You die, your brain functions stop, and then you rot. I believe it's like time standing still, everything is blank, there are no memories, feelings, senses, or though. I would say it's like being unconscious but, I don't know how that would feel. An eternal coma if you will.

I originally thought nothing.

We go to break dancing heaven. Where we can all break dance our way along the nike pond, and the reebok meadows. Where all our track suits match, and our kicks are always fresh.

I stand corrected.

Did I mention the Adidias Andes? They provide quite the lovely backdrop while we're laying down the funk.

Is my identity truly tied to my brain? You can dismiss this easily enough, as you seem to have done, but what does it mean to begin with?
You claim to have a plausible basis for saying 'it all just ends when the brain stops working'.
But what is it that ends here exactly?
Physical existence? No. The body still exists, and barring major decomposition, still mostly looks like you, and is in many cases still mostly functional. (as demonstrated by organ transplants)
The ripples and squiggles and blobs that can be detected with an MRI; when that ends, I'm not certain but have good reason to believe that there is no more experience.

Death Isn't Real [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfKGs8OvAh4]
No... But we won't know until it happens. And we can't tell anyone what it's like, so the living will never find out.

You run back to your body. Unless you can't be assed, then you just use the Spirit Healer. Ahh, but then you have to pay for repairs, and there's the rez sickness...

The same thing before birth, as said.

How certain are you that there wasn't something prior to your life that you merely forgot?
Pretty certain. I didn't experience it, nobody else experienced it, nobody else observed it.

The worst thing that I could think about to happen, is that you're still conscious.. Imagine being buried, but not being able to move. All the time trying to scream "I don't wanna go into a hole!"

*shudders*

Well, if things go according to plan, my body will be loaded into a boat, pushed out to shore and set on fire.

To Valhalla, I ride.

I'm an Odinist. Which basicaly means im a viking and what happens as long as you die with a sword in your hands and have money to pay the ferry man, you'll go to valhalla: You'll Drink and Eat from a pig/boar whos meat never runs out, have amazing sex with beautiful women and have fights to the "death" and if you "die" you'll be replenished and start again.. sounds good :D

Well, if you were nasty in life, you apparently go into limbo, which, for reasons unknown to me, is perceived as a bad thing.

I mean, who wouldn't love going into limbo after death? An eternity of "How low, can you go, How low, can you Go?" sounds awesome!
