I've always liked age of empires and starcraft, but I've played those since I was born, now the actual ones I most like are C&C: red alert 3 and Dawn of War: dark crusade...and , I must admit for a console RTS halo wars is pretty well done

dawn of war : dark crusade, warcraft 3 or an older game called battle realms. the first two are awesome, and battle realms is actually kinda weak as a game, but i love that you start off with a clan of peasants and samurais!

I too, used to be a C&C guy.... then i fell in love with Supreme commander (BTW Aeon FTW, amirite?)

Aeon is awesome..... (i play uef sometimes..... cannot stand cybrin, or serephrim (i dont remember the spelling to all the factions )

By far, From all the RTSs i've played, Company of Heros is the best
and i've played quite a few

It takes a bit more time, and skill to play than other RTSs out there

YOu can't just Spamm stuff out... you actualy gotta move, and advace to get resources


So, in my opinion It's gotta Be Company Of heros

But this is just one Gods Opinion lol

Holy shit, people. The Total War series is NOT a RTS. The turn-based campaign is where the real strategy lies.

Rise of Nations is a timeless classic. Everything in that game seems ageless and classic, like Doom. And there's nothing better than completely annihilating an entire island with the classic CTRL + C / "Cheat Nuke" formula. Trust me.

Dawn of War by far. Dark Crusade has beautiful multiplayer, DOW2 has an awesome single player campaign. Now I'm prbly gonna get flamed here, but, I never really enjoyed Warcraft 3. Sure DOTA kept me interested for a week but otherwise it just didn't have a hold on me.

Dawn of war and CoH. If DoW2 had married the two of them I would have been ultra happy, as it is the gameplay change and the Steam/Windows live bit is keeping me away...and the lack of IG.

And whats wrong with steam or windows live? They're both free, admittadly steam is better than live but, steam is really really good. I've never had a problem with it. Or is it just the combo of the two that keeps you away?

Sins of a Solar Empire. Scale wise this one...well, this shit is fo' real. An RTS game that will give one a stress headache after an hour and an ulcer after a week of playing.
