as well - you might know her." she added, gesturing behind herself.

She walked over to the bed and seated herself there.

[color=446ccf]"Yeah, I know her. What's this about?"[/color] Rebecca asked. She eyed Shara cautiously, not sure how she would react to the weapon designs sitting on Rebecca's desk. Upon noting the very different appearance Shara now had, Rebecca began looking at Shara with her true sight, her gaze now curious as well as wary.

You step forward, giving a small wave to Rebecca as you say hello.

Rebecca true sight would see that Shara's soul, which she had not observed before, wasn't quite ordinary. It was a human soul, but it held fragments or hints of something far greater. However, Quan Shi's spell overshadowed that in its influence. The spell made a slave out of Shara, binding her to the sorcerer's will. It also pushed her personality to be darker, more hateful and dissatisfied with the world around her.

"She's ... different, somehow. Changed by a sorcerer and made his slave. But we nearly know nothing about this. Do you think you could help?" Anik said, shifting uncomfortably on the bed. "I feel better now, I wanted to ask you a few more questions ... but then Timea told me about Shara - I met her far earlier, and I think I am partly responsible for what happened to her."

[color=446ccf]"I can see that... Honestly, though, you need an exorcist. Uh... okay, so let me explain this in layman's terms. Are you two familiar with the concept of possession? Demonic, ghostly, whatever?"[/color] Rebecca said, as her eye returned to normal. She continued staring at Shara, however, wondering what had happened to her body.

A portal suddenly appeared in Rebecca's room, Quan Chi stepping through. He wanted to wait for longer, but discussing a cure with a mage was too big for him to ignore. "Shara," he ordered, "come with me."

 

[Silence]

Femesh Daer - Day 10 - 15:29

Now, with her senses more in check, Anik tried to read the hearts of all in the room as well, mostly trying to concentrate on Shara's, still without much success.

"You think ... she has a demon inside her?" Anik said, frowning. "Her heart ... I can nearly not sense it anymore. If it was possession, wouldn't I sense her heart and the heart of a ghost or demon as well? Or ... is this some other kind of possession?"

Suddenly interrupted by another heart appearing, and the voice of Quan Chi, which she had heard before, when Timea had imitated it, Anik jumped up from the bed, but was slightly disorientated.

"Stop!" she called out. "Don't do it, Shara!"

You try to resist, but you know it is impossible as your legs begin to move without asking you first. You glance over at Anik and quietly say; [color=0066cc]"I'm sorry."[/color] You then glare at Quan Chi as you close on the portal.

Rebecca glanced at Quan Chi, and picked up her hand fan. Concealing her face with it, she said to him, [color=446ccf]"Before you leave, sorcerer, I must ask; however did you bind the spirit of a living mortal? You aren't possessing her, so how, then?"[/color] As she spoke, Rebecca stood up and approached Quan Chi, slowly. Quan Chi would likely notice that Rebecca was moving away from her handgun.

As Quan Chi appeared in the room long blades extended from the sleeves of the Red Eyes coats, and they took ready positions to lunge, but Rebecca's diplomatic approach made them pause, not wanting to catch her in the crossfire.

Quan Chi ignored Shara's glare, focusing on Rebecca. He stepped back a bit, ready to jump into the portal if things went south. "Curious are we? Come and I shall show you."

Femesh Daer - Day 10 - 15:30

Not knowing what Rebecca was planning, but thinking her patience had a meaning, Anik orientated herself, also clicking, but mostly due to the sounds the different individuals made. She concentrated on Quan Chi, and slowly approached him as well, planning to knock him out with a fist if she was close enough.

"I think he wants to set up another trap." she said to Rebecca without addressing her directly.

[color=446ccf]"If you're planning on binding my spirit when I go through there, you could stand to be more subtle. If not, I see no reason for you not to explain here."[/color] Rebecca replied. When she noticed the Red Eyes preparing to fight, Rebecca moved away from Quan Chi to a position where she wouldn't be in the Red Eyes' way. [color=446ccf]"I promise that, while you're in this room, neither I, nor Anik, nor Yeager's men will kill you. Harm you, possibly, but I will not let them kill you."[/color]

The Red Eyes continued to wait.

Now close enough, Anik tried to knock out Quan Chi with an uppercut, preparing to jump away if something went amiss.

Quan Chi was about to scoff at the offer when Anik punched him in the face, snapping his head back. He stumbled back a bit, then glared at the blind woman. "You will pay for that soon, sightless one." he growled, heading back through the portal to his camp and shutting it behind him.

You walk across the snow, feeling utterly crushed once more. After simply stumbling about for a minute, you sit down on the spot.
