Lambda closed her eyes and thought, trying very hard to not just flip her lid and lock everyone down. She looked to the troopers. "Try not to fire." She looked back to White. "I understand you want her to face justice, but she can here as well. And with what you said about the portal, I doubt you can make many demands."

 

[Vakra jal]

Frustrated Dalahar saw the soldiers and White lowering their weapons. Keeping his weapon trained on them he thudded closer. Ella stood for correct procedure to the extreme and though his agreement in this was a little more grey than hers it was her sense of duty and unshakable will to her cause that resonated with him. He wouldn't let her defiance be wasted. "You're not taking her." He said gruffly "This goes down how Ella said it does, that you observe the law of this place. You may not like it, but it's the way things are here" that last part he was saying to himself as much as everyone.
over vox he advises the newly arrived soldiers "the flying ones are priority targets. They enhance the other ones given a chance"

 

[Kirke]

"On your stomachs! All of you, now!" - The lead trooper shouted, clearly not interested in what anyone had to say. They began to close in, with weapons raised and fingers on the triggers. However, the trooper accompanying the sniper on the roof sent a transmission back to Dalahar; "I've got 'em in my sights. But we need all of you to get down now or we will take you down."

 

[Silence]

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. March 2nd, 2025
- Hotel -​

"She can not get justice in a world where she did not commit crimes, yet." White explained to Lambda. "I need to take her from here."

As was called that they should go down, Anik did so, even though she fell flat on her face.

White chanted something instead. "You will not stop me!" she called.
The two soldiers got down, either to take cover, or to get to their swords.
The angel flew high up instead.

Lambda decided that was the stopping point, and hit the floor with the others, unused to the feeling of the ground.

"A lady shall never get on her hands and... knees... for..." Candace started proud but tailed off as the gravity of the situation set in, and lied flat on the floor with as much dignity and poise as possible, which still wasn't really that much.

Viyang's eyes began glowing brightly, and she glared over at Ella, a thunder-like rumbling audible within Viyang's chest. [color=663399]"Order your soldiers to stand down. We have achieved peace with this group without the need for violence, and this is only going to make things worse."[/color] she ordered.

 

[Slenn]

Shana lied flat immediately without question.

As the trooper shouted the order, Kuki began to regret their decision to go against their judgement and leave the room, saying nothing further.

After Shana set Kuki down to get down, herself, Kuki laid themselves out flat on their stomach, legs stretched out. The glanced around while prone, looking to Viyang as she defied the order, thinking that couldn't possibly end well.

 

[Vakra jal]

Dalahar didn't want to lower his weapon "no can do. I've fought them I know what to expect" he voxed. When he heard the chanting again he knew what it meant, opening fire at the Angel as it flew upwards, hoping the burst would clip it.

 

[Slenn]

"I think I underestimated the tension of the situation." She muttered. "Thought it was going to cool down, but apparently someone called in a squad."

 

[Kirke]

The sniper fired, launching a supersonic slug of metal towards White's head. At the same time, the other rooftop trooper tracked the angel and fired a beam of brilliant emerald laser at it.

The leading trooper, armed with a blaster rifle, fired a stun bolt at Viyang's centre of mass. Two others opened fire on the two soldiers with bursts of metal slugs. The final one, armed with a large blaster-cannon, targeted Dalahar. He hesitated to fire, however, unsure if his cannon would even have any effect.

Ella was knocked out on the ground, quite possibly with a concussion, and so could not respond to Viyang.

 

[Silence]

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. March 2nd, 2025
- Hotel -​

White had clearly overestimated herself. She had wanted to cast another protective spell, but she clearly did not know the speed and type of a sniper rifle.
She was hit, and fell down, bleeding from the head.

The angel was hit by two shots at once, falling down immediately.

The two soldiers covered themselves with their shields, but they clearly got dents into them.

The angel and the white energy flowing freely vanished back into the earth, but the soldiers and Anik's 'handcuff' stayed.

Far away, someone told others: "She was shot, while her weapons lay on the ground."

 

[Furioso]

Raz had picked a convenient time to go on a walk, and had been/was exploring the city while the fighting was going on.

Seeing the Angel fall, Dalahar grunted in approval. Weapon trained on the shielded soldiers he opened fire with the charger, firing in bursts of 2 again aimed at centre mass. He backed up to where Ella lay as he did so and took a position in between her and White.

Unless the stun bolt used electricity to incapacitate targets, Viyang would fall to the ground slumped against the wall of the hotel.

Candace and Lambda both stayed down, neither of them wanting to fight.

Nina laid down on her stomach and sighed.

"[small]And it's about time something like them showed up[/small]"

, Kuki said on picking up on Shana speak, they themselves speaking with a lowered volume again. While not hearing the shots firing, Kuki saw the blaster bolt impact against Viyang, while catching a glimpse of White falling from the sky. At this, Kuki closed their eyes, trembling more.

Since the stun used electricity, Viyang was not affected at all. Instead, her eyes glowed a little brighter as she absorbed the charge. However, since she didn't want to push her luck, she lay down on the ground slowly, glaring up at the officer that had shot her.

 

[Kirke]

The two troopers firing at the soldiers stopped, and the heavy gunner shouted to Dalahar to stop firing as well. One of the troopers with a magnetic rifle jogged over to White, checking if she was still alive and if so, she cuffed White before holding out a hand towards the injury. She began to hea White.

The officer looked back down on Viyang, looking more annoyed than anything else, before he hurried over to check on Ella. The sniper and the laser man kept an eye on everyone from above.

The two soldiers were ordered to get down on their stomacks as well.
