"This isn't looking good, Kuki. It looks like Anik is being surrendered. I can hear what they're saying. Judge figure here wants to bring in Anik for justice and her execution, Ella's having none of it and gets herself incapacitated, and Lambda's advocating for Anik's stay here in this world."

She sighed.
"I see no point in holding our ground up here any more. Let's go back downstairs."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I spoke to her. She does not want to kill anyone." Lambda told her.

 

[ShindoL Shill]

Viyang glanced down at Anik, then up at White. [color=663399]"Inside, Anik mentioned someone in power forced her to kill. If this is the case, returning her to this man may just lead to more killings."[/color]

 

[Silence]

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. March 2nd, 2025
- Hotel -​

"... You think he would execute me? No, he would make sure I lived, and use me." Anik said weakly.

"Don't you know she has the ability to read the hearts of other people?" White called, angry. "She manipulates you, uses your doubts against you! She is clearly lying! The Emperor will deal with her, like he has dealt with so many others! And we, the circle, are worried about this dangerous being damaging this world as well! We need to restore the balance!"

She started making gestures with her hands, seemingly casting a spell.

 

[Chungus]

Montreal: ED Shelter, second floor. March 2nd.​

"What?! They're just handing her over? You can't be serious!"

Kuki exclaimed, distraught. At Shana's suggestion, however, Kuki began pacing around on the bed again, more than a little apprehensive of the course of action.

"But... it's not safe... ."

 

[Vakra jal]

"Never surrender, not a step back. The faithful ever protected, by the true gods, the primordial truth. No defeat stings the faithful, no foe stands against the truth. We bear the word, the secret in the dark" he prayed in a mutter. The incantation calming his mind. He looked at White, the field of battle. All for nought. Nothing achieved, no cause furthered. He cursed loudly. His Dark gods had no power here, his victories meant nothing. This was a loss to him. Without battle to occupy his thoughts they turned to his hopeless situation once more.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Why would she lie about that while admitting to her past crimes?" Lambda started booting up her Idea Engine, a low and quiet hum emanating from her body, in case anyone tried anything.

 

[ShindoL Shill]

[color=663399]"Very well, take her. But I want to see her execution in person."[/color] Viyang said.

 

[Kirke]

Ella fell backwards, hitting the asphalt hard. But from the earpiece that fell out, a faint voice could be heard. "[small]This is Skyranger Charlie Alpha One, the cavalry has arrived! What's your status, over?[/small]"

In the distance, a roar of engines could be heard, and the craft was soon visible. It stopped above the hotel, and the hatch opened. Six ropes fell down, four to the ground and two to the roof-top. Then, six armoured figures jumped out, rappelling down the ropes.

"I've faced people that hate me before back on my home planet. I realize now, from Dalahar's speech, that this engagement is no different. We have voices, and we can use them. The more voices they have down there, the more likely we can get something in our favor."

She moved the desk out of the way of the door.
"You won't know the hatred of your enemy unless you face them. You coming or not?" Her face did not budge, a fierce gaze.

 

[Silence]

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. March 2nd, 2025
- Hotel -​

Finishing her spell, white energy began forming around both of Anik's hands, then get pulled together slowly, like a handcuff.

Anik just broke down. "... No. Please. No." she repeated, sobbing.

"Because it is a way to manipulate you." White stated bluntly to Lambda, then nodded to Viyang. "I will see what I can do about that, but I don't think there is a law against you observing."

The angel and the two soldiers looked to the people arriving, getting together and staying defensive.
"I hope they won't interfere now." White said, glancing upwards.

Viyang's spear vanished once more, and she stood back. [color=663399]"Thank you."[/color] she said.

 

[Chungus]

Montreal: ED Shelter, second floor. March 2nd.​

Hearing Shana's reply, Kuki stared at Shana as she went to move the desk, their body language changing. They spread their toes, dug claws dug into the sheets, and lowered themselves through the front legs.

"Don't lecture me about conflict"

, they said, still with an unchanged tone, but speaking slower than usual.

Exhaling, Kuki took large strides towards the foot end of the bed, taking as large strides as their stubby legs could take them.

"Fine, I'm coming"

, they said, but stopped at the edge, and looked down. They looked for a moment, then assumed a more demure posture again.

"So... whenever you're ready."

Lambda looked to the soldiers, then to White and Viyang, conflicted. She moved between all participants. "May I speak to this emperor before we pass judgement?" she asked White.

 

[Vakra jal]

Dalahar could here the comms on his vox clearly. "Reinforcements?" Ella had proven again to be one if the most steadfast human she had met. To see her fall, to see the others stand aside for the sake of non violence. He patched his channel to the aircraft "Your operative is down, assaulted by the ones in White" he voxed over, his thirst for battle stirring. He was astartes. He didn't stand down. He would die before standing down.
he had done terrible things too and knew empty punishment led know where. Those were he mistakes of where he had come from. Punishment had turned the word bearers from the most loyal legion to the first traitors.

 

[Slenn]

Shana picked up Kuki and made their way downstairs.

They made it outside just in time to see Ella's forces arrive.

 

[Kirke]

The four soldiers who rappelled down to the street brought up their guns, and one of them yelled; "Drop your weapons! Get on the ground, now!" - Meanwhile, the two who landed on the roof-top got to the edge and aimed down at the group, one of them with a sniper rifle. Hearing Dalahar's warning, she took aim at White's head. The other took aim at one of the angels. With it's load of troopers deployed, the aircraft set off again, gaining altitude quickly.

 

[Silence]

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. March 2nd, 2025
- Hotel -​

"He will probably allow it, but I need to ask him first." White said to Lambda. She took Anik by the arm, pushing her slightly and not very friendly.

Hearing she should drop her weapon, White in fact let her spear drop onto the ground. The angel and the two swordsmen laid there swords down as well.
"I will just take her with me!" she called. "I do not wish to fight you."

 

[Chungus]

Montreal: ED Shelter, exterior. March 2nd.​

Carried by Shana, Kuki was quiet, their heart rate increasing the further the two got to the front door. Once outside, they looked around the area, then up to the aircraft as it arrived. When the XPOL forces emerged from the craft and called out, Kuki began shaking, being quiet for a moment.

Gathering their courage, Kuki eventually looked to an agent, and called out.

"You can't let her get away! This woman said herself she and her people plan on interfering with the affairs of this planet!"

Speaking, Kuki raised the volume of the speaker above normal levels, to make themselves heard.

Hearing some vague, ethereal voice mention something about White interfering with the planet, she thought aloud to herself, [color=ff9966]"I wonder what exactly that's supposed to mean?"[/color]
