I just don't like Half Life at all...I think it's shit...well shits too much. I just don't get why everyone thinks it's so good. Maybe I need to go back and play it and see if there's any difference in the ripe age of 21 :|

1. I don't like Half-Life
2. Portal 2 is better than Portal 1.
3. I think Forza and Gran Turismo are boring.
4. I hated Roller coaster Tycoon 3, but loved the first two.
5. I like GTA 4.
6. Bayonetta is a great game, sexualization aside.
7. I love all the Sonic games, even Shadow the Hedgehog, except for Sonic 06.
8. Sonic's Wii exclusives (Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonic and the Black Knight) are steps in the right direction.
9. I still love Modern Warfare 2.
10. I love to watch cutscenes.
11. By extension, I also love a good story.
12. I like level grinding, most of the time.
13. Left 4 Dead 2 is better than Left 4 Dead 1.
14. I like cooperative play (if done right).
15. Although I'm bored of it, World of Warcraft is an amazing game and it deserves the money it earns.
16. Multiplayer is not essential.
17. I don't hate things just because they're popular.
18. KDR is a meaningless number that people are way too obsessed with.
19. I like to heal/tank.

As annoying as wrestling the controls away from me to show your story is(EX. In a FPS your character puts down the gun and listens to your teammates) I still prefer it to cutscenes(unless they're skippable). Don't even say you need cutscenes to tell a story because Portal and Bioshock told there stories and only a had a intro cutscene and a cutscene before the credits.

Grinding can be fun if you create a goal that has real meaning(EX. Level up to beat the next boss, collect stuff to get a new weapon). It's essentially saying "work hard and you get a reward". What I don't like is when you grind for no real reason(EX. in WoW you will sometimes grind just to get to the next level so you can grind some more).

1. I think Fable 2 was better than either of the other games.

2. Pokemon should have ended at Hoenn

3. Wind Waker was the best Zelda

4. Halo Reach was the best Halo game since Halo 2

5. Mass Effect 2 was infinitely better than Mass Effect 1

6. Red Alert 2 is the best RTS ever

7. TOR will suck ass and KOTOR fanboys such as myself will march upon Bioware HQ for revenge.

8. I much prefer playing Fallout 3 and New Vegas as compared to the first 2

9. Realistic racing games are boring as hell

10. Brutal Legend was a fucking brilliant game in every aspect except facial animation.

- Majora's Mask is, by far, the best Zelda game (I don't consider OoT worthy of being in the top 5)
- Silent Hill 2 is the least scary Silent Hill game
- Resident Evil Zero is the best Resident Evil game
- The Pokémon games are getting better and so are, for the most part, the Pokémon designs
- The Final Fantasy series was never particularly good
- Portal was not that great
- It's perfectly ok for a game to just go "dude, dude, watch me pull this guy in half"

I like Okami, but I'm getting sick of people complaining about how it isn't popular.

I cannot play Okamiden because it has so many continuity errors.

I play Maplestory when I'm bored.

I love healing classes.

I hate the narrative of the Female Protagonist in Persona 3 Portable. It's in-your-face and rounds out all the characters to be appealing. Yuck.

Wind Waker is the best Legend of Zelda.

I love Gen V of Pokemon, and believe that in every gen, there are are awfully designed Pokemon.

I don't think Bioware is really all that great at writing.

DS Lite is my all time favorite handheld.

The best Nintendo franchise is Kirby.

My favorite JRPG is Skies of Arcadia: Legends.

Persona games can never address issues to the level that everybody wants, and I'm okay with that.

The Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha series is my favorite out the franchise, in terms of story, aesthetic, and humor.

I play games on an easier setting when necessary.

I believe that between file sharing and corporate copyright trolling like the RIAA and BREIN, the latter is the bigger evil. The standard response to that is apparently "HURR PIRATE".

Half-Life 2 had terrible pacing, and the plot isn't half as good as everyone seems to think it is.

Vanquish is a decent game ruined by shitty mechanics.

Demon's Souls isn't actually hard, most of the "difficulty" comes from memorization and testing your patience, given enough time my granodma could beat it.

Most old or "retro" games don't hold up, if they were ever good in the first place. See, everything on the N64.

People who ***** about "all games are brown" or "all games are the same" are as annoying as they are wrong.

There aren't nearly as many zombie games as there should be.

People to shut up about Valve. There are other good game companies out there. Oh, and Team Fortress 2 can **** off, and Half Life 2 hasn't aged well and the story is dull.

The Wii is a vital part of my console set, and not just for First Party Titles.

2D fighters are boring and simplistic for boring simpletons that can't play 3D fighters.

If it's well done, worth my money, and not on disc, I like DLC.

Ipad gaming adds nothing to the industry, and only dedicated gaming machines will be able to supply the quality products we claim.

I have no problem with the term "gamer." Yeah, we don't call movie buffs "moviers," but at that point it's just an argument of spelling, and trying to ape other industries.

Mass Effect 2 is like Mass Effect, but GOOD.

The PlayStation controller is a piece of crap in need of a serious redesign that makes the control sticks more important than the damn d-pad.

Moral choice in video games contributes nothing but hastily tacked on replay value in the vast majority of games that feature it.

There are good, legitimate reasons for choosing consoles over PC's fro gaming, and vice versa.

PEOPLE NEED TO SHUT THE GODDAMN HELL UP ABOUT VALVE! If you seriously think that they are the last bastions of good game development you need to widen your horizons beyond needle-width. They're good, yes, I don't think they've ever made a really bad game. But other companies consistently make games that are just as good, and often better, than any of Valve's. And this is the one that people will shake their heads at...
Nintendo is one of them.

Finally, the biggie:
Retro games are good, but I think that gaming has improved tremendously in this generation.

The graphics whores rule this industry now and may well make it too expensive for many lesser developers to produce games, possibly leading to a second crash.

The Playstation controller continues to be the most versatile one in the industry. They still haven't made one better since.

Bring on the flames.

STEAM sounds like a great idea/platform for gaming, but it's not: it's takes away control and REAL ownership of your games.

- Deus Ex: Invisible War doesn't suck

- Torchlight is considerably better than Diablo, Diablo 2 and probably Diablo 3

- The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex is a better game than Deus Ex

- Warcraft 3 is a crap RTS

- Unreal Tournament is a far superior franchise to Quake Arena

- Portal isn't all that good as a puzzle game

1) Silent Hill 4 was actually one of the better games of the series.

2) So was Conkers Bad Fur Day. It was damn funny and, really, that's all I wanted from it.

3) Myst was awesome, so was Exile, it's a shame we don't have more games like that.

(And the only really serious one that may piss a few people off)

4) Racial/gender equality in video games will never happen. Everyone knows a game sells more if you put tits on the cover and the "best" lead characters will always be white.

Every Final Fantasy game I have ever played is terrible. (I keep trying them, hoping "this time it'll be good" and they never ever are)

I really enjoy the Halo series (Even ODST and Reach)

Pokemon is tedious and boring as sin.

Graphics mean squat to me so long as I'm having fun.

I like cut scenes.

I like regenerating health.

I enjoy the Call of Duty series.

Too many games take themselves way too seriously.

FUN should take priority over one's KDR.

There needs to be another WW2 shooter. It's funny how many people complain of there being too much, whilst this generation only had a few of them, none of which are really worth mentioning (MoH: Airborne, anyone?).
