Here is the answer I have posted in about five of these threads:

So you just got out of a marathon-length boss battle, against three opponents at once, no less. Your resources are drained, but you have to keep going - nowhere to rest and restock just yet. Some enemies appear, but compared to what you just dealt with, they're complete chumps and you take them out with little trouble. Then this girl shows up - and while you can't quite make sense of what she's saying, you can tell she's pretty angry at something, and she's about to take it out on you.

Suddenly, bullets. Thousands of them. Everywhere. Nothing you haven't seen before, until she goes into a 'rage mode' of sorts and the background disappears, along with all the current bullets. Everything turns grey and slows down, then suddenly she's moved to another part of the battlefield - and between the two points, there's a rift that bullets are spewing out of. Just before they reach you, the slow-mo happens again, and you realise:

This boss is so hard, the game has to give you bullet-time in order for her to be beatable.

Eventually, she 'times out' and escapes, leaving an item behind. A few more enemies appear, then suddenly she comes back and talks a bit more calmly about what she meant before. But then your character says something out of line, and the music changes...

And you discover that she's going to do the bullet-time thing with a total of four more patterns.

You're playing through the fifth stage of Perfect Cherry Blossom. This is what the stage, with both mid-boss and full boss encounters (it's the same girl both times), actually looks like:

This is on the highest difficulty level, but this player is a lot less drained of resources (lives and bombs) than you will be. Guaranteed.

The reason I have Youmu as my avatar is purely for her role as an actual character. As a boss, she's one of the toughest ones I've ever had to face - every single time, she forces me to use at least one continue. Sometimes even with the first encounter. In fact, Touhou has a lot of bosses that are pretty insane, even by its warped standards. Here's a few more examples: Parsee, Reisen, Sakuya, Aya, Ichirin, and every 6th-stage boss. (And everyone in Shoot the Bullet.)

Orphan from FF XIII. It wasn't even that he was a particularly hard boss to figure out, he just had that bullshitty instant kill attack and he targeted me with it every fucking time and always got me even when I had items that prevented it. Good god was I happy when I beat him.

Also, when I was a lot younger, the protopet from R&C 2. I spent so much money on ammo in that game I couldn't afford any decent armour or weapons and got my ass handed to me every time I fought it. I never did get past it either.

Hard to say since I had face many bosses that I consister it to be "hardest boss ever".

I guess it would have to be the final boss in the SNES game UN Squadron (Area 88). It was some kind of a red/ violet futuristic mothership with many turrets and a airplane launcher aswell.
It also doesn't help that you don't have control where you want to fly to as you fly above it and then turn back to face underneath it.
There's a weakspot that will killed by using bombs (since it's located at the center of it) but there are some moving prong to protect the core (but it can be destory).
With all this and many bullets about, to this day I can never defeat it.

Final boss in Metroid Prime is ballsac hard.

It'd be bad enough without the constant filter switching.

Also Yoshitsuna(was that his name?) from Makai Kingdoms. A lot of the overlords were fucking hard to beat actually.

Probably not the actual hardest boss but i was much smaller and newer to games back then. The final Doc Ock battle in the spiderman 2 game took me forever to acomplish.

I loved that boss battle, but yeah that one was tough. Probably one of my favorite boss battles ever.

Still haven't beaten the Shroob Princesses at the end of Mario & Luigi 2. I suppose I could make it easier on myself by grinding, but I don't want to have to go all the way back down the tower just to grind.

It's ether that or he's talking about the Valley of Defilement and just said Blight Town by accident.
Or...he could actually mean Dark Souls. He's part of the Dark Souls User Group and I was reading his comment earlier. I'm not about to fall into such an easy assumption.

Now, onto something relevant to the topic?
I wasn't just assuming he meant Demon's Souls, I was more just trying to give the guy credit by saying it could have been a mistake. Though I should have accounted for the fact that he could have just entered in the wrong name too. The levels do have a rather similar theme albeit totally different monsters, people could confuse the two, name wise anyway (it would be pretty hard game wise).

Now, what's something you would accentuate on that's relevant to the topic?
But this is where you and I differ. Reading his comment in the Dark Souls User Group, it's quite easy to believe that the game he meant was Dark Souls. I wasn't spitting baseless conjecture. And by relevant to the topic, I mean something about the hardest boss you've ever fought, rather than attempting to correct my statement.

Also, read his second comment. He confirmed he meant Dark Souls. So I think we can just kill the argument.

ummm the false king from demon souls was really hard, also remember the first dragon from dragon age took me a while, but for me even trough it's been a long time since, Culex from super mario rpg would be the hardest boss i faced.

The absolute hardest?
Well, the hardest I can remember (at least in difficulty for me) was the final boss of the first Ratchet and Clank, the giant robot-thing piloted by Chairman Drek.
As for genuine difficulty, probably the Cyberdemon from the first DOOM.

Personally, I would have to say Zues from God of War III. He was the only boss I died on and it just kept happening over and over. I finally beat him, but damn was it hard. The only other boss I'd say I had trouble with Was the Joker in Arkham Asylumm or the "destroyer" from Borderlands.

Im going to say Seth from SF4 again I just could not beat the twat on normal or above except with my 2 mains and he is just so unbelievably annoying especially on the higher difficulties. He alone went a long way to lessening my enjoyment of that game as you get no pleasure from winning because pretty soon you will have to face him again and again and again and as far as I know there is no trick to beating him like Shao Khan in MK or Algol in SC4 for instance that could relieve frustration.

Most bosses you can grind through or exploit weaknesses in design A.I etc not so here the cheating baldy speedo wearing prat.

Act VI of Ninja Gaiden. I like to treat whole act as a boss, that way I'm a bit less pissed at getting to the beginnig when dying at the real boss battle.

There a game on the PS2 based after the thing, that horror movie made in the early 80s (thats still amazing). In it there's a boss that I have never been able to beat no matter what I do to change my strategy or how well Im stocked on gear. I just cant kill him so I would say that. No other boss comes to mind that Ive never been able to beat

Mizar from Devil Survivor 2.

I hate him and his regenerative bullshit and so should you.
