Mathan Daer Area - Day 10 - 24:51​

Clicking, Anik would find the lower body was build more like a feline, rather than a lizard, but had a long and thick tail, more shaped like a crocodile's. The build was also quite muscular; especially on the torso.

Feeling over the lower body, Anik would find the scales were impossibly hard, and quite rough, having a ribbed texture to them. Said ribs formed circles, being small and smaller, the further the came to the centre of the scale. The scales were mostly plated, like a those on an armadillo lizard, and had short backwards and sidewards-facing spines along the back and tail. The largest scales were on the chest, and were more pentagon-shaped, also lacking the spines. Similar scales ran alongside the underside of the tail, pointing towards such scales being on the stomach, as well.

At the joints, were much smaller, circular scales, necessary for mobility. The feet were broad, with short fingers, and an even smaller thumb. It and the fingers ended in talons, which Timea had dulled, so Anik couldn't cut herself.

Timea would raise a leg while Anik was feeling the feet, allowing her to feel the undersides of which. This, she would feel, was even rougher the rest of the scales, enough so that she could graze the tips of her fingers, if she felt from the back of the foot, towards the fingers, and wasn't careful.

Were normally the neck would be, was the upper body, which had the soft texture of the dress, starkly contrasting the rest.

Timea stood by as Anik examined her body, occasionally turning her head to look at her. She felt awkward being stroked, but didn't mind, over all. "That's right", Timea answered once Anik asked her question, continuing to speak in a hushed tone, also. "With my actual size, you might just reach to the ankle of my foreleg. I also actually have more than one head."

"It's ... impressive. Thank you for letting me feel that." Anik said, not knowing what else she could say. "But ... your size ... that's even more impressive. Wow." she added, kind of intimidated. "More heads? Like two of them? How ... how is that possible?" she said as well. She felt quite like she lacked the words to express what she felt about Timea's body. Finally, she said, in a humorous tone of voice: "I kind of want to have such scales, as well."

"Even so, I may as well see what I can learn. I can already channel my power in one way. Learning another should not be too hard."

"Why, thank you~!", Timea said, sounded the most cheery she had all day, appreciating the praise. After, she was quiet for a moment, imagining Anik being covered in scales like her own, letting out a small snicker at the mental image. "I just imagined you with these scales, it looks ever so awkward."

She then reverted fully back to her default form, but kept the blanket covered. "But to answer your question: I have seven of them", she stated, then spoke in a hushed tone again. "The front of my body is much broader than what you've felt just now, to have space for it all. Each head also has its own brain, so in some sense, that makes me and us." After explaining this, Timea let out another snicker. "If I referred to myself like that, I don't doubt that would get very confusing."

Mathan Daer Area - Day 10 - 24:51

Anik laughed as well after Timea had stated she had imagined her with scales. "Well, I would not mind the look ... but I guess others would. So it probably would not be the very best idea."

When Timea reverted back, Anik took her hand away from Timeas draconid body, mildly disappointed that she had to do so already. When Timea explained her seven heads, however, mostly confusion spoke from her face. "Seven?" she asked silently as well. "I ... how ... so can you talk to yourself or something? Umm ... yes, I guess this would be very confusing, although you have more reason to do so than some kings who refer to themselves as "us" themselves ... for some weird reason.

Still, I ... I don't really understand how you can have seven heads. How do you move your body? With one brain only? All together? Do all of these heads have ... you as personality? Or are there differences? ... Ahh, so many questions, I understand nothing!"

You hum as you consider Quan Chi's proposal, before responding; [color=0066cc]"That might work. Alright, I've got an idea: I'll approach one of them, and knock him out. Then you control the other one, leaving him open to be knocked out as well."[/color] After hesitating for a moment, you add; [color=0066cc]"That is, unless there are any bystanders. Do we know what's on the other side of that gate? If there are more guards there, going loud might be our only choice. The easiest way would be to use one of your fancy portals, but I assume there's a reason we have to go through the front door?"[/color]

"Entering one small jail is one thing. This entire city is under guard. It is fortunate we found an empty spot here at all. Inside there is likely to be filled with opponents, and I do not want to risk opening a portal that leads to a group of wardens." Quan Chi thought, and had an epiphany. "If we go in at all, it will be violent and loud... unless we are captured and brought inside."

Quan Chi and Shara would see that there were quite a few bystanders moving around that could potentially see them. The gate to the northern ward was at the end of a straight road leading to the southern entrance, both of which were in the middle of the walls into which they were built. This meant that the road cut through the city centre, where most of the traffic was. They would also hear the sounds of soldiers training on the other side of the wall.

"I suppose I could. It wouldn't be much different than if you would talk to yourself, however", Timea said, answering Anik's first question, speaking normally.

She smiled to herself at Anik's confusion, feeling amused by this. Once Anik finished speaking, Timea snapped her fingers to announce touch, then gave a light poke against the side of Anik's head. "So many questions, indeed~" She paused, then continued speaking in a hushed voice again.

"I can control my body with one brain, while doing other things with the rest. I could also control it with more than one, say, have each move a different arm. Each brain can only control its own head and neck, however.

