What gives you fanboy rage?

So, we've all got things we love. Fandoms, as it was. But, in every fandom, there are things that we'd... rather not acknowledge. Bad sequels, bad prequels, bad adaptations, bad characters, bad stories, etc.

Basically, what is that ONE thing you hate about something you love?

Well, for me, I've got two that spring to mind. As much as I love Final Fantasy X, there is one aspect of it that makes my blood boil. I think all of you will probably see this coming:

Really don't want to go into an entire rant about this, but the short version is, this game makes me want to punt a kitten.

For my second one, I'd like to preface with this: Bronies of the Escapist, let's not turn this topic into a debate about what I'm about to post, kay? This isn't a pony thread. Good. With that out of the way:

Yup, that. I hate censorship, I hate the sound of the voice, I hate the awful quality of the alteration, I hate the fact that they un-derped the eyes, and I hate that it ruins the joke of the original version. And for the record, I don't blame the creators for this, I dont blame the fans, nor do I even blame Hasbro. I blame the overly-sensitive politically-correct world we live in. This is why we can't have nice things.

And with that, let's begin this topic that I'm sure will be absolutely civil and contain no flame wars or hatred.

There is nothing I can think of that makes me both furious and little depressed more than Yoshi bloat/inflation fetish stuff. I would have... unkind things to say to those people.

I'm going to not go for the obvious ME3 stuff and pick something a little more obscure.

If we're talking fan creation then things like the mass effect fanfiction Mass Effect Parallel Realities. If you haven't heard of it, TV tropes has a good page dedicated to it.

Basically those stories written by people who seem to think that if you just remind people how awesome Shepard is every five sentences, that count as a story. It is just a mess.

If we're talking about official stuff, then I'm going to have to say the Halo novel Glass lands. I've only read plot summaries about it, but that pretty much tells me everything I need to know. Why is ONI trying to divide the Elites? Their leader helped defeat the Covenant and is trying to maintain peace with Humanity, and their idea is to support the faction that wants to overthrow him and activate the rings? Hey, genius, quick questions what happens if they win and activate the Halo rings? And while personally I disapprove of the SPARTAN project (mainly it was created to fight the Insurrection and I can't figure out how super soldiers were supposed to stop a terrorist campaign. I seriously doubt our lack of genetically engineered soldiers is the reason the Iraq war lasted for the years. In my opinion it would've made more sense if they were created for the Covenant war) the book completely demonized it, making Halsey to be a sadistic ***** who tortured the kids for fun while in reality she had a massive guilt complex about the project, and the the kids considered her to be a mother figure. I'm starting to get why Karen Traviss isn't well liked by either Star Wars or Gears of War fans. She's an idiot who retcons stories so that her characters are always right and everyone who thinks differently is an idiot. Come to think of it she does the same thing that the author of Parallel Realities did, except this is canon and therefor far worse. Also I find it hard to believe that all the Elites did was practice war, I'm pretty sure that before they made contact with other races they were self sufficient. If you wanted to make it so that they considered warriors to be the highest social class in their society and everything else was lesser I'd buy that but they were dependent on slaves for everything? No, just no.

Well, from what I heard Glasslands is supposed to bridge Halo 3 and Halo 4 so what is in it will probably have heavy influence on the events of the new trilogy, oh and speaking of trilogies grasslands is itself the first book in a trilogy, all of them written by traviss............

Right now I'm just praying that the connections between Halo 4 and Glasslands are the new SPARTANS the Infinity and that's about it. If Traviss is involved I'm just going to pray that Halo 4 is purely about Chief and the Infinity fighting the Prometheans...although with the Sangheili civil war in Glasslands that may possibly account for why we're fighting Covenant in Halo 4, not sure it's still kinda vague. I'll admit the Sangheili being divided on the stance of how to treat Humans and how to react to the Forerunner religion is actually a pretty neat idea, it's just that Humans giving the ones that hate Humanity guns is freaking stupid and I think I might lose it if that's where the hostile Elites in Halo 4 came from.

I'm not a fanboy, so I have yet to experience "fanboy rage." I am a fan, who often times feels rage for the absurd and otherwise idiotic things that fanboys support under the same subject we share.

For instance, Gen 5 of Pokemon. I'm sick of people saying that it's the best Pokemon Gen ever. It's not! You want to know how I know this to be true?

Pokemon Black 2 & White 2.
They are deliberately injecting old characters, Pokemon, and features into a new game because it's apparent that the previous Gens are vastly superior by comparison in concept, enjoyment, and Pokemon than the latest mess.

Well I wouldn't call myself a fan of anything, but then again I have played every single Zelda game except Tetra's Trackers, 4 Swords, Skyward Sword, Spirit Tracks, the 2 Tingle games and the CDI crap that doesn't count, well and the 3 BS[small](That's actually how they are called)[/small] ones from the Satellaview which cannot be played as they were intended to be played anymore, as the radio broadcast is pretty much lost, not to mention only on Japanese, which even though they were 2 remakes of the first Zelda and another version of ALttP, I really would like to play them how they were supposed to, which actually kinda pisses me off, since it's not like F-Zero BS that you can simply get a cart with it recorded, which even though you can it doesn't have the Radio [small](Well satellital)[/small] Broadcast thing, which makes the cool extra events reduced to nothing but luck and good chunks of the dialogue are now missing, how annoying, I think if Nintendo had really wanted to celebrate Zelda's anniversary in a great way, they should have made that for the Virtual Console, just to see what it was actually like, and maybe even do it timed like it originally was, with that almost time trial type thing, that would have been amazing.

And I do know Skyward Sword was the anniversary thing, but see oddly enough, though I absolutely love WindWaker and it's art style, I kinda really dislike the art styles in Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, I just think they look ugly, and I know that WindWaker had the same ugly looking characters, but since it was a lot more cartoony the exaggerated features of the characters faces fitted quite well, since they looked like caricatures, in Skyward and Twilight they just look ugly and bizarre.

I'm with the OP on what they did to Derpy. Yes I know to some this is nothing special and what not but like the OP said this is a fanboy rage for me.
It's for this reason I have a grude toward this woman nicknamed Yamino (she's one of the few people who hated Derpy just because think the whole fandom toward her is really a big offence to the people with that eye condiction).
