Actually Penicillin was invented by a Scottish man in england.Tanksie said:Tiger Sora said:Penicillin, and of course the Robinson's screw and screwdriver. The best screw you can use simply because your screwdriver or drill won't go flying into your knee cap making one embarrassing trip to the hospital where a nurse questions your manhood and handyman skills at the same time.
Australia came up with penicillin.
You're completely wrong, (I'm Australian) and Russia had the largest amount of forces/deaths by a massive number, 1/3 of deaths in ww2 belonged to Russia. I always say that Russia won the European Campaign, then Commonwealth forces, then Partisans and then Americans.y1fella said:I'm not even American when I say this (Australian) but I think you misrepresent the situation in 1945 a little bit. Not that I'm not saying Russia involvement wasn't bigger or more significant than the US's but the war was won when the US joined in because they provided the shear weight numbers that ended the war.Shirokurou said:Russia saved Europe from the Tatar invasion (by taking one for the team for a few hundred years)
Russia saved Europe in 1812 (except you France)
Saved again in 1945 (Don't pretend the US did it, Berlin was taken by the USSR.
And tons of hot women...
Also A slight little aside completely off topic but I heard that in Russia they teach America faked the moon landings. Is that true?
And the lawnmower and if i recall correctly the Mixerthaluikhain said:Well said. People have done things for the world, Thomas Edison built this, Issac Newton discovered that, Gandi supported this, etc, etc but not an entire country.
Sure, the governments of these countries may have pitched in with some funding, groups of people may have teamed up, but never in the history of existence has every man, woman, and child of a society banded together to create this, help that, or the like. Hell, plenty of people in said country have probably opposed a lot of these things. Sure maybe a majority did pitch in, but there has always been someone at home not giving a fuck.
Sorry if I'm a bit off topic, I've just never been a fan of "Well our country created Z"
discussions.
On the other hand:
And, if I remember correctly, the first defeat of Rommel's Blitz in WW2, and the first naval defeat of the Germans in WW1.Matthew Avery said:Australian soldiers provided the first ever defeat of the Japanese on land in WW2.
And on a less militant note, the bionic ear.
Not proud of her? I guess Ellen Page only seems to play USAliens in USAlien movies, though. And half of them seem to be about rape and pedophilia.Angus565 said:I have no idea what you mean.thaluikhain said:Also I note a certain red button amongst your badges.Angus565 said:This is why I will never leave this country <3

Pft...sure, like you can tell the difference between them if they were in the same room, let alone in a 100x100 pixel pic. Canadians all look the same.Angus565 said:I see what your doing and that is evil. Hilarious and awesome but evil! We both know what this button really does...
