Anik did indeed want to eat some meat herself. Having gotten hungry after her emotional rollercoaster, she wolfed it down without much regard for etiquette or if she did get dirty while doing so.
This, as well, lightened her mood some more.

When Timea was finished, Anik got up from the sitting position she had taken, smiled happily, even if slightly anxious, and said: "Yes!" like a little girl would do. She then walked to Timea after picking up her things, waiting for her to put her on her shoulders.

Timea stayed seated as Anik walked towards her, waiting for her to climb on to her back. Seeing Anik stop, and make no move to climb on to her shoulders, she felt slightly confused. "Um. You're going to have to climb on, yourself", she instructed, letting out a faint chuckle.

North Valan Road - Day 14 - 05:30

"Oh. Right." Anik said, not having known how Timea had prepared for her to get on her back. She clicked and felt along Timeas shoulders for the right spot to push herself up, then did exactly this, using momentum to skip one or two stages in just climbing.

Sitting on Timeas shoulders, she announced: "Now go and carry me away like the wind!"

"Something of mine, very important, was stolen and is being held under guard. I need a group to storm the place while I retrieve it. I can assure you that none of your men will die."

Timea smiled at Anik's exclamation, responding with, "yes, madam~!"

She snapped her fingers, took hold of Anik's shins so there wouldn't a risk of Anik falling off, then rose to her full height, and moved back on the road, continuing towards Vala, thereafter.

After some five minutes of walking, Timea decided to address the issue of world travel. "Hmm. We haven't really gotten the chance to talk about it, but let's talk about the possibility of moving off this world", she announced. "The gods might not be able to give us a way, but not all hope is lost. As I've mentioned before, I do suspect Cybil came here by her free will, and it thus stands to reason she would have a way to leave, as well.

Another possibility might be catching one of those people who come and go as they please, and try to learn just how they do this."

The mercenary sighed and said, "If you're this vague again, we're not taking the job. Now, either tell us what we're actually doing, or get out of here."

Listening to what Timea was saying, Anik frowned a little. She said, slightly cautious: "You are right, Timea. There are still possibilities. I don't know about Cybil ... but it seems like the people coming after us have given up. Or they got the triceratops, whatever. We did not meet one of them in quite a time, I doubt anyone would come after us again.

Not even Quan Chi did come after me. He probably can't look everywhere, just where Shara is, is what I am suspecting. So I guess trying to ask Cybil is our best bet, if we would be able to find her again."

She paused for a moment, then continued: "We might, however, also face the possibility that we are trapped on this world. It's not what I want, but with the sun coming back ... it will be at least more liveable again. Maybe finding some place to settle down, here ..."

Timea listened to Anik's response while walking, not bothered by the words, as they were nothing she hadn't considered, herself, already. "Has it really been that long since the group of people has tried to come after us? I can't really tell", she said, more musing than asking a question. "Hmm. Has it been a week? We can fairly safely considered them no longer an issue, if it has."

"The last one was in Vesh, some time before we got to the hot ice. So ... yes, I think it has been this long. I'm not really sure of how long it was exactly, either. So this is no issue ...

hmm ... if we stay on this world a lot longer, what would you think of doing?" Anik asked, not knowing what she herself would do.

"My, time goes by ever so quickly", Timea said, letting out a small, soft chuckle. "Either way, I think I would settle in south Calibeth, in the mountains. It has decent prey in the area, and a river close by, assuming this returns when Calibeth is revived.

I've always considered the possibility that we'd have to start calling this place home. That's why I originally started to look in to which god does what, if you recall. I've had plenty of time to think about this."

"Ah, I hope so." Anik said. "I would probably not want to live in the desert ... wouldn't mind visits though.

I understand. So, it would be really good if we could talk to Avinah as well, as she is the goddess of life, yes? Maybe get her to help us individually, or something ...
Anyways, for myself ... are the people in Kaisir actual ... I mean, are there more similar humans to me? I don't really want to go alone."

She paused for some time, then

"Possibly. But I wouldn't want too much help, personally.

But to answer your question; they do look more similar to you, but they still don't smell the same. Although a human couldn't pick up on this. There isn't much to hunt on Kaisir, however. From what I've seen, their diet is largely fish. I think you might be able to settle in the village, in the far north in Vesh. Although there would be no fruits there, obviously. You'd have to travel a good amount to gather these. Or get them in trade, I suppose."

East Northern Road - Day 14 - 05:38

"Hmm." Anik chuckled a little and said: "I had actually thought about this, too - living in the tiny, friendly village in the ice. But I would still always be a stranger, different than the Vesh'Rah, and I think you understand that just living in between ice is not something I really want to do. ... I could not even really hear echoes there, with all the snow. And I would miss the fruits very soon, especially because I don't know if the Vesh even know or eat some.

The Kaisiri would still be my best bet, even if they are not exactly the same. I probably could deal with the fish, too. I could also live around here, maybe find a little lake when the sun does come back ... but here might be the danger of war."

Quan walked away, making sure he was in a spot where he couldn't be seen, then made a portal underneath himself. He made another above the ship, falling through the portal onto the mercenary boat quietly.

"That's a fair point. As for fearing war on Calibeth, however, the threat of that would be no different than on Kaisir. Especially now that Calibeth's navy has been bolstered. Unless you happen to live on whatever armies decide to use as their battlefield, however, you can avoid feeling it's effects without too much trouble."
