The fork from MGS3...you know you're truely badass when you can kill a man with an eating utensil (after losing an eye and being tortured as well).

In multiplayer games I would have o say that shotguns/melee/flak cannons are the least nooby of all weapons due to the sheer fact that you have to be more or less right next to your target to guarentee a one hit kill (unlike snipers who can land lethal body shots from halfway across the map without fear of reprisal), this ultimately means that shotgun players have to put themselves in far more danger than their sniper counterparts and have to be crafty to survive long enough to get in effective range.

Call of Duty 4: No spray and pray, no insta-gib, the G3 is a gentlemen's gun.
Untill someone using the scroll button to fire.

Most guns/perks have counters, I personally think the MP44 is the most unuser-friendly gun in exsistance on CoD4. Fire one bullet and 'OHAITHARRECOIL' and you're staring into the sky.

Shotguns in CoD are hard to use.

1. Bad range.
2. Bad damage.
3. Slow rate of fire (except the auto one..)
4. Double shot glitch.

What? German made weapons are probably the most used in the game, particularly the MP40 and STG-44.

Unreal's Lightning Gun, from 2k4. It's a sniper weapon... That doesn't allow for headshots? Wha? And the game insists on using it unless I use mutators to give me an actual sniper rifle. And it's not exactly "Strong".

Also, using the AVRiL against non-vehicles. 'Nuff said. I think.

Even thought I don't really agree with the whole 'noobish/nooby' idea, as I think it is often used a tad harshly. I think anyone who fights with a melee weapon (which doesn't kill a player with one hit) is certainly a skilled player if they get the kill.

I'm always impressed if someone manages to get me with a knife/crowbar or something, by avoiding my fire power to the point that they have come up several times and stabbed me in the face! Plus, when you get that melee kill yourself, against someone with a rocket launcher the size of your torso, it's pretty damn funny.

I don't understand how anyone thinks sniper rifles are not "noob-y." They're the lamest weapon in just about any game because they allow you to attack from far away without putting yourself in harms way. It's really easy to focus on getting a headshot when there's no one around trying to shoot you in the face. Also they tend to do ridiculous amounts of damage if they're not insta kills. If anything... snipers are the "noob-y"est weapons around.

I'd agree with shotguns, or even more so melee weapons of any kind.

Also just about any weapon with an arc to its trajectory, bows and arrows or grenade launchers especially (unless the grenade launcher does tons of splash damage, than nix that).
Sniper Rifles are insanely hard to use. sure when someone gets a kill but it's only a kill unlike other guns like the LMG where you can rack up loads of consecutive kills

when getting killed by a sniper rifle just remember that the guy that shot it either had to make a split second decison to shoot you or to wait for a better shot.

In every game i played when it comes to sniping

1. your vunerable because your not moving
2. you have to be efficant since once you make shot your postion is useally given away
3. you have to jugde and predict the movement of enimies
4. headshots are useally flukes
5. when you get up close you either have to melee,no scope, or use the pistol all of which are hard to do

so whenever someone is doing awesome in sniping its cause there awesome
i try to avoid being a sniper because i find it hard and it takes to much sill and sometimes chips away your patience

Rail Gun in Quake 3 Arena because you could be shooting at someone with it for like 10 secs and in that time they would have rocket launchered you to death 5 times over
Agree, though - on some maps, the Rail gun is the best one to go for.

well... the argument in this point is void, i have seen noobs shoot awesomely whit snipers in Halo and still suck with any other weapon, also there are real hardcore players that go for the easy "rocket launcher"

in the end it is just a matter of time for someone to develop skills in any weapon, so "noob" weapons dont exist, it is just the preference of the player or the skills one get after some time of playing

IMHO (for all of those who take too seriously what i am saying)

The bazooka was so OP, becuase you could control the rocket. I did the silo map and got an AWESOME run with the rocket where I shot someone at the top of the silo whereas I was at the bottom. I for one enjoyed the pistols for their range and rate of fire - in the hands of a skilled player they were epic.
The bazzooka was OP? what about the RC helicopter that had about 8 missiles and blew up on contact?

Also from this game, the Infared bombs. Difficult to use without anyone realising and blowing them up from a distance, but well worth it.

Snipers are noob weapons, people can pretend they take skill to use but they know the dark truth, snipers are for noobs or pros who just don't feel like trying.
I agree. I think they're pretty easy to use if you don't care where you hit someone. So when sniping I say if it's not a head shot, it's not a good shot.
Camping snipers are noobs but if u move between cover take a shot then move it takes skill and can pay off

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. G3 especially in a regular team deathmatch.
Your controller as well, no matter how hard you throw it, it never changes anything.
