My 18th birthday, back in June. I spent the entire day alone, except for the 3-5 times i had to play chaufer(spelling?) for my lil brother and sister. I had to take them to Summer Bible Classes, and to their friends houses. My parents were both busy that night, my mom was working and my Dad had to take my brother to his soccer game. I didnt even celebrate it until a week later. I was so pissed off, esp since my mom told them to schedule her to work that day, because she was going to have to call off of work later that week for my sister's band comp, and my mom could have asked my brother's friends' mom to take them to class instead of having me wake up early to do so. Oh, and all my friends were busy that day so i couldnt hang out with them. It fucking sucked.

I'll never forget my 5th birthday party. I was running around as young kids do, playing with my friends when the glorious call for cake was sounded. In my rush to return home to enjoy my reward for living, I tripped and smacked my head on a stepping stone. I spent the rest of the day in the hospital, screaming and getting stitches. I actually screamed and thrashed so much that they had to put me in a butterfly vest and hold me down to keep me from ripping out the stitches.
Good times, and I have a wicked scar to mark the occasion. Best present ever! *sarcasm* =D

After reading some of the other posts, my worst birthday doesn't seem that bad. On my 17th, I had 6 hours worth of exams but, because of a two hour gap in the middle of them, I had to be in college for eight hours. I didn't end up celebrating it until the following day, due to being so tired.

On my 6-7 birthday I was pushed down in the mud and kicked in the knee.
That was certainly lame of him. I mean on a kid's birthday for crying out loud.

I haven't had nearly as terrible of birthdays as some people on this site, it seems... : (

Anyways, on my 6th or so birthday, I was having a great big party. I invited everybody I could think of, all excited about being old enough to throw such a party. About halfway through the party, I had an immense realization that I didn't actually *like* most of these people.

They were the same loud, annoying brats that they were at school.

And now they were in my house.

I've had an irrational dislike of birthday parties ever since.

On my eighth birthday I ate some poisonous berry (Or something among those lines) and I got a sore throat and I got Laryngitis. It didn't help that someone I knew told me what I had was fatal and that I would die in 10 days.

Worst birthday ever? My 16th. 1993. My friend next door had the same birthday as me, except he was a year older. So our moms got it in their head to throw a "combined birthday party".

Just one problem---Steve was a year older, WAY more popular, and ran with a completely different crowd than I did, and I ended up completely overshadowed and left the party early to go home and just spend my birthday doing what I wanted to do, which was be left the fuck alone so I could play video games and have ONE day out of my life where people didn't have expectations on me.

And my mother had the nerve to yell at me for "all the trouble we went through to plan a party for you". I don't need to tell THIS forum how this is a very bad thing to do to an introvert with an autism spectrum disorder, do I? You might as well have just made me sit in a room with nails on a chalkboard on constant loop on a loudspeaker.

(Steve, for his part, came over after the party was done and just hung out and played Madden '93 with me. He saw me melt down and since we've known each other since we were toddlers he knew me better than my own mother did. Only nice thing anyone did for me all day.)

Got shot down by a girl I really liked when I was 10 years old. It still stings to even mention her name.

Well I spent my birthday in Dennmark last year. I got a doughnut for my birthday. When I got to the house I watched tv in a language I didnt understand and then I found out somebody ate my doughnut! For the rest of the night I blew balloons for my aunties wedding. After an hour me and my cousin were told they already had store bought balloons. I sat down and played on my iPad I then found that it was out of charge and the sockets in the house didnt fit my charger.however the next day was actually nice we watched an English film and went shopping. Its a shame my birthday at the end of December people still recovering from Christmas.

Well, I don't celebrate my birthday so I don't have a "worst birthday". Some people do think I celebrate my birthday though, so they give me money and other useful items. I see it as more of a "Give me useless shit for no explained reason day" really.

My 18th. My friend who claimed to be able to get us into a club for free, didn't come through. The friends didn't come out either.
I hung out with my brother's friends. Nicest thing they've done for me. Still disheartened that my actual "friends" wouldn't want to hang out with me.

hmmm

8th birthday, sleepover at my house with 4 other friends. Weekend so we got to stay up and play NES. We were not yelling, or talking, but sometimes we would whisper loudly as we got into whatever nintendo game we were playing (Gauntlet or Marble Madness probably).

