Vala - Day 10 - 17:19

Shara's shots took down the archers, and made the priests reconsider their charge when one of them was brought down. The other narrowly avoided the same fate, largely by being behind his companion at the time.

The archers in the building would ready another volley, but wouldn't shoot, since they doubted their ability to destroy the wall of skulls. One of the sorcerers, however, sent a large rock hurtling towards the wall.

The cuts on Anik's chest would turn to red scars, though there would be no noticeable effect for Anik. However, the priestess stated that the ritual was done, and began washing the blood up.

You groan, spitting out some blood and coughing as you get up to all four. [color=0066cc]"I'm pretty sure I've got a broken rib or two..."[/color]

Mathan Daer - Day 11 - 11:06

"I feel ... nothing. But it did work, right?" Anik asked. After getting the affirmative response, and had the blood washed off, she got up, felt for her clothes and put them back on again. Grabbing her cane and bag as well, Anik thanked the priestess for answering all her questions, and performing the ritual. After a curteous bow, like she was used to do it, Anik said farewell to the priestess, then found her way to the exit of the church.

Wandering through the city, Anik realized she had forgotten to ask about directions to an inn or to a shop for climbing gear. Not frowning for long, she decided to follow the scents of fruits to the marketplace. Walking until she hit a market stand with her cane, she smiled and turned her head towards a person she sensed behind it. "Greetings." Anik said. "I would like to buy some fruit, but I also had some questions, if you don't mind.
Do these fruits I smell grow around here, locally?"

"Most of the berries do, but the other fruits don't." the man behind the stall replied. "What would you like?"

"Some apples and pears would be nice, then." Anik answered, smiling, and counted the coins she still had with her. "Another question, though: Are there many inns around here? I would want to ask about some people, if there is only one ... but if there would be several, it would take too long. And if there is only one, could you describe the way to it for me?"

As the man began packing Anik her fruit, he told her that there were a few inns in the city. He then asked, "Who do you want to ask about? I might be able to help."

Mathan Daer - Day 11 - 11:10

"Alright, I won't check out all of these inns. I wanted to ask if someone of these people came through here:" Anik then proceeded to recite the descriptions of Robin and co., as well as Shara, with new paper face and old stump arm.

Whether or not the merchant answer yes or no, Anik then asked him, after paying and taking the fruit: "Can you describe to me the way to the nearest shop for climbing gear, instead?"

[color=0066cc]"Well, what's the plan now?"[/color] - You ask, getting up to a sitting position and yanking out the arrow in your left arm with a pained grunt. This causes another small coughing fit. Getting up, you pull out the two arrows sticking out of armour vest. [color=0066cc]That one would have gone in my heart, if I didn't have my vest on...[/color]

The man would state that he had seen none of those people, before giving Anik the directions she needed.

Thanking the merchant, Anik wandered off, finding the shop for climbing gear. She went inside, and spoke to the first person she heard. "Greetings. I would like to buy some climbing gear ... if it is not too expensive. Things with which I could climb to the caverns of Faotar. What kind of equipment do you have here?"

"We know they have spellcasters here. Did you manage to kill or injure one?" he asked.
Robin ran out into the courtyard, looking around the battlefied with tome in hand.

"Problematic..." Quan murmured.
Robin used his senses to get a lay of the land, spotting someone on the roofs. He was about to call out when he recognised Shara, and fell silent instead, wondering just what the hell was going on here.

You head over to the edge of the roof, peeking down into the courtyard. [color=0066cc]"Huh, I'll be damned..."[/color] - You mutter as you spot Robin. You then back away and look back to Quan Chi. [color=0066cc]"Our best bet, if getting some skymetal is the objective, would probably be to get inside. It could be risky, but we'd minimize our numerical disadvantage."[/color]

Quan agreed, looking for a way down into the building.
Robin motioned to Cybil as she arrived on the scene. "Something weird is going on here." he whispered to her.
