A couple friends of mine had a battle of wits that was more or less completely made up of them saying ''your mom''. Went on for about fifteen minutes, until one of them, a musical prodigy of sorts, starting chanting ''your mom'' and got the whole room to join in.

and if there is anything I have learned from video games it is this:

as soon as you pick up a gun your vision will obtain crossheirs.

also as soon as you pick up a gun that you may otherwise not have seen in your life you will automatically become proficient in use of that weapon.

It depends on what your definition of "succeeding" is. If you're content with having a family and a halfway comfortable existance, then that is most definitely obtainable with out being an asshole. If you want to be at the top of any type of ladder though, you can't be afraid to step on people on the way up.

I find it rather disheartening how much of a cynical bunch my fellow escapists here are. In reality, your life is what you make of it. If you let the pitfalls take control, then of course you'll have a meager existance. If you instead take them in stride, learn from them, dust yourself off and take that next step like it's your first step all over again, then you will lead a very fulfilling life.

Attitude, attitude, attitude.

Personally I don't find life to be all that bad. Sure it has its bad points, but we couldn't truly appreciate the wonderful times without them. Light wouldn't be what it is without darkness. We each have much more control over our own lives then we realize. It all comes down to your own ambition and resourcefulness. Oh yes, and attitude. =)

Man, what's with the completely misanthropic views that everyone has. Here's what life taught me in little semblance of chronological order:
1. How to function as a basic life form, then progressing into how to function as a human.
2. TV is cool to watch.
3. Don't leave your Ninja Turtles out for your sister's pet rabbit to chew on.
4. If you beat kids up, other kids beat you up.
5. Milk makes me aggressive according to my homeopath.
6. Dragons are the coolest things ever.
7. High School.
8. Humans are shitty asshole covered assholes and the way they treat nature is absolute in its evil.
9. Nature evolved humans into this.
10. Existence is absolutely absurd and that is terrifying.
11. Existence is absolutely absurd and as a result being terrified by it is absurd.
12. Appreciate everything.
13. If I leave somewhere for more than 2 months, drama amongst my friends will inevitably occur.
