Also I note a certain red button amongst your badges.
I have no idea what you mean.
Whatever happened the day I pressed that button has been blocked from my memory.

Penicillin, and of course the Robinson's screw and screwdriver. The best screw you can use simply because your screwdriver or drill won't go flying into your knee cap making one embarrassing trip to the hospital where a nurse questions your manhood and handyman skills at the same time.

Australia came up with penicillin.
Actually Penicillin was invented by a Scottish man in england.

Russia saved Europe from the Tatar invasion (by taking one for the team for a few hundred years)
Russia saved Europe in 1812 (except you France)
Saved again in 1945 (Don't pretend the US did it, Berlin was taken by the USSR.

And tons of hot women...
I'm not even American when I say this (Australian) but I think you misrepresent the situation in 1945 a little bit. Not that I'm not saying Russia involvement wasn't bigger or more significant than the US's but the war was won when the US joined in because they provided the shear weight numbers that ended the war.
Also A slight little aside completely off topic but I heard that in Russia they teach America faked the moon landings. Is that true?
You're completely wrong, (I'm Australian) and Russia had the largest amount of forces/deaths by a massive number, 1/3 of deaths in ww2 belonged to Russia. I always say that Russia won the European Campaign, then Commonwealth forces, then Partisans and then Americans.

Without the Russians, the French, Germans, Mongols, Romans etc would of run all of Europe at some point, we must thank Russia for their contribution to the Earth not to mention the largest area of forest in the world.

Australia:

Most of the worlds agricultural science developements, a chunk of the iPhone apps market and beaches.

A lot of Aeronautics and Nuclear science...And well...

Medicinal science too, things like spray on skin...

We also are good at getting rid of people before they go insane...Ie Mel Gibson and Rupert Murdoch.

Nothing. People have done things for the world, Thomas Edison built this, Issac Newton discovered that, Gandi supported this, etc, etc but not an entire country.

Sure, the governments of these countries may have pitched in with some funding, groups of people may have teamed up, but never in the history of existence has every man, woman, and child of a society banded together to create this, help that, or the like. Hell, plenty of people in said country have probably opposed a lot of these things. Sure maybe a majority did pitch in, but there has always been someone at home not giving a fuck.

Sorry if I'm a bit off topic, I've just never been a fan of "Well our country created Z"
discussions.
Well said. It gets very tiring when people claim their nation's achievements, especially those long before they were born, as there own.

On the other hand:

Australian soldiers provided the first ever defeat of the Japanese on land in WW2.
And, if I remember correctly, the first defeat of Rommel's Blitz in WW2, and the first naval defeat of the Germans in WW1.

And on a less militant note, the bionic ear.
And the lawnmower and if i recall correctly the Mixer

and maybe the Esky i think.

Democracy that actually works (worked?)

(Raises fists) We had a good run!

And the next worthless ad that takes 15 captcha minutes to get past, proving that The Escapist does NOT love you, is for Internet Explorer 9. All dumb enough to still be using Internet Explorer, please raise your hands.

Oh, thank God.

Not proud of her? I guess Ellen Page only seems to play USAliens in USAlien movies, though. And half of them seem to be about rape and pedophilia.

Top hats and monocles. When those go back in fashion, we will be worshipped like gods... in a upper-class fashion, of course.

Killed countless natives, enforced religious beliefs on entire countries, and played a major part in the slave trade. Also, I think it's fair to say we pretty much invented tea as it is known today.

Pft...sure, like you can tell the difference between them if they were in the same room, let alone in a 100x100 pixel pic. Canadians all look the same.

...

Actually...has anyone ever seen both of them together in the same room? I think perhaps you should add "Celebs working double shifts under false names" to Canadian inventions.

The Irish invented the Beaufort scale and Seismology. Nickel zinc rechargeable batteries were first created by an Irish chemist (even though Edison originally had the Patent he never managed to get around to it I guess). I think we had a major hand in radiation therapy too.

Oh and the Kelvin Scale too.

See the Irish don't spend all their time drinking and eating potatos.