Stepfather comes down and screams at me for 5-10 minutes in front of my friends. Strangest part is that my friends were more scared and upset than i was. It took 20 years before one of my friends decided to visit my parents house. that was only because my parents gave me a call and asked me to help them put up a gazebo and I brought some of my friends that were at my house at the time.

Honestly nothing terrible ever happened on my birthday. I did have one birthday...think it was my 22nd, where i completely forgot about it because there was a huge workload crunch of projects, tests, and general homework.

The first happy birthday phone call that day was pretty awkward to say the least.

I nearly died[footnote]that's a bit of an exaggeration but I was still pretty sick, yo[/footnote] of mono around my birthday a few years ago so that probably takes the cake.

My most recent birthday. No one remembered it, including my mother. On top of that, I found out that I would be homeless shortly only a few days before, and it still hadn't sunk in. So I sat at home alone, looking at my belongings and wondering how much of it was really worth trying to keep.

Aside from a general dislike of the day upon which I was born (February 14), I've not had much trouble relating to my birthday celebrations.
Born the same day as you (in '92), which I also share the same b-day as a cousin of mine (he's a few years older than me though) and a girl I went to school with.

She's part of why I've had a few bad birthdays, but I'll get to that in a moment.

Thanks to my mother telling a psychiatrist I'd made death threats against her (false), I spent my 18th birthday in a mental institution. Mom and I aren't on speaking terms anymore.
Similar happened to me, but it was June or so of last year my mother called the cops and told them that I was chasing after my family with a knife (which was very false, as not only was no one home that day, but I wasn't allowed to go home either), which resulted in my institutionalization for 2 1/2 weeks. We aren't speaking anymore, and neither is most of my family speaking to me.

Anyway, back on topic; I've had a few birthdays where I was flat out ignored, which really hurts when you see pretty much everyone celebrating a holiday about love with someone they love, and seeing the way more popular girl than you that shares the same birthday as you get a ton of presents and attention from your fellow classmates.

My 18th birthday was one of those 'you're going to be ignored' ones, and I ended up going to my older brother's place because of it. Fairly certain that I heard my niece be conceived that night. -_-'

Luckily, my last birthday was the best one I had (spent the day watching A Bronx Tale and eating Cadbury Cream Eggs with the wonderful Mr. Boyfriend).

Just last week, my parents got me the worst tasting cake ever. Half of it was practically whipped cream and the other half was this shitty dark chocalate and banana combo. Since when have I ever liked ANY OF THOSE ON CAKE?! The only way it could have been worse was if it was coconut.

This one was recent. My 21st Birthday. Meant to be special. It was last month. I couldn't actually do anything on the date of my birthday, it was the day after my graduation ceremony and my parents needed me to be at home for some errands. So I organised with a bunch of friends to go and see the new Batman film the weekend after my birthday. I really really wanted to see the film. So very badly. I wanted to experience it in the cinema. There were going to be about 4 friends there, all of which are close to me. However, my best friend had to cancel, I said to her that we will do it the next day then. Here is where I made the big mistake, because this friend is so close to me I cancelled the saturday plans and made it for sunday. Sadly no one else could do sunday, and by that time I had rearranged things completely and I had to go out with my parents. So I meet up with my friend on Sunday, we get to the cinema, then she turns and says "Oh, I'm going to see it on Wednesday with someone else. I should have told you sooner". I did ask her first, I asked her a few weeks in advance, her plans with someone else came more recently. So we end up seeing nothing. We don't even go to dinner like we had planned. Nothing. I went home bitterly disappointed and nearly in tears. Sadly my other friends couldn't make it at all any other day either. I shouldn't have cancelled the saturday. And her plans to see it with someone else fell through then she went with someone else the next day. After she did she told me how great it was. I know it's all half my fault. It still sucked hard though.

Edit: And also my mum was excited for me, since I rarely go out, I never have any money, and bought a cake, sadly the cake ran out of date by the time I was due to go out with my friend.

My 17th and 18th birthdays were spent studying or taking APs. Not horrible, but didn't have a get together with my friends, which was a bummer.