Each has "me" as a personality, as you said. Although, at the same time, not precisely... ? I honestly don't really know." For a moment, Timea trailed off, a bit lost in thought, then let out a soft "hmm", and continued. "I do think independently with each of them, but there is also a... synergy between them. A thought had in one head is known to the other.

Does that make sense?"

Anik thought it over a bit, then answered: "Yes, it kind of does make sense. So ... I guess you are still mostly one, then, in some way. And not, like, different heads would argue with each other, being different persons ... that seems weird, as well.

But with so many heads, ... what happens with them when you are in this form? They merge together, or something?
And ... did the others of your species also have this many heads? Or are you the only one?"

"In a way. All the brains don't become one; that would probably kill me. But I do have them all in the same skull.

As for others, my mate had, as did the young I bore with him. ... Other generations, however had only one head. " Explaining this, Timea's mood sank, sounding more sullen. "I've heard stories of multi-headed beasts matching the descriptions of dragons, from the north, west and east, however. It might be possible they still exist."

As she felt Timeas mood sink, Anik did not ask about the young and the mate, instead trying to direct the conversation in another direction. "Well, I heard a lot of stories about some of these, too, in my world. Although I did not hear a story about ... one of your kind, with multiple heads.

So there are probably some that exist, as well, maybe even in other worlds. Oh well, I really wish we get the possibility to freely travel between some."

Mathan Daer Area - Day 10 - 24:55​

"You and me, both", Timea commented, then glanced up to the sky, thinking for a moment. Without looking down, she then said; "hmm. Assuming we'll be able to do this, and once we each go our separate ways, I wonder if we'd be able to find one another again."

 

[Silence]

Mathan Daer Area - Day 10 - 24:55

Anik was silent for a few moments, then answered: "I wonder that myself. But ... if you find a good world, I think it is not necessary for me to visit. You deserve the peace, not the chaos I bring. Still, it will be a hard goodbye, if we never see each other again."

Mathan Daer Area - Day 10 - 24:56​

"Don't say that. I enjoy being around you", Timea stated. Stepping closer, Timea snapped her fingers, and lifted Anik's hair out of the way, then lightly rubbed her nose against Anik's neck. Stepping back shortly after, Timea blew a small sigh, then said; "Ah, let's not get all glum like this, prematurely, hmm? We still have this journey to finish, and after that, it's not like we'd have to go separate ways immediately."

Mathan Daer Area - Day 10 - 24:56

Anik blushed slightly, still not used to the noserubbing thing, but not disliking it. While she thought if she could do the same back to Timea, she answered, smiling: "I enjoy being around you too ... never thought you would say that, though. I'm kind of messed up. ... Thanks.
But yes, let's not get glum. We don't even know what awaits us at the end of the journey. We'll see it soon enough."

With that, they organized and undertook basic needs, so Timea could take the first watch, while Anik was sleeping. Anik, not feeling too tired, sipped a little bit of wine to help her, and fell asleep soon enough, but did not sleep very long. As she came into a dream phase, after about 5 hours, she woke up, startled. As she felt like she could not sleep again, feeling like she had enough sleep as well, she switched watch with Timea.

Mathan Daer Area - Day 11 - 10:30

When Timea woke, Anik was relaxing near a campfire, eating some cheese and drinking some wine. While being awake, she had explored her surroundings a bit, otherwise mostly waited and thought. She had half expected to cry again, but did not, to her own surprise. When she thought of Shara, she mostly felt anger, and determination to get Quan Chi talking, if he ever showed up again. The rest of the time, she waited and tried to think of nothing.
Hearing Timea wake, she turned her head towards her, and waited until Timea said something.

Mathan Daer Area - Day 10 - 24:56​

Seeing Anik blush, Timea smirked a bit, somewhat amused by the reaction she got. "Indeed", she responded, then sat down. "But for now, let's rest for the night. I still don't feel very tired, so I'll take the first watch. I suggest spreading those scarves you have out over the ground, so it won't be quite as unpleasant to sleep on."

Mathan Daer Area - Day 11 - 10:30​

During her watch, Timea busied herself with finishing the sculpting of the pine tree statuette, then continuing the work on the second statuette she was working on. After three hours, however, she started to get hungry, the meal she had previously just being breakfast. Not going to leave the party alone during the night, she begrudgingly opted to power through the hunger, thinking sleeping would take the edge off, at least.

When switching watch with Anik, Timea had some trouble falling asleep due to her empty stomach, but eventually slept soundly. Being used to living in the mountains, the stony ground didn't bother her.

Waking after seven and a half hours, Timea let out a soft groan, and got up into a sitting position. Looking around, she looked to Anik, saying, "Good morning, Anik. Did you sleep well?"

Mathan Daer Area - Day 11 - 10:30

Hearing Timea, Anik answered with a smile: "Good morning. Yes, I did sleep well. How was your sleep?"

She finished the last bites of her breakfast, and put the rest of cheese and wine back into her bag. Then, after putting out the fire, she carefully walked closer to Timea.
