They ban your IP address anyway, so you'd need to use a completely different computer to make a new account. Only way to get around it practically therefore is to use an internet cafe or, like me, use the campus computers at university...
Anyway, if I got banned I'd leave quietly, or possibly new account on university computers.
You don't need to use a new computer. My IP address was banned during the March Mayhem fiasco. See if I ever participate in that frakking contest again....
Anyway, all you need to do is change the IP address of your cable/dsl modem. A lot of people I asked about how to do this said it was very difficult, but that's not true at all. It's incredibly easy. Just bring up the settings for your router, and change the router's mac address. Then unplug the power and the coaxial cable from the modem for about 1-2 minutes. Also unplug the power from your router. When you reconnect everything back up, the ISP should issue your modem a new ip address, and your access to the escapist will be restored. Then you can make a new account.
EDIT: This, of course, will not work if your cable company issues your modem a static IP. In that case, you would have to call your cable company and request them to change it. The good news is that most cable companies only issue static IP's to business accounts, not residential. But in the odd chance they did issue a static ip to your residential account, it's no big deal to call them and request a change due to "security concerns". They won't ask questions.
