I'm a pretty big SOAD fan, but I'd have to agree. There are a lot of morons out there who don't appreciate the band for what they REALLY are, modern renaissance men. And I also like A7X, but their music is meh aside from most of City Of Evil, and their fans are extremely obnoxious.w9496 said:I was sick of Portal fans at one point, but I got over that after awhile.
I hated COD fans at my school until I realized that I could throw my 2.5 K/D in their stupid faces.
And dare I say it, some System of a Down fans really get on my nerves, same with A7X. If this thread only pertained to video game fans, it would be nice to be outlined in the initial post.

It's the haters who are the worst. The ones who just refuse to let people enjoy games that they like, who just need to keep butting in to remind them of their inferior tastes, that they should really be playing THIS game instead of that one.
They are the ones who should just collectively piss off.
I like Dragon Age 2, and I defended it on these forums for being fun. Do you dislike me?Pandabearparade said:People who defend Dragon Age 2.
I had the "pleasure" of living with such a creature last year at uni. He was a decent enough chap, though if one mentioned a gaming console, he'd get into a rage about how PC's are superior in every way 'cept booting times; which was the one thing he'd give them credit for.RepeatAfterMe said:This.
But on the other side of the coin, there are PC Elitists, I've never found myself in an argument with one, but I assume whenever I talk about Steam my friends get annoyed
Care to explain your personal definition of what a 'gamer' is? This is precisely why the gaming community pisses me off. Everyone has to be such antagonistic jerks.Steel_viper said:console gamers, they're not real gamers
I prefer consoles because I was praticaly born with them (My first being the nintendo 64) after that I tried PC gaming but I just couldent get into it. I do use my computer for animation and game design thoughJerubbaal said:On my personal list of why I prefer a PC, graphical superiority is pretty low on my list, though it is on there. If you care to look at the rest of this thread, many of the reasons why PC gaming is considered superior (better controls, user-created content, and so on) have already been covered by myself and others. My computer could run Crysis on very high settings with no lag, but I could care less about that. I get it for all of the features it offers me because games designed with a "PC first" mentality tend to be better overall, even when ported to consoles. The same isn't true of console to PC ports.Dan Steele said:PC elietists that immediatly believe they are better than everyone just because they play on something that gives them slightly better graphics
