I would like to see more Turn-Gased Strategy games, just cuz, but overall, I'd like to see more games geared towards adults (and I don't mean just blood and gore, I mean actual meaningful content). It'd be nice to start getting games that actually move the medium forward in the eyes of the mainstream as a valid form of expression, rather than the next Mass Effect ending up on Fox because of the sex scene...

I want to see a coop stealth game. Could potentially be awesome.

They're all great ideas and the more I think about it, the more awesome it sounds. I like the idea about goin to save the caputered player. I think that would work well, but how many players would you have in a game?

At first i was thinking just 2 but now im thinking possibly upto 4. with each character being a different 'Class' or something like that with their own special talents so that the team has to work together and not just having one person running of and getting caught while the rest of you sit there planning a stragegy.
I think it would work with up to 4 players. The different classes is a great idea and it would encourage cooperation. Seriously though, why has no one made this game? Maybe we should copyright it.

Yea i dont know why either. It might be because working out the actual stealth part along with no range barriers and just the whole concept in general. There have been some games that have had stealth elements in them or have just been mostly a full stealth game. But no-one has ever that I know of put out a game that is a co-op game that uses stealth as a core mechanic.

Yea from this moment on this idea is copyrighted by Myself and Hamster! :p

Just another thing. What period of time would the game be set in? More modern war or going back to a time period where assassin's creed was set in where you have to use daggers and trickery and stuff like that?

Yes!

I'd settle for cyberpunk, too. But Steam Punk is win!

Also, I'm a fan of puzzle/adventure games. Y'know, whatever genre the Myst series were in. Those games were amazing.

I want more non-base building RTSes. Like Dawn of War II or the Commandos series. I always like the micromanaging bit, but I hated the base building. In fact, I used to play the scenarios in other RTSes (Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Starcraft, etc.) that didn't require base building over and over.

I'd like to see more First person adventure games. There are a couple already, the obvious one being the Myst series. However i really find that First-person view makes a much more immersive experience.
That's sort of what I was thinking about. Ever play The 7th Guest? Great stuff, that was. I want MOAR.

I just want more corridor shooters in the style of Duke Nukem 3D and Doom. Open environments are great and all, but whatever happened to starting out with your back to a permanently locked door, navigating a maze of some sort that may or may not resemble the sort of building it's based on (there's no way in hell the first level of Doom is actually a hangar), finding 3 color-coded keys, and getting to the exit?

I vote: Single Player RPGs! (If I wanted to hang out with my friends, I'd have them over and we'd drink beer and not play video games) (that's why I don't like Mmorpgrs or whatever you want to call them).

I was totally thinking modern war before but I can't resist the lure of daggers and trickery and stuff like that now that you've mentioned it. I think I'm still going to have to go with a modern setting so you can have a load of cool but ridiculous gadgets. And guns, everyone likes guns.

Offline (single-player) sandbox-style commercial/combat simulations.
Right now people wanting a good, recent game in that category have the following options:
1) X3

The world needs more.

I would love more stealth games like the Thief series because I prefer tactics over mindless running out and getting killed.
Well, I think a new Thief game is coming out next year.

Quoted for truth.

Seriously, the only steampunk game that I can think of is Arcanum, which was great, but that's all that comes to mind. There's definitely a gap in the market there.

zombie apocalypse games seem to be on the rise :/

I wanna see more sorta B movie, old school cheesy stuff. Like a survival sim during a giant monster attack, or one of those horrible Giant Ants attack movies (EDF style).

Might be fun.

Yep high-tech gadgets must come into play here at some point during the game. I wouldnt mind if the game did have guns but i wouldnt want the game to rely on them so much. Mostly because with games like velvet assassin i think its called which yahtzee just reviewed/critized did have major stealth elements in them but at the end there is just guns, guns and more guns turning it into a shooter than anything else. I personally havent played it and i probably wont but it was good to see another MOSTLY stealth-based game.

Also what faction would the players play as and who would they play against?
