This hand-held fetish you mention is affecting Battlefront too I think SquareEnix and Lucas Arts have developed some strange fear of money.

KH3 - Disney recently announced they're done with consoles. (They blamed "consoles are unpopular" for their fail Wii titles. LOL!) and Square was hit really hard by what happened in Japan

SWBF3 - Every company that ever touched the series except Lucas Arts (that is, Free Radical and Pandemic) was killed by the economy, and we haven't heard anything from it since that leaked pre-alpha footage a while backed.
