"I was thinking of training today. Although I don't know where."

"I'll happily train you today Shana, I need some time and some space though. I must collect my thoughts on the occurrences" he answered

ED Shelter, exterior, Montreal. March 2nd.​

"Oh, okay. Hope it helps take your mind of things. And I guess I'll see you, tomorrow"

, Kuki said, addressing both Shana and Dalahar. With this said, Kuki turned, and moved to the shelter, entering it.

 

[Silence]

Fernand had hidden under a table in the breakfast area, but now was crawling out from under it.
He saw Kuki running in and called to him:
"... I heard shots. Everything okay? What happened to Anik?"

 

[Chungus]

Montreal, ED Shelter, lobby. March 2nd.​

Inside the building while starting to look for personnel, Kuki stopped as Fernand came out from his hiding space, and spoke.

"Well, no one got hurt. Viyang was shot by an officer, but it didn't hurt her, so I guess it was just a warning shot. Anik, though... she's been arrested for the murder charges levied against her. After the woman's attack, though, she's not likely to be handed over, and she can't be tried, here". So... it's really up in the air what's going to happen to her, now

, Kuki answered, lowering their head a little as they spoke.

"Viyang was arrested, too, for trying to hand Anik over, herself. She's facing deportation, or life in jail. ... Hope it's the former."

 

[Silence]

"She ... " Fernand began, then lost his words. After a bit of time trying to think about how to put it, he said: "I hope Anik gets out of there fine. I was starting to care about her ... she seemed like she wanted to help people, not kill them. I don't know what happened in that other world, but here ... the charges did not sound like her. Not at all.

... I think I would want to visit her in prison, later."

"What happened to that other woman? The one wanting to catch her?"

 

[Vakra jal]

Dalahar knelt down onto the floor and began muttering mantras under his breath as he commenced his meditation

 

[Kirke]

Ella had followed Kuki into the hotel in order to get her armour, and she replied to Fernand; "She was shot by the ETR team. She twice refused to stand down, and apparently started chanting magic so the troopers opened fire."

 

[Silence]

"Oh. Okay." Fernand said. "I hope this won't cause more trouble."

 

[Chungus]

Montreal, ED Shelter, lobby. March 2nd.​

"From what I heard, she admitted to the crimes. I wouldn't even believe the accusations if it wasn't for that. I don't know... "

, Kuki paused, then was quiet for a moment. They looked away, then back to Fernand.

"But, yes. I'd like to visit her, too."

When Ella chimed in, Kuki looked up to her, then back to Fernand again.

"One of her accomplishes was arrested, though. But others seemed to have... vanished? I'm not sure what happened, there.

 

[Silence]

"I saw only a glimpse of them, but weren't they ... white? Like, not human? Maybe some kind of magic?
... I'm never sure about this stuff from other worlds.

Maybe Ella knows something similar?" Fernand asked, looking from Kuki to Ella.

After a few seconds, he added: "You wanna get picked up again, Kuki?"

 

[Kirke]

"If there is, we're prepared for it now. Besides, Anik will be well-protected if they try again." - Ella said to Fernand, trying to sound reassuring. She then looked down at Kuki; "They were magical in nature, she summoned them. I'm surprised that the last one didn't vanish when she died."

 

[Chungus]

"Yes, please. I wanted to look for an employee to take me upstairs. But if you could do it, that would be nice"

, Kuki answered Fernand.

After being picked up, they looked to Ella, saying,

"I guess that explains why I couldn't look at his insides. Strange, though. I've got a question, though. Has this planet have a history with whatever place this woman came from, you think?"

 

[Kirke]

"Not that I know of. We mostly cooperate with other worlds through a network of bounty stores. But their bounty hunters know about XPOL and aren't nearly that confrontational. There are a few places that have direct extradition treaties as well, but in those cases they request our help." - Ella replied. She didn't seem very happy when speaking about the bounty hunters.

 

[Slenn]

Meditation sounds like a good idea. I might practice doing a few rounds with the reactor sleeves.
Shana sat down cross legged near a wall and brought the edges of her sleeves together. The sleeves seemed to encapsulate some volume without any leaks. Furthermore, they didn't look like there were ruffles or creases in them. As if they were now a more rigid object. Shana closed her eyes and the sleeves began to hum from the inside, their symbols glowing blue.

"Bounty stores?"

Kuki repeated, then looked up to Fernand.

"Didn't you say those caused trouble, here?"

they asked, then looked back to Ella.

"Or did this happen in another part of the world?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"To not know where you come from sounds like a horrible fate..."

 

[Silence]

"Yes, there was some trouble, but I don't think here ... although I doubt I would know if there was something." Fernand answered Kuki.

 

[Drakmorg]

[color=ff9966]"Not really."[/color] Nina replied. "I don't know if I left anything behind, so why should I be sad about it?"

 

[Kirke]

"They do cause trouble from time to time." - Ella said with a sigh. "It used to be that XPOL was a military organisation, and the national police were unable to deal with many dangerous extradimensionals. Back then, the bounty stores were necessary. I dislike working with them, but I have to, according to the law."
