Conversely, if you admitted you were 14 on the Escapist servers and then squeaked enough to annoy me, I'd kick you.

I was a kid once, and I had a squeeky voice. All the kids at my school have squeaky voices. 90% of the kids I've ever met have had squeaky voices.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with having a high-pitched voice, but if your voice truly isn't high-pitched then you are somewhat of an exception.

I can't really sum my thoughts up better than this, I'm afraid. I don't care if I sound 'mean'. I paid for a game, if someone's voice annoys me, I'm going to mute them.

I paid for the game as well why should I be discriminated by the sound of my voice?

You are failing to realize no one is obligated to listen to something annoying--in this case, your voice--just because you bought the game. Remember THEY BOUGHT THE GAME AS WELL. Essentially they have purchased the RIGHT to mute you. If your voice's pitch/timbre is annoying, that's all the justification someone needs.

The main problem I have with kids playing is that they tend to be really immature and have a ridiculously high opinion of themselves,a poor understanding of how to interact, a general failure to understand that the game with other people and some strange sense of entitlement to everything.

An example from Left 4 Dead 2"AWWWWWWWWWWW YOU PICKED UP TEH CHAINSAAAAAW!!!!!!!!!! I WANTED THE CHAINSAW!!!!! GIVE ME THE CHAINSAW! IF YOU PICK UP A FRYING PAN YOU CAN DROP THE CHAINSAW! LOOK I WILL GIVE YOU A BASEBALL BAT IF YOU GIVE ME THE CHAINSAW! GIVE ME T...(ect)"

That said this hasn't been my experience with all kids playing games, some are more mature than others and seeing as I started playing violent video games when I was about 14 it would be hypocritical of me to complain about underage kids playing games.
Unfortunately it has been my experience with kids playing games for the majority of the times I have encountered them.
