Ella stopped, and turned to Viyang; "First thing I told 'White' was who she should talk to in order to request Anik extradited. She replied that she did not care for our laws and rules, and further made clear that she meant to destroy government property. 'White' had summoned a small army to take Anik by force, and when I refused to hand over Anik she attacked." - She paused, then continued; "Anik could be arrested afterwards, as I just did. And as for you getting shot, they were not soldiers, but police. Second, I spoke with the officer in question, he was using a blaster rifle. Standard procedure with them is to fire a stun bolt first, which he did. If you hadn't backed down, he would have switched to the 'kill' setting. I called them in a few minutes earlier, and I informed them that I was under attack by extradimensionals using magic. You were using magic and you were non-compliant, so they attempted to bring you down."
Then, an officer cuffed Viyang and told her what rights she had, then began to lead her away towards a police car. When that had happened, Ella turned to Lambda and replied; "One of the other officers has called the guards there and made them aware of it. They'll probably be augmented by police officers as well."
"We will cordon the area, and then a crime scene investigator will look the place over. I know two people are being arrested, so they should get their day in court. Anything else you were wondering about?" - The officer replied to Kuki. He was struggling to keep a straight face as he talked to a dancing rodent.
Then, an officer cuffed Viyang and told her what rights she had, then began to lead her away towards a police car. Ella looked over at Shana and replied; "I'm afraid I don't know. They aren't sentenced yet, and extradimensionals are treated a bit special. If they are found guilty, well, both murder and kidnapping can result in life incarceration. But Anik can't be tried here since the crime was not committed here. If 'White' hadn't attacked, Anik would probably have been extradited. As it is, I really don't know what will happen. As for Viyang, well, if she's found guilty she might be sentenced to deportation. She'd be in jail until her home dimension is found, and then sent there."
The officer thought for a moment, then replied; "I can't say for certain, but the investigation shouldn't drag on too long. And since everything happened outside, as far as I've heard, I don't think the hotel itself will be cordoned off. And I can't really say what will happen to them. The maximum jail-time for kidnapping is life, but it is also possible that she'll be deported to her home dimension. The shorter one would ordinarily be extradited, but this is an unusual situation. She can't tried here either, other dimensions are outside our jurisdiction."

"I just... I'm sorry. About all this. It all spiraled out of control. I just wanted to ask Anik about what White had said before I made up my mind." Lambda told Viyang sheepishly.
