What is the most time you have spent/lost in a single game?

An almost complete file of Kingdom Heart's(I don't know how long it would of took but it was a while). a game 4 hour's into it and i save on the wrong file and in a panic i switch the PS2 off, to later find out both files are corrupted.
Call of Duty's in general, I end up playing them simply because I don't feel like having messages from umpteen people saying "OMG why don't you have this go get it NAOW" it happened before with World at War so with about 2 weeks worth of gametime spread over 4, Mw2 and Waw I have given up. ON the upside it's a couple of weeks as apposed to the months/years that most WoWer's waste so not so bad I guess
Shadowrun is cheap and a good laugh not the most popular game these days but still pretty fun.factualsquirrel said:

When my saves got corrupted in Metal Arms: Glitch in the system, and i has to start over.
Or the time i completed a game 100%, but it turned out i had spell't my name wrong, although, that was more depressing then time wasting.

To all the people talking about how long they played their games, only to *GASP!* not lose their saves or have their accounts wiped for no reason:

It's not about how much playtime you sank into WoW or anything, but how long you spent playing only to have your save corrupted or forget to save.
So here's my contribution:
Oblivion. I finish the main quest, do Knights of the Nine, and am nearing the end of Shivering Isles when something terrible happens.
Lightning bolt during saving.
The next day, when I try to load my save, praying that it's not corrupted, it is. I stare at the tv for several minutes, then rise to my feet quietly, before going on every single one of my online games and griefing the fuck out of everyone for a week.
One of my favourites has to be from Garry's Mod griefing, where I acted like an absolute minge, including ERROR sign playermodel, while playing the weirdest Exosounds I had collected in my time.
Billy Mays here with another fantastic product.

Yeah, it's murderous. When all my deaths turned the world black and caused red trolls to spawn everywhere I stopped trying to beat it and just sneaked my way past 90% of it, got killed one last time near the boss where you pass through a wooden gate only to be backstabbed by 3 plague guys hiding in the corners, then beat the boss on the first try. Whilst I did have long stints with World of Warcraft and Star Wars Galaxies, where I could play for all day for many days, these were intensive periods that kinda died off after a while. Sorry, didnt read the original post clearly enough. I had a pokemon save on the classic game (blue) where I had all the pokemon. Whilst saving on the train, some git barged into me, knocked my gameboy and knocked the batteries out. Game wouldnt load again

When i was playing Mafia the first missions when you have to escape from the mob in the Cab or when you have to run for your life to Salieri's Bar... that, and the final mission "the death of art" (moded version with a lot more of enemies...)
