I call 'em a speed bump if I'm on the cross street. It's fitting just give them enough time.

In Norway, we call it "Your country is too broke to install traffic lights at every intersection, so you're free to drive like a monkey on meth".
Riddle me this, then. What sense does it make to spend taxpayer money putting a traffic light on an intersection that gets a car an hour on the busiest of days?
We don't have traffic lights at every intersection, but we don't have stop signs either.
We do have signs indicating which way that has to yield if there's traffic tho. Smaller road always has to yield for main roads etc. But if there's no crossing traffic, you don't have to slow down.
If there's no signs or no traffic lights the right side has the right of the way.
In other words, hitting another car on it's left side is a good way to void your insurance.

In Wisconsin I call it " Oh look there is no one here and I don't want to have to shift out of second gear..."

We don't call it anything since we drive on the wrong side of the road and don't have "Stop" signs here (at least not in the sense of how they work in America) in da UKofGB&NI (damn that's not as awesome as the USofA) we have "Give Way" signs which are mostly ignored and even though we have to wait until there's nothing coming on the right at roundabouts that also frequently gets ignored.

And we still complain about continental drivers...

We call that a 'rolling stop' over here.
Both of these.

However reading this thread I have come to another conclusion about drivers. Which I might make into a thread. If you can come to the same conclusion I shall give you a picture of a cookie.
Where we drive is always harder/crazier/more difficult? than where you drive.

I don't really call it anything on account of how few people do it and when they do its normally safe enough for them to get away with it and no one cares.

Did get in trouble for it once though while on motorbike training. Turns out even if you can't see the stop sign because of a tree, the road markings are worn into non-existence and no one else bothers it still counts on your test because the local instructor/tester knows its there.

We call it simply "Who the hell gave you the driving licence?" in Poland. Sometimes less politely.
