Running animation that doesn't look like something out of Team America

Obliviooon... FUCK YEAH....
ROTFL HAHAHA

yeah i'll have to say THAT and more brotherhood of darkness

**EDIT** cooler looking spellz too

After posting that I began to wonder if Oblivion would have been as much fun for the gaming community without its comedy animations though.

that if you do a quest that there actually chase something and like yatzee sad that the same people speak that a there own shop is good so that isn't what i want i want more different people and more things were they talk about. and that there is a real difference between fame and infamy. and that you see were you came from not just start in a jail
and that i u steal something that you can sell it after some days

Better combat system (something like Fallout 3 except with swords and arrows), more unique items, and houses that are more rewarding to break into and rob blind. Most of the houses in Oblivion had nothing of even moderate value. "OH BOY! Another stupid shelf full of crappy ceramic tableware, I sure am glad I took the time to break in here."

Also, I think someone else mentioned an improved property mechanic, and I've gotta agree, that'd be quite cool.
sometimes i robed from the castle were the fencer was and i even steal from him:) i only needed the unluck cheat and than at night i robed him sold his own stuff to him

I would like to see
More and better voice acting
A use for money, I had a bunch of gold and nothing to do with it
Make the best weapons and armor rarer, maybe buy (possible use for gold) or scavenge ruins for them
The leveling, why should bandits have daedric armor? Sure they should level up with you, but to a certain degree no??
Better armor and character customization
And a more varied combat system

More fun, less stupid running around an empty forest with wolves.

Also, more actual attacks. The whole "hur hur hur just 3 type of swings, and only one is usually good with your weapon" thing from Morrowind was annoying as hell. At least they could've made the swing animations decent, but nooo.

Also, crossbows. I want fucking crossbows. And Javelins. just bows in Oblivion sucked. I hate bows. Crossbows and javelins for ever!

Hmm... Yeah. More action and sneaking around, I guess, and better/improved dialogue options. And I didn't play Oblivion long enough to notice, but there should definitely be buildable towns and outposts like the one in Morrowind's expansion. It's just fun.

And the guards and the whole fine system could be changed. I want to be able to sneak on someone on the empty street, knock them unconsious, slit their throat and move their body to some ditch outside of town without anyone noticing me, so people wouldn't even know if anyone died... The whole "attack anyone who isn't completely alone in an instanced building and get a fine/guards on your arse" thing in Morrowind was just stupid.

Hm. Also, there needs to be more stealth encounters. Oblivion was certainly better then Morrowind at that in terms of sneaking and such, but getting 100% hameleon or invibility should be the alternative to good old fashioned sneaking. Penalties for armor type, weaponsize and everything should affect it too.

And more acrobatics stuff is always fun. Front rolls/backrolls, cartwheels, and everything like that for dodging things in combat.

And if you think about it, spells could be completely redone. I always hated the same stale animation...
pretty much all you wished for was granted with mods, but thats if your on the PC version, which you may not be.

I want more voice actors
maybe the ability to join the legion, and maybe some pirate missions, or a pirate guild

EDIT: oh, and maybe the ability to build a town, and be the ruler, hire your own guards, have your own wife/husband, control taxes, garrison forts, ect. That would be AWSOME!

the ability to actually be a sucessful battlemage -_-

But seriously a morality system that actually effects gameplay or a more interactive storyline were it's less go to point A to do objective B and more you can save the world and be a hero or enslave it and become the emperor yourself! (muhaha! >=])

-Damage to the terrain, like using a cannon on a boat to blow up a village or blow holes in a wall.
-Ability to put out candles/torches, some control over lighting.
-light things on fire. watch a village burn, or a simple camp fire.
-the ability to climb into the city with out a %^&#^&% load screen.
-design and build your own house / keep / castle.
-only a small degree of auto leveling mobs, some ares will out right kill me because i just shouldn't be there, and a group of bandits by the end of the game flee from my awesome fearsome presence.
-able to become a werewolf or vampire.
-better interactions with NPC's
-able to customize your background story
-smoother, more fluid combat. not just stand there with my beat stick.

- more detail to gear selection, not just a two piece armor set. (gloves, wrist, lower/upper arm, waist, hip) different pieces would cover more or less, so a full suit of armor could be a few pieces to multiple depending on quality and construction.

For it not to be made by Bethesda? That or it just being a good remake of Daggerfall, or something.

That scroll that lets you jump across the map, but kills you upon landing, bloody hilarious.
that would be the best!
but really"
horses that feel like horses, i loved the horses from AC
better combat, have target area damage
no more level scaling
make bows do more than shit damage without using mods
make the map big! and travel fun and interesting
large expansive towns and citys
have character looks real, and change the talking system, but i loved the system in fo3, i liked how it checked your agil/science ect to see if you can make a certain response
make the stealth better, it was an improvement in fo3 but was far from splinter cell
make rare items rare
make the difficulty settings work better
cloaks(that have physics)
morag tang
more dark brotherhood
make the main quest not suck, and give option to decline it

Another fantastic story line, 500 hours of gameplay, hot coffee dispensers, 4 wheel drive, and some rockin' guitar solos....

#1: I myself would like to see a better mount system, it seems in every RPG I play in I wind up not using mounts because it's easier to just walk (Exception: MMO RPGS). The all time champion of this was probably Two Worlds actually.

#2: I actually want to see them get rid of the Redguards as they currently exist and bring back the "Real" Redguards (ie Dwarves). I sort of felt their inclusion was intended to be politically correct, and I was frankly irritated how they did a re-write about Dwarves and removed them from the game entirely.

Mostly I admit I just want Dwarves though. :p

Also for those who wanted a game set in the Redguard areas they DID do one that was sort of an action/RPG hybrid, but it was sort of a disaster sort of like the other Elder Scrolls spin offs (like Battlespire). It was called umm... Redguard. :p

#3: I would like them to actually restore the depth and complexity to the game rather than constantly dumbing the game down. Each game the world gets smaller, we see less skills and customization, less factions, and less features. Granted some other things improve, but overall I feel increasingly pigeonholed.

For example I missed having noble houses, multiple churches, and things like that in Oblivion, as well as the removal of being able to make yourself fly.

Of course in Morrowwind I sort of missed the abillity to join Knighthoods and such (as per Daggerfall) and customize your class entirely down to material prohibations and the like (granted this was rife for abuse, but in a single player game who cares?). :p

#4: I also believe AI companions need work. Truthfully I've been fairly impressed at how Bioware has made the AI controlled party members in games like Knights Of The Old Republic and Jade Empire work so well as extensions of the game. There is no excuse for some of the horrendous AI I see nowadays in games of all types. Not just Oblivion, but also like Fallout 3, or even Resident Evil 5. I mean when you consider games that old masterworks of party member AI years later you know there is a problem. Heck, Bioware even did a decent job with Mass Effect (though I do admit that one did have a few problems, my party members seemed to get pwned a disproportionate amount of the time due to raw stupidity if I didn't micromanage almost constantly).
